We Want To Get Drunk With Mel B

Out of all the former Spice Girls, the one we’d probably most want to have a night out with would be Mel B. Emma seems a bit nicey-nicey, Mel C’s too busy with her new baby, Geri would be all needy and overanalytical and just the thought of ingesting calories in front of Victoria Beckham is enough to bring us out in a rash. Thank goodness then, that Mel has fulfilled our totally spurious assessment as to her personality by indulging in a fantastically un-L.A. night out at a London hotel.

Dressed in what looked like her workout gear, Mel pitched up at the bar of the May Fair hotel with husband Stephen Belafonte and made herself comfortable. Over the next few hours they knocked back the champagne, put on a TMI floorshow for everyone else, Mel jokingly snogged a stranger and eventually had to be helped back to her room in the early hours by hotel staff. Spice Mamas Baby Club Gets Very Intimate Indeed

While British chat show host Paul O’Grady takes a break, a series of celebrity guest presenters are standing in for him, and Melanie B took her turn yesterday evening — and made things a lot easier for herself by interviewing her ex-bandmate Melanie C. The conversation turned quickly to babies — Mel C’s five months gone — and a somewhat disturbing revelation that one obstetrician has delivered all past Spice babies (seven at the last count) and was desperate to make it a full house, so to speak.

“I remember seeing him at [Geri's daughter] Bluebell’s christening, and he said, you know, I’ll be retiring soon so you’d best get a move on because I want the full set. I was like, cheeky! So I’m not with him, I’m with one of his colleagues,” Mel C said.

We don’t blame you. Having your showbiz uterus being coveted can’t be a comforting conversation at the best of times.

Oh, and on the same show, Kim Cattrall confirmed there will definitely be another Sex and the City film. But as it grossed $401 million, that was never really up for debate, was it? [Photo: Getty Images]
