Saoirse Ronan Is Your Third Snow White In Disney’s The Order Of The Seven

Kristen Stewart and Lily Collins, looks like you’re going to have to share that apple once again, because you’ve got company. Oh wait…no, don’t eat any of it! It’s poison! According to TotalFilm, Saoirse Ronan is currently in negotiations to star in The Order Of The Seven, Disney’s long-awaited Snow White remake; the film joins Snow White and the Huntsman and Mirror, Mirror for a grand total of three adaptations of the classic fairytale. The Host actress will reportedly star in the action flick as Brit Olivia Sinclair; according to The Hollywood Reporter, the film is set in Hong Kong and follows a “a 19th century-set disparate band of international warriors belonging to a centuries-old order who have lost their way. Their meeting with an Englishwoman being chased by an ancient evil is the catalyst for their redemption.” Here’s hoping the birds still help Snow White get dressed in the morning. Dressed to kill…evil entities!

Now, we know Saoirse can deliver on the action; she stalked and sniped with the best of them as a teenage assassin in last year’s Hanna. But will we still want a bad-ass Snow White after we’ve seen an armor-clad Kristen ride that horse in slow motion down a beach this June? Or will Stewart’s warrior princess only fuel our desire for edgy fairytale adaptations? On a related note, is it too late to add Ariel to the Battleship movie? Maybe the sequel?

Twilight Director: Kristen Stewart And Michael Angarano A “Great Couple”

Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke has talked plenty about the sexy vampiric romance between her stars Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, but have you ever wondered how she feels about bringing them together? Apparently the answer is: kind of on the fence. When talking to New York mag about Kristen’s split from previous boyfriend Michael Angarano, Hardwicke admitted, “He’s a wonderful actor. He was in Dogtown, one of my favorites, so I felt pretty bad because I love him and they were such a great couple.” Oh, Catherine. Well, we guess sometimes the truth hurts. For example, when Robsten fans storm your house with torches and jab you all over with pitchforks. All. Over.

Since we’re being candid, what was Catherine’s first impression of the Twilight script, one of five projects Summit Entertainment offered her in 2003 as her possible next movie? “Every one of those scripts sucked,” Catherine reveals. “Oh, Lord, did they suck.” Twilight, however, was still intriguing enough to catch her eye. “I thought the script was horrible, but then I looked it up on the Internet, and I thought, Okay, it’s based on a book and people tend to like it. There’s gotta be something there.’” Oh, oh, now give your secret opinion on Taylor Lautner next! Is his chest just too nice? Kind of, right?

Kristen Stewart Gets All Done Up For Vanity Fair Shoot

Kristen Stewart’s got a big year of publicity ahead for her, what with Snow White and the Huntsman out in June, Breaking Dawn Part 2 in November and On the Road set for sometime in 2012. So we imagine the big photo shoot she did with Mario Testino and Karl Lagerfeld in Paris for Vanity Fair is just the beginning of her many amazing shoots in the coming months. E! has the pics of her all dolled up and 19th-centuryish in a huge Christian Dior couture gown with a huge fascinator as she posed with horses in the park. After the jump, we present you with a closeup of her makeup for the shoot, and a shot of her in another outfit as she chats with Lagerfeld in a cafe (can you get any more Parisian than that?).

Breaking Dawn Part 1 On Track To Be Highest-Grossing Twilight Pic

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 was beloved by fans for a lot of reasons: the wedding, the honeymoon, the honeymoon, the honeymoon, and a whole lot of drama and blood and guts at the end. But it was still lagging behind its older Twilight siblings in box office numbers. New Moon had a bigger opening weekend ($142.8 million vs. $138.1 million), and both Eclipse and New Moon had bigger overall domestic box office grosses (Eclipse raked in $300.5 million, New Moon $296.6 million, Breaking Dawn Part 1 $280.3 million), according to BoxOfficeMojo.com.

But per Deadline, Summit announced that the global box-office gross for the fourth flick is $701.3 million so far, and once the final tallies are in, including the receipts from China and Japan, it will top New Moon’s $709.8 million worldwide gross. So is that a big vote for Bill Condon from the international audience? Does it reflect the gradual growth of Twilight fandom over the years (we imagine young kids catching onto their older sisters’ enthusiasm, friends giving into other friends’ relentless endorsements, etc.)? Is it the lure of Edward and Bella finally doing it? That extra foreign boost usually goes to big, explosive action movies that don’t need a whole lot of translation, and Eclipse was the movie with all the big battle scenes, so we’re curious about this number. Share your theories in the comments and on Twitter! And while you’re at it, let us know what you’re excited to rewatch when Part 1 comes out on DVD and Blu-Ray on February 11.

Kristen Stewart Shares “Radical Spirit” (And Smell) Of Balenciaga

Kristen Stewart and Balenciaga go way back — she wore that red-and-white one-shoulder number on the left at the world premiere of Twilight back in 2008, and the black-and-brown one is from the New Moon premiere in Madrid. “Even when I first began to consider fashion and admittedly rarely knew the brand I was wearing, I always recognized and loved Balenciaga,” she told WWD today, when it was announced that she’d be the face of the fashion house’s new fragrance for women. And the way she described Balenciaga sounds a lot like the way we feel about her: “The brand is just cool. That’s the way it is. I feel drawn to it. It provokes on a number of levels. It isn’t afraid or contrived. It hits a very cool balance, always. Always pretty undeniable.”

What we find kind of amusing about Balenciaga’s side of the deal is how they seem to be distancing themselves from anything Twilight: “From her early appearance in Panic Room to her independent choice of Welcome to the Rileys, I’ve always sensed her progressive character,” Balenciaga creative director Nicolas Ghesquière told the trade paper. “In 2006, I invited her to appear in a project shot by Bruce Weber. Since then, I’ve always wished to collaborate with her further, knowing that she shares the radical spirit of Balenciaga.”

Charlize Theron: Kristen Stewart And I Had “Amazing Chemistry”

Allow me to get cheesy here for a moment. Charlize Theron has an energy about her, guys. I interviewed her tonight at the Critics’ Choice Movie Awards — my second time chatting with Charlize – and on both occasions it has felt like I am talking to a zen master. She’s just got this vibe — peaceful yet fierce, vibrant yet calm. And man, you can just tell she’s going to kick so much ass as the Evil Queen in Snow White and The Huntsman.

The film features two strong female leads, with Charlize battling Kristen Stewart’s Snow White. The Oscar winner told me the two clicked instantly. “We had amazing chemistry, right off the bat,” she said. “We just really hit it off.”

“We had a great time doing it,” Charlize said of the film. “I hope people enjoy it as much as we did.” Not to worry — we’re pretty sure we’re going to love it.

Tia And Tamera Love Robert Pattinson And Kristen Stewart’s Cute Couple Style

You know who we had a blast talking to on the People’s Choice Awards red carpet? Tia (on the right) and Tamera Mowrey, stars of your favorite childhood show Sister, Sister, that’s who. They were fun and adorable and finished each other’s sentences like proper twins. And they have their own reality show on the Style Network, called Tia &Tamera, of course, so you too can OD on their cuteness. Tamera confessed she was excited to see Robert Pattinson because she’s a huge Twilight nerd (welcome to the club, girl), and that led us down the road of gushing over Rob and Kristen Stewart‘s cute couple steeze. And gush we did!

“They’re both really edgy and romantic at the same time,” Tia explained of Robsten’s appeal. “They’re romantic, but it’s not that corny, whimsical kind of romance.”

Emma Watson, Rupert Grint, Robsten Top Another List, Because Why Not?

The folks at Forbes certainly know what they’re doing. Usually, we turn to them for the big lists, like the Celebrity 100, the World’s Most Powerful Women or the Hip-Hop Cash Kings. But those take a lot of work, and sometimes, they just need something fast and easy (we’re just assuming here, ’cause you know, we’d never be so gratuitous about our lists). So, they do things like this week’s Hollywood’s Top-Earning On-Screen Couples, which is topped by Emma Watson and Rupert Grint, followed by Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson.

We’re very happy to see the Harry Potter and Twilight stars at the top of the list, natch. But it does feel a bit like the editors sat down and said, “What kind of list can we do that will feature the stars of Harry Potter and Twilight, and maybe also Pirates of the Caribbean and Transformers?” They admit themselves that the whole thing is based on numbers from Box Office Mojo (the total earnings from movies with the stars as a couple from the last five years).

Still, here we are, looking at the list. So they’ve hooked us again! We’ll give you the full list below, but also we want to come up with some kind of challenge for the Forbes editors, just to make sure they stay on top of their game. Maybe the next feature should be something like America’s Highest-Grossing Puppet Shows or Top-Earning Subway Mariachi Groups. That‘ll take a little shoe leather.

Eric Northman, Bella Swan, Count Chocula Top Celebs’ 2011 Vampire Picks

Since we listed our 25 favorite vampires of 2011 last week and asked you to vote for your own, the polls have been HOT. Edward and Damon are neck and neck, but Bones is coming up from behind, as book fans seem to have caught onto the race. It’s exciting to watch on our end (Vampire Academy fans from Russia are a force to be reckoned with!), so we decided to leave polls open until 11 p.m. on New Year’s Eve. In the meantime, let’s look back at who this unusual collection of celebrities would name Vampire of the Year for 2011.

“Anyone from True Blood. They’re all brilliant and fabulous,” Heather Matarazzo told us. And her sentiments were echoed by True Blood werewolf Joe Manganiello: “It would probably be a tie between Stephen Moyer and Alex Skarsgard. I really can’t pick one or the other.”

Alexander Skarsgard’s dad obviously is a big Eric Northman fan as well. “It’s my vampire genes!” Stellan Skarsgard told us.

Bella Swan!” Elizabeth Reaser said, choosing her on-screen daughter-in-law over her own adoptive “children.”

David Cook
went old school, ignoring the “of 2011″ part of the title and choosing Brad Pitt’s Louis de Ponte du Lac from Interview With a Vampire.

Then there were the even less-obvious choices. Questlove nominated Count Chocula. “Hands down, he’s been vampire of the year for me for the last couple of decades.”
