Zach Galifianakis Shares Profound Insights Like “Two Thongs Don’t Make A Thight”

I’m not going to lie — I was nervous to interview Zach Galifianakis at the Puss in Boots press junket. He’s kind of a comedy hero of mine, so much so that when I tried to tell him how dearly I loved the show Dog Bites Man, I got the name wrong. Sometimes I get so awks around my idols, guys! Blergh.

Luckily, Zach was really fun to talk to, which is how we ended up spending most of our time chatting about VH1 videos, wedding rings and ladies with thongs hanging out of their jeans. Zach also shared the tale of his cat, F Train, who went missing in Santa Monica, only to turn up living with an old lady who vowed to commit suicide if he took the cat back. You’ll have to watch our interview to find out how that story ended (hint: No one died). LOLs await you in the clip above, which is mostly unedited so you too can enjoy our pre-interview banter about Swing Out Sister, a band Zach claims was played on VH1 a lot back in the day. We’ll take his word for it — he was, after all, a VH1 personality for a hot minute.

John Slattery Defends January Jones Alleged Ice-Cold Divatude

So is she or isn’t she sweetness and light? Little Bobby Draper on Mad Men aka Jared Gilmore thinks January Jones — his TV Mom — totally isn’t. He recently told TV Guide, “She’s not as approachable as the others. She’s really serious about what she does. Everyone else is so nice.” The kid’s eleven! They normally don’t have any sort of filter at that age which means he probably meant what he said. Which, FYI, totally backs up Zach Galifianakis‘ claim that January is a meanie.

With all the reports pouring in about Ms Betty, her co-star’s done her a solid by leaping to her defense. Standing up for her, John Slattery has said of January, “Well, it’s an intimidating character. I mean, that’s the character. Betty Draper is an intimidating woman I suppose, if you were a 7-year-old boy [or] her so. No, she’s a sweetheart. We got lucky. We don’t have anybody like that. I have no doubts she’ll make a great mother.” Sounds sincere to us, but then again, she may have terrified him into saying that!

Celebrities Roll In For The Hangover Part II Screening And After-Party

They all came in droves to watch the The Hangover Part II! And by “they” we mean every type of celebrity. The supermodels showed up—Selita Ebanks and Alessandra Ambrosio. The fashion designer showed up—Calvin Klein. Even figure skater Johnny Weir turned up! The screening was held at the Landmark Sunshine Cinema in New York City, with an after party at The Top of The Standard.

The cast—Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms and Zach Galifianaki —held court with director, Todd Phillips. They were probably quite pleased with the mixed bag crowd who showed up, including the likes of Zach Braff, James van der Beek, Ciara, Ivanka Trump and Russell Simmons. For the full 411 on who was there, check out our gallery below.

Zach Galifianakis Discusses Beef With “Rude” January Jones

Oh, how we love an extremely random famous person beef (remember the great Jeremy Piven/ Chris Kattan kerfuffle of 2009? Those were the days), and a Zach Galifiankis January Jones feud would really hit the spot right about now. While promoting his upcoming film The Hangover Part II to TheShortList.com, Zach had one specific memory about Mad Men star he just hasn’t been able to shake, despite reports that Jones found him to be “the most naturally funny man she’s ever met.” Laughed Galifianakis, “That’s really funny because, if I remember correctly, she and I were very rude to each other. It was crazy. I was at a party — I’d never met her — and she was like, ‘Come sit down.’ So I sit at her table and talk for 10 minutes, and she goes, ‘I think it’s time for you to leave now.’ So I say, ‘January, you are an actress in a show and everybody’s going to forget about you in a few years, so f–king be nice,’ and I got up and left. And she thinks that’s funny?” Ba-zing! Man, we can’t want to see who’s next in the bizarre celebrity cage match: Bradley Cooper and Gary Busey? Ed Helms and Nicki Minaj? That little Hangover Part II monkey and, let’s go with, Chris Kattan?

Kristen Bell Makes Out With A Lady (Monkey) At The Hangover II Premiere

Every bro must be jealous of Dax Shepard right now…his fiancee is such a freak she’ll make out with another lady on the red carpet! Baller! Granted, Kristen Bell was tongued by monkey named Crystal who stars in The Hangover II, but it’s still pretty awesome. Other awesome sights at the film’s premiere last night in LA were a happy Robert Downey Jr., a pregnant Alyssa Milano, and Ken Jeong‘s wife, the subject of his unsurprisingly insane, surprisingly touching “Best WTF Moment” MTV Movie Award speech. After all, if it wasn’t for her brave battle with cancer, we never would have seen his wee penis in the first movie.

Zach Galifianakis: Nude With Duckies

God bless Zach Galifianakis for always being up for anything. (Anything= Showing off his most private parts for the sake of comedy.) When he last hosted Saturday Night Live, he managed to show off some of his goods while lifting up his Little Orphan Annie dress, and now Galifianakis is in a photo spread for GQ where he’s nude in a bathtub and strategically covered by some live duckies. Galifianakis graces the cover of the magazine as well and is a little more clothed in the rest of the photo spread which you can see on the GQ site. We’re just partial to a man and his ducks though.

The Hangover Part II Trailer, Now With More Weenis

Okay, yes, the Hangover Part II trailer seems to confirm what the Hangover II teaser trailer merely suggested: the sequel is essentially the same film all over again. Having traveled to Thailand for yet another wedding, the gang manages to lose Stu’s young future brother-in-law Teddy, played by Mason Lee. Did they check the roof? No, seriously, someone check it right now.

If you thought that we would care one iota about the plot, however, you have deeply underestimated our love of Zach Galifianakis. Ken Jeong’s maniacal Mr. Chow also returns, and the men seem to have accidentally gained custody of an elderly man in Teddy’s clothes, an adorable call-back to Heather Graham‘s baby in the original. While we haven’t caught a glimpse of him yet, we’re excited to see if Liam Neeson’s role in the Hangover II can rival Mike Tyson‘s in the first…and, well, undoubtedly the second. Between battling Buddhist monks, escaping gangsters and watching Galifianakis give the most inappropriate wedding toast of all time, we fell in love all over again. “When a monkey nibbles on a weenis, it’s funny in any language,” Zach says with child-like glee. So is this, Zach. So is this all.

The Amazing Hangover Part II Teaser Trailer Drops, Stars Monkey In A Vest

Strap on your satchels and locate your infants; The Hangover Part II teaser trailer is here! Featuring Ed Helms with a Tyson-esque face tattoo and Bradley Cooper smeared with filth, this sneak peek at the gent’s trip to the seedy underbelly of Bangkok for Stu’s wedding is exactly what we dream about when we take our little tiger snooze.

The film, which hits theaters on May 26, looks like it’s in great shape after the whole Mel Gibson being replaced with Liam Neeson Hangover debacle. Other guest stars include Juliette Lewis, Mamie Van Doren and Bill Clinton, as well as Community’s Ken Jeong reprising his role as Mr. Chow. The question in our mind, of course, is which furry, hilarious creature is going to steal the movie this time: Zach Galifianakis or that adorable monkey wearing human clothes? Its little pants are camo!

Zach Galifianakis’ Hair And A Bunch Of Other Interesting Looks At The Due Date Premiere

SPL222076_025

The cast of Due Date is eclectic in its own right. You’ve got Robert Downey Jr., Zach Galifianakis, Juliette LewisRZA. It’s just a fun but crazy group. And that’s exactly the definition of their red carpet looks at the film’s premiere last night – a little bit fun, a little bit crazy. The biggest question on our mind is what’s hiding underneath Galifianakis’ hat – his hair is so pubed up in the movie, and yet it looks so very flat-ironed and warrior-like here. What’s going on? Some kind of Hangover 2 hazing?

Everyone Was At The Hollywood Awards Gala But Us

hollywood_awards_gala

If you’re an actor and you weren’t at last night’s 14th Annual Hollywood Awards Gala, then fire your agent immediately because everyone else was. We aren’t even actors and we’re still sort of hurt we weren’t invited. Come on guys, we’re fun!

A dazzling array of A-listers turned up at LA’s Beverly Hilton Hotel, including Halle Berry who shone in a darlingly low cut sequined dress. Hilary Swank, Milla Jovovich, Jodie Foster and Helena Bonham Carter were just a few of the many mega-celebs who looked radiant as they made their way inside.

But looking fabulous on the red carpet was just the half of it. The Tinsel Crew then settled down for some hardcore award presentations. Among those honored were Sean Penn for his humanitarian work, Sylvester Stallone who was presented with a Career Achievement Award. Mia Wasikowska and Andrew Garfield were singled out as the most promising break through stars, and Zach Galifanakis won- what else?- Best Comedy Actor. But The Social Network made out the best, netting an award for Best Ensemble Cast as well as Best Screenwriting for Aaron Sorkin.

Get your fill of all the gala glamour in the gallery below!
