Jessica Simpson Will Judge Your Fashion Choices

jessica_pr_group

Why exactly is Jessica Simpson rocking a runway with Nina Garcia, Michael Kors and Heidi Klum? It’s because she’s a frickin’ fashion icon now ya’ll! Spoiler Alert: She’s a guest judge on this season’s Project Runway finale and she was working it in a gunmetal Michel Kors sheath at the taping of the final show at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York. (Hallelujah for Kors’ styling!)

Now we love us some Jess, who used to be a singer once upon a time. We also know she’s a fashion designer with her own clothing line for voluptuous women, which we think is awesome. Our issues are more to do with her own very questionable fashion choices like the French maid dress gone wrong and those infamous mom jeans. She’s not the most sartorially savvy gal around, so if she was judging out clothes, we’d probs be all “WTF?!” about it. Let’s hope she does a better job with other people’s outfits than she does with her own.

Jessica Simpson Could Pull This Off

No, really – she could! Good ol’ Jessica Simpson her BFF 4 lyfe Ken Paves got through a boring plane trip playing a little game of fun with wigs recently, and she shared the results with her Twitter followers. While her headgear looks like something Kristen Wiig would wear for one of her SNL characters, we think Jess could definitely pull off a shorter ‘do. Try to argues with these reasons: it shows off her lovely face more, she’s got the perfect jawline for it and her long neck compliments the cut. Plus the publicity from a Locks of Love celebrity hair donation never hurts. Chop chop, Jess! [Photos: Twitter]

Exclusive: Us Weekly’s J-Simp Fart Story Is The Dumbest Thing We’ve Ever Read

jessica-simpson

Sometimes our days are filled with reporting on interesting news stories, salacious scandals and national moments of crisis and culture. And then there are the days like today when we head on over to Us Weekly only to discover them flaunting an Exclusive! Story! about Jessica Simpson farting in a meeting. Ser-i-ous-ly.

We’re not sure what’s more ridiculous – Us making a story out of something we’ve already done like, five times this morning, or the fact that they’ve called it an exclusive. Their brave source who endured J-Simp’s alleged gas blast offered up this riveting take of what went down (or out, rather): “While one of the executives was speaking in a room full of five people, Jessica let out a very loud fart. Her mother [Tina Simpson] was there, and it prompted her to turn around and yell, ‘Jessica!’ The tension was extreme. No one knew what to say.”

A loud fart! A yelling mom! Extreme tension! Surely even journalists embedded with our troops in Iraq have never experienced a moment so powerful or poignant. Idiotic reporting aside, we’re gonna add this to our list of things we love about Jessica. Unlike most of the chain-smoking, self-important divas roaming around Hollywood these days (we see you, Taylor Momsen), the girl posts videos of herself using ear wax candles on her Twitter account and frequently steps out without makeup, looking lovely. We like that she might have blasted one out in a meeting, and she sounds exactly like the kind of girl we’d like to hang out with over a beer or five (yes, we’re not-so-secretly are on a mission to make Jess our BFF).

Jessica Simpson Is A Regular Girl Who Has Ear Wax And Eats Papa John’s

Last night we came across this video of Jessica Simpson using an ear wax candle given to her for Christmas by her BFF hairdresser Ken Paves, and you know what? We totally fell in love with her. All past offenses – Chicken of the Sea, Mom jeans, every one of her songs, John Mayer – were forgiven the instant she shoved a candle in her ear and started screaming.

For as much as the manufactured Jessica has bugged us in the past, the real one always charms our Old Navy pants off. She’s goofy, likeable, naturally easy on the eyes, and willing to post a video to Twitter that reveals herself to be both awkward and a Papa John’s customer. Thank god she’s going to be on VH1 in 2010.
