George Clooney Defends Demi Moore, Slams Release Of 911 Call

George Clooney, what’s it like it be so handsome and so gallant? It’s exhausting, right? George may have hit up the SAG Awards yesterday to represent for The Descendants, but he still made a point to stick up for friend Demi Moore while he was at it. “It’s always troubling when people you know and people who you care about end up going through a difficult time,” Clooney told The Insider on the red carpet. before lambasting the decision to release Demi Moore’s 911 call to the public. “I think it’s a stupid thing,” he explained. “I think it’s stupid for anyone, whether they’re celebrated or not, I don’t believe their 911 call should be broadcast around the world, but that’s my opinion.” Man, we want George Clooney to defend us to the press; he does it with such class.

Moore’s call, placed by a friend from the star’s L.A. home last Monday, was stripped of any references to drugs; some allege, however, that the call indicates Demi’s daughter Rumer Willis was present at the time of the crisis. Said Clooney, “What’s happening and what people have to remember is that people are getting famous from Facebook and Twitter, so it’s not just about people here, it’s about everybody. There won’t be any version of privacy. So it’s going to be a tricky thing.” It is a chilling thought that anyone’s 911 call could be made public. Celebrity emergencies aside, do you know many people get things stuck in their butts and have to be rushed in for a humiliating E.R. visit? Or, um, so we’ve heard.

Rumer Willis Rocks Daisy Dukes

There’s a couple of things going on here with Rumer Willis. She stopped off at a gas station yesterday in California wearing … this. Not only are the Daisy Dukes tiny, they’re also high-waisted. On top of that (literally) is her unbuttoned blouse showing off her black bra. And then she’s got those tepid floral stacked stilettos on. What’s going on, Rumer? Is this for an audition of Pretty Woman: The 21st Century? We still think she could have pulled the shorts off had it not been for that very tacky unbuttoned top. No one wants to say hello to random, pale boob out in the bright, California sunshine. Do you agree?

Rumer Willis For Badgley Mischka

Late last year, Rumer Willis was announced as the face for Badgley Mischka‘s Spring 2011 campaign. We don’t have anything against Rumer, but seriously? The fashion label’s worn by everyone from Taylor Swift to Helen Mirren and pretty much every age and caliber in between. And they picked Rumer? Mark Badgley and James Mischka gave their reasons in a statement, explaining, “We adore Rumer. She is glamorous, youthful and fun. Rumer captures the spirit of our spring collections, especially our newly launched Mark+James collection.” If you say so. We still don’t quite get it.

Newest Random (Apparent) Hook-Up: Rumer Willis And Zac Efron

This is a rumor that makes us arch an eyebrow, unlike the one about Ryan Reynolds and Sandra Bullock that makes us want to bounce around on pogo sticks. Like the alleged “quality time” BullRey have been spending together, Zac Efron and Rumer Willis apparently, have been enjoying much of the same.

The newly single Zefron is on vacay, for some strange reason, with Rumer’s whole family in Turks & Caicos. They’re all holed up at The Parrot island Resort where Zac and Rumer rang in the New Year a deux looking, as a source revealed, “extremely cozy”. Of course they’re going to look “cozy”. Vacation pheromones are the the most potent kind! Plus it’s probably all simpatico there what with Zac and Ashton Kutcher basically being the same age!

But if this is going to turn out to be more than just a holiday hook-up, then Rumer has stiff competition from Zac’s ex of like, a billion years in Hollywood-time, Vanessa Hudgens. A source has totally nixed the possibility of the holidaying hotties getting together because of Baby V’s loving ex-but-not-quite clutches. “They speak every single day… they wanted some free time, but they’ll get back together”, predicted the source. Spoilsport.

Miley Pops Off At 18th Birthday Party, Drops Plans To Cover Poison

Like Snooki, Miley Cyrus wasn’t going to wait until Tuesday to celebrate her birthday. Instead, the nearly-18-year-old indulge in a private party after last night’s American Music Awards, trading the long-tailed glam of her red carpet appearance for a tasteful black bikini-top and matching skin-tight pants (adulthood, y’all!). While the gruesome details are certain to come, Miley warned Access Hollywood in advance that she and mommy Tish would be facing each other in a dance-off. “Me and my mom actually have choreography for the night later — everyone loves when we dance in unison. There’s one [move] where you do like, the fist pump. You Jersey Shore it for a second!”

Sunday wasn’t entirely full of questionable choices, though. According to TMZ, Miley decided at the last minute not to cover Poison‘s “Every Rose Has Its Thorn” for the AMAs broadcast, plausibly because Bret Michaels was rumored to be dallying with Tish before she announced plans to divorce from Billy Ray Cyrus. Though everyone’s denied the claims, odds are Daddy wouldn’t have given that song choice his trademark standing “O”. See photos from Sunday in the gallery below.

Update: TMZ has a photo of Miley getting a birthday kiss—and straddle—from a guy at the party who looks a lot like rumored boyfriend/actor Avan Jogia. Careful, dude: she’s not really 18 until tomorrow!

Demi Moore Gives Daughter Rumer Pole Dancing Lessons

There’s a trend brewing in Hollywood these days where cool celebrity moms take pole-dancing lessons with their daughters. Susan Sarandon and Eva Amurri did it and now Demi Moore and Rumer Willis are getting on board. The New York Post reported that Moore gave Willis a pole-dancing lesson at the Chateau Marmont in Hollywood for her birthday party and mom and daughter both gave the pole a spin, while A-listers like Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Aniston, and Rumer’s stepfather Ashton Kutcher looked on. In perhaps the creepiest quote of the day, the Post reports that after Willis gave it a try “Everyone was cheering, and Leo gave Ashton a high-five.” Hey, your stepdaughter’s thighs can really grip that thing, up high, bro!

We wonder though, is this trend actually cool? We get that working the pole has been a workout craze for a while, but when you get down to it, it’s still not something we’d want to do in front of, with, or even in the same state as our mom. ‘Cause of, you know, the strippery vibe. It’s the oldest, cheesiest line in the book — usually delivered by guys trying to suck up to your parents before they break your heart. But in this case it’s actually true. By waiting for her daughter to reach the age of 20, and traveling back in years herself via the medium of surgery and just plain spookiness, Demi Moore has finally achieved the exact visual age of Rumer and they totally resemble sisters.

The mother/daughter duo were at the premiere of Ashton Kutcher‘s movie Spread, and as if the age-melding thing wasn’t difficult enough for Rumer, her mom and stepdad then proceeded to yuck it up for the cameras. Comic-Con: Geek Fest No More

What was once an intimate geekapalooza has now evolved into a gathering of the hottest bodies in Hollywood. The beautiful people continue to flock to San Diego for this weekend’s annual Comic-Con, which celebrates the comic book’s contribution to mainstream culture. Zoe Saldana, Kristen Bell, Olivia Wilde, Audrina Patridge, Megan Fox, Cameron Diaz, and of course the cast of New Moon are some of the attendees heating things up. Often elusive but always gorgeous Johnny Depp even made a surprise appearance when friend and director Tim Burton presented their highly anticipated film, Alice in Wonderland. Rumer Willis Plays Lesbian On 90210

Everything old is new again, especially when it comes to high school drama shows. Looks like 90210 is resurrecting the lesbian-character-as-plot-device, but this time, the lesbian will be played by Rumer Willis. Willis will play a “punky, cute lesbian” named Gia who works at the Blaze Newspaper at West Beverly High. She’ll be on for at least one episode.

This is the second time a lesbian has shown up in Beverly Hills – remember the time Kelly Taylor got caught in a fire with a lesbian and then that lesbian fell for Kelly on the original Beverly Hills, 90210 and stalked her? We wonder if the Jennie Garth character, who now plays a guidance counselor at West Beverly, will share some words of wisdom with her new student about how to deal with the pressures of the famous zip code.
