Nic Cage Bought A $2000 Steak Knife, And 10 More Reasons Why He’s Broke

Last we heard about Nicolas Cage’s finances, he was going broke and banks were auctioning off several of his foreclosed New Orleans mansions. He even resorted to suing his money gurus for fraud and for placing him in “numerous highly speculative and risky real estate investments” that have lead him to the brink of “financial ruin.” But we guess that’s all over now, because Nic just shelled out $2000 for a steak knife! But to be fair, this isn’t just any old piece of cutlery. It’s a custom-made 4-inch Don Dezarn with a bald eagle carved into an ivory handle! The knife is apparently meant as a decorative collectable, but Nic told shop keepers at the Alaska shop that he actually intends to use the piece to cut his meat. Nicolas Cage Chased A Naked Popsicle-Wielding Intruder Out Of His Home

Nicolas Cage brought his own special experience to his role in the upcoming film, Trespass. The Oscar-winner has been a personal victim of a intruder to his Orange County home. ”I have lived through the nightmare, I have been one of those people who has been through a home invasion,” he told a Trespass press panel at the Toronto Film Festival. Although it sounds more like a really bizarre dream than a nightmare. “I was asleep with my wife, my two-year-old at the time was in another room,” he explained. “And I opened my eyes and there was a naked man in my leather jacket eating a Fudgesicle in front of my bed.”

Considering this is the man who did shrooms with his cat, we have a feeling that Nic has woken up to worse. ”It sounds funny, but it was horrifying,” he continued. “He ran into my bathroom, and I said, ‘What are you doing in my house? Get out of my house!’” What else can you say to a naked stranger eating a Fudgesicle in your bathroom? He eventually persuaded the man to leave, and police soon arrived to take the man to a mental health facility. “I didn’t press charges because I realised he wasn’t all there.” Despite the threat to his family, the ever-zen Cage didn’t go all action star on the dude. “The cops said to me, if he had broken into any other house in this neighborhood he’d have been shot…but I’m always going to try and talk you out of violence if I can.” Let it be known that Nicolas Cage is a man of peace, Fudgesicles, and the best stories in Hollywood.

Nic Cage Pees Fire In Ghost Rider: Spirit Of Vengeance Trailer

Guess that answers the question, “How’d it get burned?” Considering that we’ve seen him as a face-swapping crime boss, a weathered car thief and a scraggly-haired witchunter, it shouldn’t be that surprising to see Nic Cage in the Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance trailer as a flame-skulled biker, even if he is letting loose a flamethrowers’ worth of incendiary pee. And frankly, it’s not.

Due out February 17, 2012, the Ghost Rider sequel revisits undead superhero Johnny Blaze, portrayed once again by the man who never saw a paycheck he didn’t like. It’s good to see Cage bringing it in a new movie role, considering that most recent Nicolas Cage news has revolved around both the actor’s arrest for domestic abuse and that of his son Weston Cage. Hey, we loved ever second of Wicker Man; let’s not pretend we won’t all love this too.

Nicolas Cage Lashes Out At Son Weston’s Mother: “Get Some Help”

Weston Cage may have been hospitalized after attacking a trainer reportedly sent by father Nicolas Cage to find him, but as far as dad is in concerned, it’s the 20-year-old’s mother, former girlfriend Christina Fulton, who isn’t well. “I hope Ms. Fulton will come to her senses one day and get some help,” said Nic after learning his ex was seeking conservatorship of Weston. “Weston is a man. I have complete faith he will weather this well.” Weston himself said he wanted “no contact” with his mother, stating. “[I] will never undergo the torment she put me through ever again.” The actress blamed Nic for Weston’s emotional problems when talking the media last week.

Nic’s rebuke not so coincidentally came the same day he settled a lawsuit with Fulton, who sought $13 million from the megastar after he failed to provide the promised title to her and Weston’s home, removing Weston from the property when he turned 18 and evicting her. She also accused the elder Cage of emotional and physical abuse. The details of the settlement have not been disclosed.

Weston Cage Bans Mom From Hospital, Father Nic Searched For Him Before Fight

Christina Fulton may blame Nicolas Cage for their son Weston’s meltdown, but the 20-year-old must not share the sentiment. TMZ says Weston won’t let his mother visit him in the hospital, claiming the pair (who hit red carpets together until about 2008) are estranged and that he’s furious Fulton talked to the media after his arrest.

Speaking of Weston’s arrest, it turns out he may have been upset about more than what his trainer would let him eat when he tried to roundhouse kick the man in LA last week. Kevin Villegas was reportedly sent by the elder Cage to find Weston after he went missing, and that Weston quickly grew violent once discovered. Nic told Kevin to call 911, which sparked the scuffle between the handled and his handler. Weston is reportedly considering pressing charges, though that would probably depend on whether he’s as mad at this father as he is at his mom.

Weston Cage’s Mom Blames Dad Nic Cage For His Emotional Problems

If you thought being Nic Cage‘s son must be hard, Christina Fulton agrees with you. Weston Cage, her son with the famous actor, remains hospitalized after attacking his personal trainer at a restaurant yesterday, and Fulton is lashing out at Nic to the press. “My son is in trouble, he’s in the hospital right now and he’s under some really good care so that makes me very happy,” she said “But I’m pretty pissed off because his father, um, he’s affected by his father and that’s why he’s in that hospital.” Nic was in the ambulance with his son at the scene, with Weston strapped to a gurney after police feared he was still unstable after the incident.

While Fulton hasn’t made any specific allegations yet, it won’t be hard for her to get sympathy, especially after Nic Cage’s arrest in New Orleans this April, following a series of bizarre public breakdowns culminating with Nic daring police to arrest him after he argued with his wife over which house they were staying in. So far the elder Cage has yet to comment on yesterday’s drama.

Nicholas Cage’s Son Taken To Hospital For Mental Evaluation After A Fight

Nicolas Cages‘s son, Weston Cage, just got married less than two months ago. Shouldn’t every thing be stress-free and honeymoon like right now? Apparently not, because TMZ is reporting that an angry Weston was taken to hospital yesterday for a mental evaluation! He completely flew off the handle because his trainer told him not eat a particular item at The Farmer’s Kitchen in Hollywood yesterday. We don’t know how the conversation went or whether there was some sort of nasty history between the two, because Weston got hopping mad and started pushing his personal trainer around. He went ballistic and some more people, including the trainer, tried to hold him down, but no one could stop him from raging.

Consequently, the police were called and warned him of a possible tasing if he didn’t stop. That worked! They then handcuffed him and then strapped him onto a gurney because he was that belligerent. So now, he’s at the hospital getting evaluated is allegedly in a 5150 psychiatric hold. Sources are saying that he had a massive argument with his wife, Nikki, that morning. That’s a possible reason, but they’re still going to test him to see it its more than that. Drugs or alcohol, perhaps? Whatever it is, we hope it’s not serious and can be treated.

Abuse Charges From Nic Cage’s New Orleans Meltdown Dropped

Did they only arrest him because he dared them to? The gossip world was buzzing about potential child abuse charges against Nicolas Cage after he fell holding 5-year-old son Kal-El during a drunken argument with his wife Alice Kim. But despite his taunting of the police and the revelation of earlier public tantrums during his time in the city (“Give me something more rrrreal!”), it doesn’t look like Nic is the new Charlie Sheen quite yet—authorities have dropped all charges.

“The New Orleans District Attorney has confirmed that no charges of any kind will be pursued against him. After their investigation, the DAs refused all charges against Nic and the matter has been closed,” said a rep for the actor. “We are pleased that the process led to the correct result, despite inaccurate media reports, and that Nick has been cleared and all charges have been dropped.” Wait, is this guy saying Nic didn’t shout “You love me!” after putting his fist through the glass in a restaurant door? When you give your son a Kryptonian name, you need to be specific about what instances of insanity we’re not supposed to believe.

Nicolas Cage May Face Child Abuse Charges As A Result Of His Arrest

Well this isn’t great news. People reports that Nicolas Cage may face child abuse charges following his arrest in New Orleans after an alleged fight with his wife. Cage was reportedly arguing with his wife Alice after a night of drinking and while he was holding their son Kal-El, 5, he dropped the boy. Kal-El scraped his knee in the fall and child abuse detectives were called, although they didn’t open an investigation at that time, there’s a possibility that police may pursue it now.

The police report states “When the couple arrived at their residence … she parked the vehicle and Mr. Cage retrieved their son. The arguing continued, and at some point, Mr. Cage fell while holding their son. The fall caused the five (5) year old child to suffer a minor abrasion [on] his left knee.” Before his arrest, Cage was allegedly “belligerent” and “heavily intoxicated” and had been yelling that his wife was trying to kill him.
