Stars Re-create Martin Scorsese Movie Scenes For Harpers Bazaar

That’s Chloe Moretz and Keanu Reeves re-creating Taxi Driver for the November issue of Harpers Bazaar, by the way. The magazine pays homage to Martin Scorsese with a photo spread re-enacting some of his most memorable movie scenes. It’s a pretty fantastic idea with stars like Kate Bosworth doing The Age of Innocence and our favorite: Christina Hendricks posing for Gangs of New York.

The shoot accompanies an article with celebrities talking about their Marty moments — collaborations, anecdotes, stories from the set and such! Jodie Foster reminisces about Taxi Driver, saying, “When we were shooting Taxi Driver, I think Marty was really uncomfortable with the fact that I was so young. The memory I have is of him and Robert De Niro trying to tell me how to unzip [De Niro's] pants. And Marty keeps bursting out laughing. He can’t get a word out, and he tries to act serious, you know? He keeps smoothing down his face on both sides, but he just keeps laughing…” This one’s a classic, folks. Especially if you’re a movie buff. Scorcese’s first-ever 3-D family flick, Hugo, is in theaters on November 23.

The Situation Wants To Be The Next De Niro. Or The Rock

Not content with merely being a a stomach flashing reality tycoon, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino wants a chance to flex his acting muscles, which he seems to think are as big as his biceps. In fact, he wants to follow in the footsteps of great thespians like Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, Leonardo DiCaprio…and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. Let’s aim for The Rock and see what happens, Mike. To be fair, he does have some similarities with this list of masters. He shares the Italian heritage with Rob, Al and Leo, and both The Sitch and The Rock are known for being shirtless. Plus they both have “The” in their names. He’ll be a natural!

He recently opened up to In Touch Online about his next career move. “Obviously, I look up to De Niro and Pacino, and for someone who’s closer in age Leo [DiCaprio] — I’d eventually like to make great movies someday,” told “But I’m trying to go in a trajectory similar to ‘The Rock,’ [Dwayne Johnson], who took his bold personality and phrases from the WWE into film.” We’re not sure if you can jump from the Rock track to the De Niro track, but Mike’s sure gonna try! He’s making his acting debut with a cameo in the upcoming Three Stooges remake. Maybe someday he’ll be trading those vodka bottles for Oscars.

Bono Brings Big Names To Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark Opening Night

Bono and The Edge may tell the media that Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark is only “90% done,” but that didn’t stop them from rolling the red carpet out for the powerful pals at Tuesday’s opening night performance. Among the celebs on hand for the musical’s first “official” performance (following months of notorious “previews”) were former President Bill Clinton, Robert De Niro, Matt Damon, Jay-Z, Cindy Crawford, Spike Lee and Helena Christiansen. Even original director Julie Taymor, fired after refusing to make changes to the critically maligned, accident-prone show was on hand despite her lawsuit against the producers. It’s been a long decade to this moment for the musical’s makers—will staying on Broadway be even harder?

Spike TV’s Annual Guys Choice Awards Brings Out The A-List

Spike TV’s Annual “Guys Choice Awards” Show almost got completely sidelined thanks to the MTV Movie Awards. Both shows happened on the weekend, but the Guys Choice was one day earlier. But never fear, we’ve got the pictures that matter. “Decade of Hotness” winner Jennifer Aniston receiving her award in a tiny Azzedine Alaia black dress on the stage, for one!

Newly 40 Mark Wahlberg also won both ”Guy of The Year” and the “Guy Movie of the Year”, while Keith Richards won the “Brass Balls” of the year (handed over to him by Robert de Niro no less)! Mila Kunis was on hand to receive the “Holy Grail of Hotness Award” from Justin Timberlake and Jim Carrey won “Funniest MF.” Sean Penn and Scarlett Johansson were there acting quite chummy, so the plot thickens! See what we mean? That’s a lot of A-List! Check out our gallery below for all the pictures.

Uma Thurman Sports A Split At Cannes: Too Much Or Just Right?

Uma Thurman is getting high marks for the Versace dress she wore to the opening ceremony of the Cannes Film Festival yesterday, but most of the pics being shared show Uma with legs (and gown) closed. Is it because of how much thigh the center split of her gown showed otherwise? The dress definitely made her the belle of this year’s jury (Jude Law didn’t stand a chance!), but do you think fashion watchers are looking at this thing head-on?

The Vanity Fair Tribeca Film Festival Party Brings Out Every Category Of Stars

When Vanity Fair throws a party, everybody comes. So it was no surprise that when they threw a party at the Tribeca Film Festival, celebrities, old and new, and of every profession turned up. Young Hollywood was ably repp’d by Anna Kendrick and Abigail Breslin. Hollywood royalty, on the other hand, included the likes of Robert de Niro, Harvey Keitel, Christopher Walken and director, Ron Howard.

There were designers (Calvin Klein and Diane von Furstenberg), rappers (Pharrell) and supermodels (Helena Christensen) that went as far back as Lauren Hutton, even! From the miscellaneous lot, Jerry Seinfeld, Zach Braff, Martha Stewart, Ed Burns, and Emily Mortimer showed up. Take a look at our gallery to watch the motley crew arriving at the do.

Robert De Niro Also Has A Beef With Donald Trump

Donald Trump and his birther presidential platform isn’t doing him any favors among the Hollywood crowd. Not only has Jerry Seinfeld expressed disapproval at Trump and dropped out of a charity benefit because of Trump’s vocal anti-Obama stance, but now Robert De Niro is telling Trump to give it a rest too.

In an interview with NBC’s Brian Williams this weekend, De Niro said “I won’t mention any of the certain people on the news in the last couple weeks, but what are we doing? This is crazy. They’re making statements about people that they don’t even back up. Go get the facts before you start saying things about people.” Williams tried to nail down who De Niro was referring to and asked “Any of those people have shows on my network on Sunday night?” and De Niro continued, “It’s like a big hustle. It’s like being a car salesman, don’t go out there and say things unless you can back them up. How dare you? That’s awful to do. To just go out there and speak and say these terrible things?”

Even though De Niro didn’t explicitly name names, Trump’s ears still perked up at the thought of someone talking about him and blasted De Niro today, calling the actor “not the brightest bulb,” and then saying “I like his acting, but in terms of when I watch him doing interviews and various other things, we’re not dealing with Albert Einstein. He can say what he wants, but the fact is that this guy has not revealed his birth certificate, a lot of people agree with me.” To anyone who thinks New York City is just full of liberal elites, let this be a lesson that Trump throws that balance off completely. We’re really only two-thirds liberal elite, one third orange crazypants.

Ozzy Osbourne Makes His Big Screen Debut

No, really guys. God Bless Ozzy Osbourne premiered at the 10th Annual Tribeca Film Festival yesterday in New York and the Osbourne family were out in full force to support their fuzzy patriarch. According to IMDB the film also features “…never before seen footage uncovered from the archives and interviews with Paul McCartney, Tommy Lee and others, God Bless Ozzy Osbourne is the first documentary to take viewers inside the complex mind of Rock’s great icon….” We just hope Ozzy was able to understand everything that was going on around him because that “complex mind” is a bit addled now.

The Top 25 Fictional Stoners In Cinematic History

While the negative effects of smoking marijuana have been portrayed on film for over seventy years, the current age of stoner-friendly cinema can largely be credited to one Judd Apatow. As the unofficial ringleader of the Frat Pack, he wrote, directed and produced a veritable bumper crop of pro-Mary Jane films over the last half-dozen years or so. Films like Knocked Up, Pineapple Express and Superbad worked very hard to smash the stigma that the Reagan administration attached to the cannabis plant, and their tremendous success at the box office unquestionably played a role (albeit, likely, a minor one) in the “Legalize It” movement that is slowly gaining steam in both Red and Blue states.

Although Apatow had nothing to do with this weekend’s release of the latest entrant in the stoner-friendly canon, the medieval fantasy Your Highness (get it?), we here at TheFABLife figured now is as good a time as any to countdown our all-time, Top 25 fictional stoners in cinematic history. From the trailblazing likes of Cheech Marin to the nonsense-spewing Jay of Clerks fame, from the highly paranoid/confessional behavior of Nicole Kidman’s character in Eyes Wide Shut to the perpetually buzzed Wooderson in Dazed and Confused, we hope you enjoy this look at cinema’s most baked characters, maaaaaan!

Alyssa Milano’s Pregnant Belly Steals Another Movie Premiere

Alyssa Milano‘s pregnant belly already upstaged her co-stars at the Hall Pass premiere—now she’s taking over events for movies she didn’t even star in! Stars Bradley Cooper, Robert DeNiro and Abbie Cornish were all in attendance at the premiere of their upcoming drama Limitless, but surprise guest Milano took plenty of the camera time, posing with her hands under her stomach—just in case you forgot she was expecting. Is it too late to digitally add her to the movie?

Check out photos of Milano and the other stars in the gallery below.
