Best Celebrity Halloween Pics: The Twitter Edition

Happy Halloween, Fablifers! We’ve already shown you the 40 craziest celeb Halloween costumes, and our 10 faves from this past weekend. But those were all such polished, professional affairs, weren’t they? We’re pretty sure that social networking was created mostly so that we could share hastily snapped pics of ourselves and friends making fools of themselves at Halloween parties. And in that respect — silly celebs in costumes, they’re just like us! The collection below gathers the blurry, the scary, the red-eyed, the not-quite-identifiable and the wish-we-were-there shots that famous people from Nina Dobrev and Lea Michele to Eli Roth and Zachary Quinto posted to their Twitter feeds over the weekend. There are some brilliant homemade costumes in the bunch — a bunch of Glee kids as the Rugrats, Leslie Mann as Kreayshawn — after all, many of these actors started off as geeky theater kids. Some A-listers clearly got professional help with their getups (cheating!). And though some look like lame last-minute costumes, we don’t mind because still love seeing the rich and famous not taking themselves seriously.

Peruse the gallery, steal ideas for tonight, and oooh and ahhh at yet another shot of Heidi Klum miraculously making herself gross.

Zachary Quinto Comes Out As Homosexual

Star Trek star Zachary Quinto has publicly acknowledged his homosexuality for the first time in a New York magazine interview. Though a voice in gay rights for many years, the 34-year-old actor had previously declined to speak about his sexuality up until now. He says that it was his role in the recent Broadway re-staging of Tony Kushner’s Angels in America that helped spur his decision to come out formally and become an more active participant in the fight for LGBT equality.

The Broadway drama centers around a gay man who leaves his AIDS-afflicted boyfriend, and Quinto called the part “the most challenging thing I’ve ever done as an actor and the most rewarding.” It exhausted him mentally and made him rethink the current gay community. “As a gay man, it made me feel like there’s still so much work to be done,” he continued, “and there’s still so many things that need to be looked at and addressed.”

While great strides have been made, including the legalization of gay marriage in the State of New York, Quinto is concerned about the abuse that still gets hurled at homosexuals. He was particularly horrified by the death of young Jamey Rodemeyer, who took his own life after being bullied at school for his homosexuality. “As a gay man I look at that and say there’s a hopelessness that surrounds it,” he admits. “But as a human being I look at it and say ‘Why? Where’s this disparity coming from, and why can’t we as a culture and society dig deeper to examine that?’”

The actor spoke more about Jamey’s suicide on his website, and also offered his own video for the “It Gets Better” project. Check it out under the jump.

Anna Faris’ What’s Your Number? Trailer Full Of Funny Hunks

Anna Faris‘ romantic comedy What’s Your Number? doesn’t come out in America until this fall, but the international trailer—despite a visual quality that suggests it was found on a VHS tape from 1998—should definitely get you excited. Among the ex-boyfriends Anna hunts down to see if she missed “the one” are Andy Samberg, Zachary Quinto, Joel McHale, Anthony Mackie, Thomas Lennon, Martin Freeman and real-life husband Chris Pratt, with Chris Evans playing the helpful cad next door who probably winds up being Mr. Right.

Despite the predictability of the plot, Faris (who was an executive producer on the film) clearly holds her own against this formidable line-up of funny guys—we want to see more of when her fake English accent slips into “full Borat.” Plus Number, based the novel 20 Times A Lady and written by Seinfeld/Simpsons scribe Jennifer Crittenden and Scrubs writer Gabrielle Allen, looks way more enjoyably Apatow-ian than your usual movie about a woman afraid to face 30 on her own. Now you just have to wait until late September to see it!

Joe Jonas And Zachary Quinto: Celebrity Doppelgangers?

Joe Jonas & Zachary Quinto

Looks like Joe Jonas has found himself a new role model. Watching the middle JoBro stroll around at The Grove in LA, we couldn’t help but notice how much his recent changes in hairstyle and eyewear have made him look like Star Trek‘s stylish Zachary Quinto. Not a bad guy to emulate, though we wonder what it will mean for Joe’s love life—he’s awfully fond dating clones. Until one of them changes it up—will Zach ever go full beardo?—it looks like we’ve got another pair of Celebrity Doppelgangers.
