Leighton Meester Sues Mom Over Brother’s Medical Money

We know we joke about horrible celebrity parents a lot, but not even Michael Lohan on his worst day can touch the circumstances around Leighton Meester’s lawsuit against her mother, who she accuses of allegedly spending her brother Lex‘s medical fund. The Gossip Girl star was apparently sending $7,500 a month to be used for her brother, who suffers from health problems, and his medical bills. According to the suit, Constance Meester instead used the money on, wait for it,”plastic surgery on her face and stomach, Botox injections for her face, fillers for her hands and hair extensions.” Ain’t no hair extensions in the world beautiful enough to cover up that ugliness underneath. Well maybe there are, but only Beyonce can afford them and of course she wouldn’t need them.

Earlier this year Leighton Meester’s mother was also accused of making death threats against another mom at her son’s elementary school, which we’re sure is #2 on Lex Meester’s list of “Reasons I Can’t Wait Until I’m 18.” As a source told People, “This whole thing’s been really tough on Leighton. Her only concern has always been taking care of her brother. Leighton’s really close with her brother and her dad – her parents are divorced. Leighton’s a sweet girl – she cares about work, friends and family.” Let’s hope Constance doesn’t make the mistake of underestimating her daughter. We’ve seen The Roommate; we know what she’s capable of.

Leighton Meester Sings Live At The Troubadour

Leighton Meester‘s giving her burgeoning music career another boost. It’s been an avenue she’s been trying to explore for a while now. Remember her Somebody to Love video with Robin Thicke? That was followed up with Your Love’s a Drug but unfortunately, both tracks tanked. But the actress can sing, guys. She isn’t half bad. And to prove that she’s a real “artist”, Leighton sang live at The Troubadour in L.A last night.

Watching her in the audience was her father and her Gossip Girl co-star Michelle Trachtenberg. However the gig went, we have to admit Leighton looked adorable. We love the bangs and the boho (but see-through) white skirt she had on. What do you think of Leighton’s musician avatar? Is this another case of a starlet trying to break into the music industry? Is she only getting gigs because she’s a “celebrity” and has contacts? Or does she have genuine talent and can go places?

While anyone who reads TheFABlife knows we’re just a tad biased, our gurl Kristen Stewart (photos) took – nay, RAN AWAY WITH – the cake for Best Dressed at the 2011 MTV Movie Awards. The sparkle, the high hemline, the color! Her perfectly tousled ‘do! It was a fashion squee to be heard ’round the world.

Other contenders for TFL’s Best Dressed trophy were Leighton Meester, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Emma Stone. We really enjoyed the variety the ladies brought to the red carpet, from Elle Fanning‘s lil’ romper to Hailee Steinfeld‘s chic pantsuit to Selena Gomez‘s nod to the 1960s. Leighton Meester Is Lovely And Lovestruck For Vera Wang

Vera Wang‘s ad for her new fragrance Lovestruck features Leighton Meester in it, looking as lovestruck as they come. We only wish we could have a gorgeous man running across New York to get us a bouquet of the most stunning pink blooms (which promptly get flung aside) while we wait in sweet anticipation on a balcony. Actually, while we’re wishing for things, we’d want that glorious gown too, because she looks flawless in it. Leighton’s signed on for two years and got a $ 3 million deal going with Vera Wang, just for this fragrance alone. Well done, Blair! XOXO, Jealous Girl

Rumors We Love: Leighton Meester And Justin Long’s Dinner Date

We’d like to officially helm the campaign to support Leighton Meester and Justin Long as an official couple! People is reporting that the pair was spotted dining together at La Poubelle on Sunday, where they ate well into the evening and left holding hands. Says a source on the scene, “They were happily willing to talk to fans who approached them.”

We love Leighton — she’s always edgy on the red carpet and is the HBIC of guilty pleasure TV and movies (The Roommate, always and forever). Justin is the dude next door, with easy on the eye good looks and a friendly, approachable demeanor. Plus he knows how to handle dating an A-List lady, what with that Drew Barrymore notch on his bed. While we loved the idea of Leighton and Garrett Hedlund together, it seems as though that was a quick affair. Thus we say, Garrett who?

Leighton Meester’s Mother Accused Of Making Death Threats

They say life imitates art, but what happens when your mom starts imitating the darkest piece of art you’ve ever made? In a scene out of the The Roommate if The Roommate had actually been scary, Leighton Meester’s mother is accused of making death threats. An L.A. judge granted Laurel Wigg a temporary restraining order against Constance Meester after the elder Meester menaced Wigg and her son. According to the filing, Leighton’s mom threatened to “hunt down and kill” the pair on January 21. Wigg claims Constance “is an addict and has made a threat to kill” and “to f–k us up,” in addition to leaving an additional threatening voice mail on the victim’s phone. See, after we saw Leighton playing a creepy stalker, we just wanted our money back. We didn’t take it as life-coaching advice.

Mrs. Meester has run into trouble with the law before, include a drug smuggling conviction that earned her 10 years in federal prison during which Leighton was born in jail. According to the New York Daily News, Meester and Wigg are “friends” and their “children go to the same school,” which would seem to indicate either Leighton’s older brother Douglas or younger brother Lex. We bet Roommate screenwriter Sonny Mallhi is kicking himself now for missing out on these terrifying gems. Well, there’s always always the sequel. Hopefully not for Laurel Wigg, though…

Ice Nearly Wrecks Leighton Meester’s Big NYC Night

No, Leighton Meester wasn’t doing a living statue act for quarters in New York last night. The Gossip Girl star just hit this pose while trying to navigate one of the horrifying patches of ice covering the Big Apple last night (and even more so this morning). Meester and Roommate co-star Minka Kelly were en route to the Apple Store to discuss their new movie, before hitting NYLON’s party in honor of Meester’s upcoming cover. Good thing she made it past the ice—these photos could have been a lot more embarrassing. Even more embarrassing than that blue stole she’s wearing.

Basically, We Can’t Tell Minka Kelly And Leighton Meester Apart

Minka Kelly and Leighton Meester are currently co-starring in the new film The Roommate, which sounds a little like a Single White Female reboot, but in college. In the film, Minka’s character is assigned to live with Leighton in their college dorm and that’s when things turn…dun-dun-DUNNNN…deadly. We’re sure it’s nothing a concerned R.A. can’t step in and handle.

What’s even scarier to us in real life though, is just how much the two look alike without even trying to obsessively, creepily emulate each other using horror-film cliches.
