Celebs and Ex-Girlfriends Mingle At Idol

There were plenty of celebrities on hand last night to see which contestants would make it to the American Idol Top 12. A whole mess of actors from the Fox network and beyond were hanging backstage to get a glimpse of the wannabe pop stars. (We’ve been constantly thinking that Idol group songs are just like Glee, so it makes sense that some of the cast was there in support or the contestants.) We were also surprised to see Terri Seymour, Simon Cowell‘s ex-girlfriend of six years, show up, especially as Simon has been fighting off engagement rumors. Looks like Terri and Simon are still good friends though, and Terri is even pals with Simon’s fianceé, Mezhgan Hussainy. It’s like they have a real Jerry and Elaine thing going on, those two.

Simon’s Mom Reveals Embarrassing Secrets

If there’s one thing we can’t help loving, it’s celebrities’ veneer of super-cool sophistication falling by the wayside when their family start embarrassing them by speaking to the press. Forget Michael Lohan-style dysfunction, we’re more thinking Justin Timberlake‘s grandma Sadie Bomar ‘fessing up that he’s not ready to marry that Jessica Biel girl. And now Simon Cowell‘s glamorous mom Julie has got in on the act, giving an interview to UK showbiz mag New!, which is the equivalence of opening up those baby photos of him on the potty to the whole world.

On Simon’s early musical prowess: “He formed a band with his brother and two friends. We were on holiday in the Caribbean once and he convinced the hotel to let them play. They were awful!”
On Simon’s tragic first loss: “When Hammy the Hamster died, Simon was upset for a very long time.”
On Simon’s ex-girlfriends: “Top of the class was Terri Seymour...she was my favourite but sadly Simon is married to his work.”
On Simon’s bad habits: “His smoking – I hate it.”

Terri Seymour’s Idol Attacker Did It For Paula!

Janice Thibodeaux, the woman who attacked Terri Seymour—Simon Cowell‘s ex—after the American Idol taping Tuesday, has explained the assault to Radar. Turns out she wasn’t a jealous fan of Cowell’s, but a Paula Abdul supporter who wanted to teach the Brit a lesson!

I wasn’t cool with Simon Cowell choking Paula Abdul on the show last week and with her crying-out ‘help’ as he did so. Nobody said anything about that so I wanted to confront him about it because that is not appropriate behavior, is it?

She was taking some photographs with her camera and I knew she was his girlfriend so I went up to her to tell her how I felt. We started arguing and then I put my hands around her neck and started choking her just like Simon had done with Paula. Then I walked away and I was tackled by the police but I don’t regret what I did because of what Simon did to Paula, nobody seemed to care about that.

Seymour, who showed up with Cowell and Randy Jackson for last night’s finale, has refused to comment on the attack. Abdul hasn’t given her two cents either, but we can’t imagine she’s grateful crazies like Thibodeaux have her back.

Simon Cowell’s Ex Assaulted After Idol Taping

Entertainment reporter Terri Seymour was almost strangled by a woman asking if she was Simon Cowell‘s girlfriend after the Idol taping at the Nokia Theater in LA last night. According to TMZ, Seymour, who broke up with long-time boyfriend Cowell in 2008—but continues to attend events with the Idol judge—refused medical treatment after the attack. The suspect, Janice Thibodeaux, was charged with felony battery and released on bail.

Simon And Terri Just Can’t Let It Go

Hang on, hadn’t you two broken up? Simon Cowell and “ex-girlfriend” Terri Seymour looked very cozy together on the red carpet at a fundraiser last night in Hollywood, sparking rumors the two may be back together. Earlier this week, Terri spoke to Britain’s Closer magazine, where she admitted that she’s still working on the renovation of his house, as well as staying in freakishly-close contact.

“Looking after Simon’s a full-time job when you go out with him — and I’m still doing it now! I’m still overseeing and finalizing his new house. I’ve project-managed it all, right down to the furniture. Simon and I speak six times a day, and I see him all the time. We’re happy as we are. We still see each other as much as when we were together,” she said.

Right. That sounds like a healthy break-up to us, giving each other plenty of space to move on and all that. Any new girlfriend/boyfriend of these two is going to have to be VERY understanding. Possibly even blind. [Photo: Splash News Online]

Simon Cowell Gives Ex $9 Million Kiss-Off

Simon Cowell is either the most generous ex-boyfriend known to man, or he is absolutely sh*t scared about his ex Terri Seymour going to the press. Life & Style magazine are claiming today that the lawn-headed music mogul has given her a $9.6 million golden goodbye as part of their recent split. Apparently the former model has walked away from the relationship with Si’s $4.6 million LA home and $5 million in cash. Gah!

“Simon thinks the world of Terri, and that isn’t going to change. He also understands her reason for ending it,” a source told the magazine

He must think the whole bloody world of her at this rate. Just imagine the payoff if they’d actually been married. Actually, perennial bachelor Simon explained to Fox News yesterday why he won’t ever be going down that path.

“I have never ever said that I want children or marriage. I know some people find it hard to fathom, but it’s me, it’s who I am. Bottom line is I am married to my job … I wake up daily thanking my lucky stars, but to throw marriage into that mix is not right. I have seen too many celebrity marriages that on paper make a great mix, fall apart through ego and just plain celebrity madness,” he told Neil Sean.

Simon Cowell Dumped After He Refuses To Impregnate Girlfriend

Terri Seymour has finally realized what we all knew: Simon Cowell is a rambler. He’s a wild stallion destined to roam the world, searching for boring new talent. You can’t ask a man like Cowell to settle down and raise a family. He must be proud and free—chest hair twisting in the breeze.

While she’ll undoubtedly miss his pointed barbs and baffling haircut, the TV presenter has decided to move on with her life after six years of trying to conquer the American Idol judge. “They are going to remain close friends,” Cowell’s publicist said in a statement. “Simon thinks the world of Terri and that isn’t going to change. He also understands her reason for ending it.”

According to the Daily Mail, so does Simon’s mother. “Simon has always said, ‘I don’t want to get married and I certainly don’t want a family’. I said, ‘Well you will change your mind’. But I still think he’s adamant that he won’t.” There, there, ma. Cross your fingers that scientists will master cloning. It’s not like Cowell could resist creating a mini-me.
