Kim Kardashian And Kris Humphries Join The Short Marriage Club

Looks like Kim Kardashian’s divorce from Kris Humphries is now official. “After careful consideration, I have decided to end my marriage,” Kim said in a statement to E! News. “I hope everyone understands this was not an easy decision. I had hoped this marriage was forever, but sometimes things don’t work out as planned. We remain friends and wish each other the best.” Meanwhile, new hubby Kris sounds a lot less thrilled about the announcement, saying in a statement, “I’m committed to this marriage and everything this covenant represents. I love my wife and am devastated to learn she filed for divorce … I’m willing to do whatever it takes to make it work.” They still had that new marriage smell, too!

While Kim and Kris might be ready to sign those divorce papers only 72 days after their nuptials, they are nowhere near the first celebrity couple to bail out of their wedded bliss just weeks or months after walking down the aisle. From Mario Lopez to Britney Spears, Liz Taylor to Lisa Marie Presley, let’s look back at our favorite shortest Hollywood marriages:

Colin Firth’s Pre-Oscar Hustle: Can The King’s Speech Beat The Social Network?

Colin Firth of the sexy open shirt may be a shoo-in for Best Actor at the Oscars this year, but you wouldn’t know it from all the events he attended Monday. Following the traditional Oscar Nominees Luncheon, Firth skipped off to the AARP’s 10th Annual Movies For Grown Ups Awards with his The King’s Speech co-stars and crew. And if that wasn’t enough handshakes for one day, Audi threw a party for the film at the Chateau Marmont, attended by everyone from Mick Jagger and Orlando Bloom to Bridget Jones herself, Renee Zellweger. Why all the hobnobbing when he’s already won just about every trophy leading up to the big event? Because the Weinstein Company thinks they can do even better than Best Actor.

Though The Social Network has long been considered the front-runner for Best Picture, The King’s Speech is now considered the most likely dark horse candidate to steal the prize. Weinstein Company head Harvey Weinstein, a notorious Oscar angler who managed to push Shakespeare In Love past Saving Private Ryan in the ’90s, and he’s basically making the same campaign for The King’s Speech, pushing it as a family-friendly alternative to an ugly bit of zeitgeist—movies about the mean young pricks behind Facebook won’t really fly with the AARP crowd. Do you think they’ve got a shot or will they have to settle for Colin’s wall of Best Actor nods?

The Ultimate Fashion Victim Gallery: Stars Before They Had Stylists…Or Style

awkward_main

Before the stars were stars, they were normal people trying to make a living. Every penny they made was spent on rent and food, not stylists and clothing. That’s why it’s so awesome to see celebrity before-and-after shots: getting a glimpse of what J.Lo looked like with crazy eyebrows or when Alec Baldwin was just a sliver of his current self. We wanted to honor some of our finest actors and performers by going back in time—back to when no one could bother to get their clothes tailored, they were too cheap to use anything but boxed hair color, and the word “stylist” didn’t even exist in Hollywood. Some of these people are a victim of the era from whence they came, but others have no excuse. The important thing to remember: these people had a choice about how to dress, and these are the outfits they chose. The awkward, tragic outfits they chose.

The A-Team Limps To Paris, Bringing Their Lovers For Support

The A-Team

You know what must suck for actors? Not being able to run from a flop. Though the A-Team made less than half as much money in its first week as The Karate Kid (four badasses don’t remotely equal one Jaden Smith, apparently), the film still requires some international promotion, explaining the forced grins of Bradley Cooper, Jessica Biel and all the other not-likely-to-see-a-sequel actors by the Eiffel Tower in Paris yesterday (the laughing-or-shrieking Bradley even did a modest reprise of his Hollywood premiere shtick, showing up in a jeep instead of a tank).

Whether The A-Team is really an A-Team, Paris is really Paris, meaning the stars didn’t have a hard time getting their loved ones to come along for the trip. Jessica was spotted at dinner with Justin Timberlake, while Bradley’s girlfriend Renee Zellwegger got her jog on nearby. See photos of all the stars in the gallery below.

Kat Von D Shows Her Stripes At “An Evening With Women”

Kat Von D

Bam Margera must have been off being married to another woman last night, because for once he wasn’t hanging off “just” friend Kat Von D on the red carpet. The tattoo artist/model put on her finest stripes to attend “An Evening With Women: Celebrating Art, Music & Equality,” an event held by the LA Gay & Lesbian Center in Beverly Hills, featuring performances by Pink and Linda Perry. See their wild outfits, as well as Renee Zellweger and AnnaLynne McCord, in the gallery below.

Bradley Cooper Goes Bad-Ass For The Dark Fields

Bradley Cooper

When exactly did Bradley Cooper become an action bad-ass? Ten years ago he was Amy Poehler‘s gay musical partner in Wet Hot American Summer, taking TV roles (Kitchen Confidential) and bit parts in comedies (perhaps you saw The Comebacks?) before stardom came calling with last year’s The Hangover. He lost the part of Green Lantern to Ryan Reynolds, but his heroics in the upcoming A-Team movie must have been impressive enough to snag him the lead in The Dark Fields, a full-blown “techno-thriller” about mind-altering designer drugs co-starring Abbie Cornish and Robert DeNiro.

Shia LaBeouf was originally set to play Eddie, a slacker turned hyper-intelligent speed freak, but now it’s Bradley getting a gun pulled on him by some Statham-esque thug on set. If The Dark Fields—planned for March 2011—and The A-Team are hits, it might be a while before we see Cooper chasing Sandra Bullock in a rom-com like All About Steve again. Let’s hope it doesn’t get to his fake-tanned head!

See photos of Cooper and Cornish filming in Union Square—plus Renee Zellweger stopping by the set to visit her “boyfriend”—in the gallery below.

Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen: Who Looks Worse?

New York experienced some lovely weather this Easter, but judging from the shrouded trolls at Lend Me A Tenor‘s Broadway opening last night, you’d think it was as chilly as a Tim Burton movie. Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen looked positively witchy at the musical’s premiere, with Mary-Kate wearing a massive black coat and both sporting see-through lace gowns and sunglasses. Thankfully, stars like Renee Zellweger, Julianne Moore and Zach Galifianakis kept the shindig from going too goth. Get a closer glimpse at these stars (and more!) in the gallery below and let us know which twin’s look was least impressive in our FABLife poll.

Reese Witherspoon Vs. Renee Zellweger: Who Looks Hotter?

What don’t Reese Witherspoon and Renee Zellweger have in common? Both are currently unattached, exceptionally skinny blonde actresses with broken marriages, countless romantic comedies and an Oscar each to their names, and both showed up in slim mini-dresses to the Vogue party for Vera Wang‘s new store in LA Tuesday. If it wasn’t for Reese’s kids and Renee’s workout pants, we’d think they were the same person. Similarly slim stars like Mila Kunis, Rachel Zoe and Nicky Hilton also attended the event, but—with all respect to Wang herself—everyone knew who the big stars were last night. So who’s looking hotter? Check out the gallery and let us know in our TheFABLife poll.

Haiti Telethon Lineup: RPattz Added And Just About Every Other A-lister, Too

robert-pattinson-hope-for-haiti

When news broke that George Clooney‘s Hope for Haiti Now telethon would airing Friday at 8PM EST on VH1, MTV and just about every channel on your television set, scant details were available as to which celebs would be involved in the show. But that didn’t stop us from starting our Official Hope For Haiti Now Telethon Lineup guessing game. We’re happy to report that our initial list is shaping up to be remarkably accurate (Anderson Cooper‘s involvement doesn’t count because he’s a newsman who sometimes acts like a celebrity, not an actual celebrity).

Performing at the Hope for Haiti Now telethon: Bono, Jay-Z, Jennifer Hudson, Alicia Keys, Christina Aguilera, Sting, Taylor Swift, Bruce Springsteen, Shakira and many others who have yet to be announced. There will also be no shortage of A-listers either speaking or manning the phones to take donations, according to E! Online. So if you’ve ever wanted to ring Jennifer Aniston or Jon Hamm late one lonely Friday night, this may be your one and only shot. Also participating are Jake Gyllenhaal, Brad Pitt, Colin Farrell, Zac Efron, Bradley Cooper, Renee Zellweger, Anna Kendrick, Sandra Bullock, Courteney Cox, David Arquette, Gabby Sidibe, Chris Pine and Emily Blunt.

As for Robert Pattinson, he’ll be hosting the London segment of Hope for Haiti Now. Clooney and pals will be based at the show’s headquarters in Los Angeles while Anderson Cooper reports from Ground Zero in Haiti. Performances will take place in L.A., New York and London.
