We still don’t get why this comes so soon after the Oscars, but last night’s ShoWest Awards were redeemed by Katherine Heigl’s dress, which broke a during her Female Star Of The Year acceptance speech and almost revealed a prized part of her anatomy. Heigl impressively succeeded in catching the strap before we got a look at her star-shaped aureole pastie, proving just how badly she’s determined to keep nude screencaps of herself off the web. Despite how it looks in the above photo, Billy Bush did not just pull a Justin Timberlake on her.

For someone who’s allegedy a master at style, Sarah Jessica Parker doesn’t always know how to pick her battles. Days after she unwisely chose “massive, complicated bun” over “hair that isn’t totally frizzed out” at the Oscars (forget The Morgans, Sarah, did you hear about the hairspray?), the Sex And The City star looked considerably more relaxed at Bravo’s upfront party yesterday, where she hawked the upcoming art-themed reality show she’s producing (the working title is American Artist, but we vote for So You Think You Can Paint?). Parker wasn’t the only cinema star present—Matthew McConaughey came along to support girlfriend, Shear Genius host Camila Alves. Be like Mateo, Sarah, and keep it casual next time.

Fashion designer Alexander McQueen, beloved by such celebs as Rihanna, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kate Moss, has committed suicide in London. The 40-year-old fashion icon was found dead in his London apartment, where it appears that he hung himself. A rep for his company confirmed the death, saying “‘It is a tragic loss. We are not making a comment at this time out of respect for the McQueen family.”

McQueen appeared to be grief-stricken recently after losing his mother just a week ago and had posted several emotional messages on his (now-defunct) Twitter page in the past few days.

As a designer he was occasionally shocking, dark and always unconventional but he was beloved in the fashion community and and named British Designer of the Year four times. He was a designer for Givenchy and Gucci, as well as running his own label, and opened several boutiques in the past three years. His death will cast a shadow over the upcoming Fashion Week activities in London and Paris. No doubt the fashion world will honor the man and his talent there and mourn his tragic passing. The rest of the population of Manolo-obsessed women may be nothing but excited about the Sex And The City sequel, but Sarah Jessica Parker says she is actually harboring “enormous regrets” about the film. The hectic shooting schedule has kept SJP away from her new twins, Marion and Tabitha, who were born just two months before filming began.

“It’s been amazing but complicated because of my current work schedule, which I have enormous regrets about. One (twin) would prefer to be held 24 hours a day, and the other is already suffering from type A (demanding personality) issues,” the actress told Glamour.  “It is the eternal conflict of every working woman. I’ve done this to myself. I have a wonderful, wonderful nanny who allows me to be a working person.”

“The great challenge for me is to be all things to all people; I want to be a great mother, and I want to feel good when I’m at work. But it is hard,” she says. What’s Sex and the City star and fashion icon Sarah Jessica Parker’s favorite smell? Dior perfume? Brand new Louboutins? Fresh manicure? “I love the smell of diapers; I even like when they’re wet and you smell them all warm liked a baked good. I love the smell of Balmex. Love it,” says SJP in the new issue of Elle. Diapers?! Like a baked good?! Gross!

While SJP is not taking in a nice whiff of those fresh baked diapers (hot out of the oven from her baby twins Marion and Tabitha), the mother of three is busy filming the Sex and the City sequel. We freaked out a bit on seeing Sarah Jessica Parker’s perm frightwig during filming for Sex and the City 2, but that’s nothing compared to Kim Cattrall’s “I’ve covered myself in glue then rolled around in a retro shop” 80s look. Good Lord. Did anyone really dress like this back in the day? We’re thinking not as all we can remember is bad sweaters. We’re well aware that since the second Sex and the City film started shooting last week, we’ve all gone bananas again for Carrie and co. Whether it’s mobbing the SATC stars in the street or freaking out about an 80’s flashback hairdo, we’re all obsessed with what the ladies are up to (whether we really want to see this movie or not). And it seems they are too. Britain’s Grazia magazine has reported that not only is Sarah Jessica Parker determined to dress like a fashion freak, she’s also concerned with looking young, way beyond the usual skin-and-fitness-regimens.

“She wants to make sure she gets all the help she needs to look young and fresh. She’s consulted hair guru John Freida [and stylist Serge Normant]. Between them they’ve come up with the perfect anti-aging hair shade,” it reports.

WTF? As far as we can tell, “anti-aging” hair  means it’s not permed and not gray. Even juicier, it seems weight concerns aren’t only limited to the ladies (about time too), as reportedly Chris Noth was instructed to lose 14 pounds at a Brazilian detox spa before filming started. “Both Chris and Steve [Eisenberg] were given personal trainers before shooting began…it’s believed [Chris] has only lost 5lb so far,” claims a source.
