2012 Golden Globe Nominees’ Least Award-Worthy Moments: Mickey Mouse Club To She-Devil

As soon as the 69th annual Golden Globe nominations were announced this morning, industry folks like Variety began noting how many movie stars (as opposed to fancy ahctorrrs, we guess) are nominated: George Clooney, Brad Pitt and Ryan Gosling aren’t exactly slouches in the acting department, but they don’t turn their noses down at a good romantic comedy heist film either. On the other hand, the more we think about it, the more we think maybe they should have turned down a few gigs. Well, no regrets, Meryl and Glenn and Leo. You turned out OK. Just forgive us for laughing with you at some of the skeletons in your closet/IMDb page!

Don’t Worry, Ben Stiller Is Still Trying To Make Zoolander 2 Happen

You’re not alone: the would-be producers of Zoolander 2 also think Zoolander 2 would be awesome. Ben Stiller recently explained the hypothetical plot to Empire Magazine. “Ten years is a thousand years [in male modeling]. They’re both totally out of it and have to start from scratch…And then there are things set up at the end of the first movie that we’re able to build on, like Derek and Matilda have a son, and Mugatu went to jail. There’s a lot there, I’m excited about the idea of doing it. It feels like it’s getting close to going.” Added his partner Stuart Cornfeld, “It’s not just putting on those costumes again, it’s a great story to tell…We’ve got what I consider to be the best comedy script I’ve read in years and years, with jokes that haven’t been told before.”

While we’re definitely excited for a re-teaming of Stiller, Owen Wilson and Will Ferrell set in Europe, it’s a little disconcerting that little has changed between this update and the one Stiller gave in January. Sure, the original film wasn’t a massive hit, but it’s done well enough on DVD that you’d think studio execs would be excited to hop aboard. Then again, Will Ferrell can’t get Anchorman 2 going either…are Frat Pack classics are the only things Hollywood doesn’t want to turn into a franchise?

Rachel McAdams Rolls Out In Red For Midnight In Paris At Cannes

We figured Rachel McAdams was had something big planned when she showed up in France with that huge trunk yesterday! The actress traded Tuesday’s hat and trenchcoat for long blond curls and a sheer red Marchesa gown at the Cannes premiere of Woody Allen‘s Midnight In Paris, which she attended with co-stars Adrien Brody, Owen Wilson, Lea Seydoux and Michael Sheen—who also doubled as her date. Owen Wilson Still Cruising Bars After Fatherhood?

Anyone who thought long-time playboy Owen Wilson would change his ways after settling down with girlfriend Jade Duell and son Robert may be in for disappointment. Us Weekly reports that the actor recently spent some nights at the One Hundred Nights lounge in Vancouver, with Wilson leaving with a limo full of lades after midnight. You don’t think he had a Hall Pass or anything, do you? You know, like the movie he’s in! Hall Pass! It’s about guys who want to cheat on their romantic partners.

While it’s no crime to enjoy a night out when visiting faraway locales (oh, how the nightlife in Vancouver must beckon), but this scoop definitely does fly in the face of his claims of domestic satisfaction—lil’ Robert just turned 2 months old today! Could we be headed back to the days when Owen macked on every waitress he met? Or did he ever really leave them in the first place?

Alyssa Milano’s Baby Bump Steals The Show At Hall Pass Premiere

Alyssa Milano‘s name doesn’t even make the poster on her new movie Hall Pass, but she was the biggest star at the film’s premiere in LA night, thanks to Alyssa announcing her pregnancy only a few days before. It was her first time on the carpet since the revelation, and she was happy to show off her belly with a series of “proud and expectant” poses for the cameras. Not that we mind—much easier to talk about a baby bump than what Jason Sudeikis was wearing.

That Was Quick! Owen Wilson Is A Dad!

Just one week after announcing that his girlfriend Jade Buell was pregnant, Owen Wilson has welcomed a son into the world. The baby, named Robert Ford Wilson, was born in Maui, Hawaii on Friday, January 14. This is certainly great news for the new parents and a source said “Owen has been doing a celebratory hula dance all afternoon!” Adorable, yes, but Matthew McConaughey still has him beat as far as mellow dad birthing antics – McConaughey danced and DJ’d during baby Levi‘s birth. So next time, Owen, bring your scratch table when baby number two is on its way. Congrats to the new parents!

Owen Wilson Is Going To Be A Super Laidback Dad!

Sorry ladies, but it looks like the Butterscotch Stallion has finally been tamed. According to US Magazine, Owen Wilson and girlfriend Jade Buell are having a baby. “Owen Wilson and Jade Duell are happy to be expecting a baby,” Wilson’s rep confirms. Not only is Buell pregnant, but she’s “due any day!” Hmm, if Owen Wilson can keep his baby away from the paps for 9 months, you’d think Lindsay Lohan could do…well, anything, without the paparazzi watching. Really makes you think…

The source says the Wedding Crashers papa-to-be is “very excited and involved with the pregnancy.” Buell is currently in Hawaii where she plans to give birth, for which the pair “want to do everything as natural as possible.” In the meantime Owen “has been been doing research and learning as much as he can. He’s super into it and asks a lot of questions to make sure he knows what’s going on every step of the way.” We’d have thought starring in the Little Fockers would put someone off kids for eternity, but that’s just based on the trailer. Either way, congrats to Wilson and the fam! Hopefully they won’t wait 9 months before they send out the birth announcement either,

Reese Witherspoon Hits First Premiere In Almost Two Years

Reese Witherspoon isn’t red carpet shy, but the actress doesn’t hit movie premieres as often as you might assume. In fact, last night’s premiere How Do You Know was her first appearance at one since Monsters & Aliens in March 2009. Sure, she hasn’t actually made a movie since Monsters & Aliens, but that doesn’t mean she can’t show up at a former co-star’s to be supportive, like Seth Rogen and Tony Danza did last night. Don’t tell us those guys have more time on their hands—Tony’s got papers to grade!

While most of us would agree that it’s a stretch to still describe baseball as being Our National Pastime™, there’s little sense denying that every playoff baseball game played during the month of October is laden with the kind of dramatic tension that makes the hairs on the back of your neck stand at attention. This post, however, is not really about celebrating the magic and mystery of America’s most revered professional sport. Rather, it’s about the celebrities who trot themselves out to the pitcher’s mound before games to throw out the ceremonial first pitch.

First, the facts: Every single Major League Baseball team plays 81 home games during the course of the season. This means that the poor public relations department of each team has to come up with 81 different ways to get the crowd excited before a game. In some of baseball’s larger markets, teams draw upon their access to a range of different celebrities, a list that runs the gamut from Hollywood’s A-List to downtrodden reality television flameouts, to get their fans excited over a long and often monotonous season. So we here at TheFABLife thought you would get a kick out of seeing celebs of all magnitudes — most of whom are not exactly known for their athletic abilities — attempting to throw a baseball sixty feet and six inches. So, if you pardon the expression, who throws like a girl and who throws like someone who could be called up to The Show? Now’s the time to find out. Play ball!
