Sundance Stars N’ Scarves: More Park City Fashion

It’s common knowledge that no one can really enjoy a film while suffering from extreme neck frigidness, which is why we’re glad to see the celebs flocking to the Sundance Film Festival are taking pains to keep their jugulars warm. Check out our bundled-up gallery below to see everyone from from Seth Rogen to Elizabeth Olsen, Laura Prepon to Common get cozy from the chin down in Utah. Because you can’t rely on those swag bags for everything, especially hypothermia prevention.

Our Favorite Golden Globes Moments: The Artist’s Dog, Penis Jokes And More

We actually had a scorecard ready to mark how many offensive things Ricky Gervais said at tonight’s Golden Globes, but it seems that he decided to leave the raunch and insults to others. Most of it, at least. Anyway, here are our favorite silly, cute, funny and moving moments from the 69th annual awards show, in semi-chronological order:

» Ricky Gervais said he wasn’t allowed to joke about Mel Gibson, or Jodie Foster’s Beaver. “I haven’t seen it myself; that doesn’t mean it’s not any good.”

» Ricky continued his amusing relationship with Johnny Depp by asking him onstage: “Have you seen The Tourist?” To which Depp answered, “No.”

» Julianne Moore and Rob Lowe very gracefully overcame a TelePrompTer fail. And Downton Abbey’s Elizabeth McGovern tripped UP the stairs. And during one cutaway, we saw Dame Helen Mirren chewing. Thus proving stars’ humanness once again.

» While standing next to Kate Beckinsale, Seth Rogen said, “Hello, I’m Seth Rogen, and I’m currently trying to hide a massive erection. ” And then the camera cut away to a show of Jodie Foster’s kids, for some reason.

» Speaking of kids, daughters seemed to be a big theme of the night. Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy winner Michelle Williams thanked her daughter, Matilda, for putting up with having months of bedtime stories in which “all the princesses were read aloud in a Marilyn Monroe voice.” Best Supporting Actor in a TV Series or Miniseries winner Peter Dinklage thanked his daughter who was home with her first babysitter. Best Director winner Martin Scorsese thanked his daughter, Francesca, for introducing him to the book, The Invention of Hugo Cabret, on which Hugo is based.

» George Clooney borrowed Brad Pitt’s cane to introduce Moneyball.

Seth Rogen Joins Hearts, Bong Collections With Fiance Lauren Miller

Do you take this man to be your lawfully wedded husband, in sickness and in health, in silence and in constant chortling after every sentence? US Weekly reports that Seth Rogen married Lauren Miller this weekend in a ceremony that hopefully made up for Rogen’s topless proposal blunder, though maybe no wedding could be that nice.

The 50/50 star locked it down with his fiance of almost exactly a year at the Kunde Estate in Sonoma, California. “The wedding was more laughs than anything else,” a source said of the Jewish ceremony. “Every other line was a joke and the crowd couldn’t contain their laughter. It was nonstop fun!” The crowd attending the happy couple’s nuptials included Paul Rudd, The Office‘s Craig Robinson, Judd Apatow, Leslie Mann and Jonah Hill, who, if we were the bride, we would have asked to gain some weight back and stop stealing the spotlight on our special day!

Joseph Gordon-Levitt Is Handsomeness On A Stick At 50/50 Premiere

Damn, Joseph Gordon-Levitt. We knew you back when you were just the kid from Angels In The Outfield, and we weren’t impressed with you or your doubled-barreled last name. Then you morphed into that awkward teen on Third Rock From The Sun, and we laughed at your pony tail. More recently you shifted into geeky girl-getter in 500 Days Of Summer, and we hated you for reminding us of every failed romance we’ve ever had. But now at New York’s 50/50 premiere last night, you’ve somehow entered into the Don Draper Den of Ridiculously Handsome Dudes. We never saw it coming. Well done, sir. Although co-stars Seth Rogen and Anna Kendrick didn’t look too bad themselves. Check out more in the gallery below!

Brad Pitt Skips Cannes Award Ceremony For Kung Fu Panda 2 Premiere

Wow, maybe family is the most important thing for Brad Pitt…that or he’s afraid of Angelina Jolie‘s sex grotto. Terrence Malick‘s Tree Of Life won the Golden Palm, Cannes’ highest honor, this weekend, but Pitt—who produced and starred in the film—wasn’t around to soak in the praise. No, the two-time Academy Award nominee had jetted back to Hollywood to stand beside his wife at the Kung Fu Panda 2 premiere in khakis and a matching tan shirt, leaving non-famous producers Bill Pohlad and Dede Gardner to accept the award for the reclusive Malick and ridiculous Pitt. It looks like Brad took Malick’s message of love and family to heart and knew his time was best spent with people dressed like pandas, and friends like Jack Black and Seth Rogen, rather than the cineastes of Europe. Plus, again, the sex grotto.

Check out the gallery to see photos of Lucy Liu, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Marcia Gay Harden and other stars who probably would have rather been at Cannes. But not Brad!

The Top 25 Fictional Stoners In Cinematic History

While the negative effects of smoking marijuana have been portrayed on film for over seventy years, the current age of stoner-friendly cinema can largely be credited to one Judd Apatow. As the unofficial ringleader of the Frat Pack, he wrote, directed and produced a veritable bumper crop of pro-Mary Jane films over the last half-dozen years or so. Films like Knocked Up, Pineapple Express and Superbad worked very hard to smash the stigma that the Reagan administration attached to the cannabis plant, and their tremendous success at the box office unquestionably played a role (albeit, likely, a minor one) in the “Legalize It” movement that is slowly gaining steam in both Red and Blue states.

Although Apatow had nothing to do with this weekend’s release of the latest entrant in the stoner-friendly canon, the medieval fantasy Your Highness (get it?), we here at TheFABLife figured now is as good a time as any to countdown our all-time, Top 25 fictional stoners in cinematic history. From the trailblazing likes of Cheech Marin to the nonsense-spewing Jay of Clerks fame, from the highly paranoid/confessional behavior of Nicole Kidman’s character in Eyes Wide Shut to the perpetually buzzed Wooderson in Dazed and Confused, we hope you enjoy this look at cinema’s most baked characters, maaaaaan!

Beastie Boys’ Fight For Your Right: Revisited Trailer Released

Back in January we reported that Beastie Boy Adam Yauch‘s battle with cancer was successful, and since his treatments have ended, the band has been busy. They’ve been working on their latest album, Hot Sauce Committee Part Two, which will release on May 3, and they made a short film called Fight For Your Right: Revisited, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. The trailer for the short was just released online and as you can imagine, the film revisits and reenacts the Boys’ famous “(You Gotta) Fight For Your Right (To Party)” video and consists of wall-to-wall celebrity cameos. Check out the who’s who of Hollywood comedians (and Susan Sarandon and Stanley Tucci which … sure, why not?) in the video above.

Kristen Wiig Tries, Fails To Bring Glamor To Paul Premiere

Kristen Wiig must have missed the memo. While the men at the Paul premiere were dressed in business casual—suit jacket yes, tie optional, jeans maybe—and most of the women looked like they could have been guests at a semi-formal wedding, the Bridesmaids star showed up in a dramatic, ruffled gown that would have been out-of-place even if it also wasn’t totally sloppy and unflattering. Sure, Liev Schreiber‘s Sheen-style combo of baseball cap and jacket around the waist was also off-key, but when attending the premiere of a comedy starring Nick Frost, Simon Pegg, and Seth Rogen as a wry alien, one’s probably better off erring on the side of informality. No wonder Kristen threw on a leather jacket before hitting the afterparty.

Freaks And Geeks and Undeclared Casts Reunite In LA

We know school is important to you, James Franco, but we think you’re going to regret not attending your high school reunion—at least the reunion of the Freaks & Geeks and Undeclared casts that went down this weekend at the Paley Center. After all, if Jason Segel and Linda Cardellini could both make it, despite everyone knowing Forgetting Sarah Marshall was inspired by their break-up, then anyone could could risk an awkward moment or two. Then again, maybe they wouldn’t have been so open about Franco’s “method” acting, including a crew-scaring moment where he threw on-screen lover Busy Phillips on the ground (in character). “He is the only one among all of you to be nominated for an Academy Award,” noted show creator Judd Apatow.

See photos of the cult comedy casts in the gallery below—We almost forgot that Amy Poehler was Undeclared‘s Head R.A.!

Cameron Diaz Is Red Hot At Green Hornet Premiere

edit

Cameron Diaz has spent the last few days getting sporty in Hawaii kayaking and surfing with her man Alex Rodriguez, but last night, she jetted back to L.A. to fulfill her duties as an actress. Diaz donned a slinky red number for the premiere of The Green Hornet and girlfriend looked amazing in these photographs—sign us up for the Hawaii exercise routine if these are the results.

We’ve also been impressed with the style of Diaz’s co-star Seth Rogen lately, so this was a pretty good looking green carpet. Check out more pics of Cammy D (and her biceps!) in her stunning red number, Rogen, and even the Mythbusters crew all dolled up at the premiere. (Sadly, Buster the test dummy was not in attendance.)
