Rumor We Love: Quentin Tarantino Is A Toe-Sucking Fetishist?

How we reveled when we read Gawker‘s piece on Quentin Tarantino‘s apparent toe-sucking fetishism. That’s not something you get to hear about every day, ya know. If you find this title of this post fully WTF, then wait till you the whole story. Although, whether it’s a story or a tall tale is something we’ll probably never know. It all stems from an email a young lady sent out to fifteen of her acquaintances and friends. Yes, fifteen of them, which ironically corresponds with her pending “15 minutes of fame.” This woman apparently met Quentin at a schoomzy party where he dropped such pick up lines as “…you’ve got a mouth on you. I like that.”

Sassy lady and Quentin went full-out and publicly made out at the party, and also headed back to his house where they took flirtatious pictures together in a photo booth . Which isn’t bulls—t, because she included the pictures. Which you can see resting on what looks like a film script — nice touch, lady! After a brief cameo by Jamie Foxx, the couple continued making out, and then he took her to the bedroom. Cue the sexy music, right? Well … let’s hold judgement on that.

Girlfriend decided she actually didn’t want to get with Quentin and started devising an exit plan. Fortunately for her, she didn’t need one because, as her email dictates, he asked, “Can I suck on your toes while I j—k off?” You read correctly. Which is what he did — twice.

Enjoy her entire email over at Gawker, because face it, you totally want to.

Quentin Tarantino Sues True Blood Creator Alan Ball For Having Noisy Birds

This is one of the more interesting lawsuits we’ve come across recently: Quentin Tarantino is suing his neighbor, True Blood creator Alan Ball, for having noisy pet birds. Tarantino lives next door to Ball and his partner Peter Macdissi and says that the outdoor aviary full of incredibly loud macaws that the couple installed on their property is basically ruining his life. The lawsuit explains:

“On a daily basis Defendant’s Macaws, large tropical birds known for their loud squawks and screams, are placed in an outdoor aviary where they emit blood-curdling screams at random intervals for 7 to 8 hours each day, Nearly every day, Mr. Tarantino and other in his home are subjected to the Macaws obnoxious pterodactyl-like screams, which are not only starling, but have also seriously disrupted Mr. Tarantino’s ability to work as a writer in his home.”

Hashtag this story #RichPeopleProblems or maybe #KillBallVolume2? Ball had better watch out though, if there’s one thing Tarantino is a master at, it’s coming up with creative ways of avenging those who have been wronged, and these birds might provide some inspiration.

Adam Levine, Keri Hilson Break It Down For Quentin Tarantino

If you’ve ever been struck with paralyzing unease while listening to an easy listening station, you probably have a Quentin Tarantino film to thank for that. Tonight Tarantino received the Music + Film Award at the Critics’ Choice Movie Awards, a new award that fits perfectly with the director’s creepy, fun, always ingenious melding of film and song. Prior to Quentin receiving the award, Maroon 5′s Adam Levine serenaded the crowd with The Stealers Wheel’s “Stuck In The Middle With You,” forever linked in our mind with Reservoir Dogs, and Keri Hilson brought it home with Dusty Springfield’s “Son Of A Preacher Man,” featured in Tarantino’s Pulp Fiction.

Reservoir Dogs’ Tim Roth presented his former boss with the award and his skill with a soundtrack. “It’s the rhythm of the film, and tonight we celebrate Quentin for using his rhythm method so damn effectively,” Roth cracked. “Big laugh.” Tarantino was excited to say the least, reminiscing about how the producers of True Romance, a film he wrote, slashed the music budget because they considered it unnecessary. “I remember thinking to myself, I’m making a record album…I want to do it!” Quentin exclaimed. Tarantino thanked Critics’ Choice and proudly took his award home, probably to permanently warp another AM Gold hit.

Quentin Tarantino Will Receive Special Recognition For His Use Of Music In Film At The Critics’ Choice Movie Awards

57495105

Whether it was John Travolta and Uma Thurman doing the Twist to “You Never Can Tell” in Pulp Fiction, the way that the use of “Across 110th Street” in the opening credits of Jackie Brown sets an elegiac tone for the rest of the film, or Michael Madsen’s infamous ear-slicing scene scored by “Stuck In The Middle With You,” there are few auteurs who make better use of music in their films than Quentin Tarantino. It is this particular expertise that the Broadcast Film Critics Association will honor with a special award at this weekend’s Critics’ Choice Movie Awards, airing live on VH1 at 9pm ET on Friday, January 14. For more information, please take a gander at the following press release that *just* hit the wires.

Foot Fetishes And Questionable Fashion Choices: The Tarantino Roast Story

tarantino_main_1

Quentin Tarantino may have been the target at last night’s Friar’s Club Roast in New York City, but some of the guests made it pretty hard not to become a target too. Neve Campbell inexplicably came dressed as Carmen Santiago, while Sarah Silverman‘s schizophrenic power-suit blazer and furry skirt just left us scratching our heads. But the worst was in store for long standing Tarantino leading lady, Uma Thurman. Not only did she show up seemingly dressed as a colonial school teacher, but she and Quentin chugged wine out of her high heel shoes. Seriously, what is it with this guy and feet! Check out the other stars who attended in the gallery below.

5 Reasons We’ll Miss Lil’ Wayne While He’s In Prison

59480459

Lil’ Wayne will be heading to prison tomorrow to serve a one-year sentence for felony gun possession, and even though we think no crime should go unpunished, we’re sad for the void he’ll leave in our lives for twelve months. Wayne has been busy recording The Carter IV and only just released his rock album Rebirth last week, so there won’t likely be a shortage of his music in 2010, but what of the antics we’ve grown to love? We’ve come up with a few ghosts of Lil’ Wayne’s past that we plan to revisit whenever we need of healthy dose of Dwayne Carter Jr.

(Some) Stars Skip Super Bowl For Yet Another Award Ceremony

Michael Stuhlberg, Saoirse Ronan, Emily Blunt and Carey Mulligan

While there were tons of celebrities at the Super Bowl this weekend, it’s still trophy season in Hollywood and a handful of stars stayed back Sunday for the 2010 Virtuoso Awards, part of the Santa Barbara International Film Festival. Among the select few who signed the giant vodka bottle were The Young Victoria‘s Emily Blunt, An Education‘s Carey Mulligan and Saoirse Ronan of The Lovely Bones (awkwardly, of these actresses, only Mulligan is in contending for an Oscar next month). Viral videos aside, Quentin Tarantino outed himself as a less than faithful football fan by attending a director’s roundtable alongside The Hangover‘s Todd Phillips, PreciousLee Daniels and those Academy-bound exes Kathryn Bigelow and James Cameron. What, none of these nerds cared about the Saints at all? Get a closer look in the gallery below.

FABlife’s DVD Pick Of The Week

Inglourious Basterds

Warning: Quentin Tarantino‘s WWII movie is more about talking heads than broken Nazi craniums, although there’s some of that, too. The heads are very fine and the talk isn’t just uber-cool; it’s deep, too. Brad Pitt is the Allied scalp-hunter up against a shifty SS nemesis (the Critics’ Choice Movies Awards-nominated Christoph Waltz). Their duel comes to a head at a movie theatre set to host an explosive premiere for Der Fuhrer. Tarantino’s smart take on national and racial identity suggests his brand of pulp is ripening well.

Extras: The two-disc set comes with extended and alternate scenes, a featurette on the Eli Roth-directed film within the film, and a roundtable chat with Tarantino and Pitt.

Quentin Tarantino Will Not Make Old-Man Movies

Quentin Tarantino

Quentin Tarantino is a self-proclaimed movie lover, obsessed to an unhealthy level. He discusses his extensive knowledge of film in an upcoming interview in GQ magazine, but partway through the interview he seems to disrespect the filmmakers who came before him, putting down older directors (without naming any names).

Tarantino, who is 46, insists that he doesn’t plan to make movies after he’s 60 because he’ll lose the rock and roll element of filmmaking, saying, “If you go through their filmographies, directors don’t get better. Especially when they’ve had a serious twenty- or thirty-year career. It’s not like they’re waiting for their last five years to make that out-and-out masterpiece. They get worse. . .I imagine this is partly just what happens to you when you’re in your sixties.”

Ouch. We think Martin Scorsese and everyone who saw The Departed might disagree. [Photo: GettyImages]
