20 Adorable Couples Being Adorable To Get You In The Valentine’s Mood

Happy Valentine’s Day! Or not, depending on how you feel about the holiday. And listen, we know there are a lot of singletons out there who are not so pleased about how much we in the media focus on this holiday. But we can’t help it, OK? We cover divorces and breakdowns and deaths and fights all the time, and it’s really nice to have a day that’s all about the important things in life. (No, not the unveiling of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, though that’s nice too.) We just really want to escape from it all and look at Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez nuzzling each other. We would like to soak in the happiness that is Adam Lambert and Sauli Koskinen’s love, bask in Jay-Z and Beyonce’s adorable glory, shiver with delight at the perpetual hotness of Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, and marvel at the lasting power of Will and Jada Pinkett Smith. We are hoping some of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s world-saving affection will rub off on us. And we’re even going to allow for some admiration of Tom Brady and Gisele Bunchen, football loyalties aside.

But here’s some good news for you black-hearted V-day haters: The last time we did a best couples gallery, back in December, one of those couples announced their divorce a few days later. Oh, no! What have we done?!?

Penelope Cruz Is PETA’s Latest, Most Tasteful Nude Celeb Spokesperson

Penelope Cruz is just the latest (and, some might argue, greatest) celebrity to strip off her couture in support of PETA‘s anti-fur cause. Cruz’s new PETA ad only offers a glimpse of bare shoulder (unlike, say, Pamela Anderson‘s cuts of meat bikini pose), but hopefully that small sliver of skin will give a big boost to the organization’s efforts once it debuts on a billboard near Penn Station in NYC today. “Penelope has appeared on every ‘best-dressed’ list in the world, and the one thing you’ll never see her wearing is fur,” PETA’s Senior VP Lisa Lange explained to US Weekly.

Check out some similarly topless PETA ads from the likes of Eva Mendes, Nia Long and Khloe Kardashian, as well as some fur-clad celeb offenders like Kim Kardashian, whom PETA has accused of being less than friendly toward all the little birdies and the little monkeys.

Kardashian Sisters Go Topless To Sell Their Denim Brand

Quite the marketing plan, Kardashian sisters. As you can probably tell from the headline, this is a tad bit NSFW. Not that they’re topless topless, mind you. Kim posted this photograph from their Kardashian Kollection Denim shoot to her Celebuzz page, writing, “Kourt, Khloe and I decided to go natural for our Kardashian Kollection denim shoot with Nick Saglimbeni and pose in only our favorite jeans! What do you think of the pic? I think it’s such a beautiful shot and Khloe and Kourtney both look so stunning! Xo.” And by “natural” she means “au naturel” … well, almost. Does Kourtney do yoga, because contortionist, much? And do you think they’ll sell plenty of jeans by going this route? We have a feeling they just may.

Khloe And Kim Kardashian Slam “O.J. Simpson Is Khloe’s Father” Rumor

Khloe Kardashian might have though those rumors about her paternity were over after everyone noticed they were based on absolutely no verifiable information whatsoever. Not so fast, girl! According to the National Enquirer, none other than Robert Kardashian‘s most famous client O.J. Simpson is allegedly Khloe’s biological dad. “The former football great claimed to pals the he had an affair with his best buddy Robert Kardashian’s then-wife Kris in 1983 and seemed convinced it resulted in her pregnancy with Khloe, divulged the insider,” the magazine alleges according to MediaTakeout. Hmm, but if Khloe wasn’t born until June 1984…plus we’re reading this in the National Enquirer…yeah, something is just not adding up here.

On Twitter Khloe seems more than a little exasperated at the gossip, tweeting, “And do they rumors ever stop? What is the recent obsession with all of this? What are they going to say next? #SoapOpera.” Meanwhile Kim Kardashian joked around about Khloe’s secret dad, posting the National Enquirer‘s front page with the comment, “Now we have all the answers! It makes sense now! Khloe u are so tan!” Hey, Khloe and O.J. do both have their lips pressed together on the magazine’s cover, so the gossip is either totally true or the Kardashians just had one slightly taller than average great-grandmother. Either way, how scandalous!

Khloe Kardashian’s Parents Shut Down Those Paternity Rumors

If those rumors about Khloe Kardashian’s paternity had you waking up every 20 minutes drenched in a cold sweat last night, don’t worry. It looks like that gossip is good and quashed by the only two people know for sure the identity of Khloe’s biological parents: Khloe’s biological parents. “I have never heard such crap in my life…get a life,” Kris Jenner raged on Good Morning America today when asked about allegations that Khloe was the product of an affair made by Robert Kardashian‘s second wife Jan Ashley and his widow Ellen. As Kris pointed out, “I mean I was there. I gave birth. I know who the dad was.” Yeah, reeeeeeally hard to argue with the whole “I conceived and gave birth to her” thing, Jan and Ellen.

If that isn’t enough of a confirmation that Khloe is a full sister to Kim Kardashian, despite her height and the fact we can actually stand her, RumorFix dug up documents from Robert’ Kardashian’s annulment from Ashley in 1999. “Approximately two months after our marriage, I changed my mind,” Kardashian wrote about his decision not to have children with Ashley. “I decided since I already had four biological children, I did not wish to have any more.” As far as we’re concerned, that’s game, set, match, ladies. It would take a DNA test and some very invasive home VHS to convince us otherwise. Not that we wouldn’t thoroughly examine both of them, of course.

Is Khloe Not Really A Kardashian?

The on-going soap opera we call the Kardashian’s barrels on today with a twist that would do Maury Povich proud. Both an ex-wife and a widow of the late attorney/Kardashian Klan patriarch Robert Kardashian are making claims that Khloe isn’t actually a Kardashian. Technically, at least. Kris Jenner has already admitted to infidelity during her marriage to Robert, and this report alleges that Khloe is actually the result of one of her affairs.

“Khloe is not his kid. He told me that after we got married,” Jan Ashley, Robert’s second wife, told Star Magazine. “He said, ‘Well, you know that Khloe’s not really a Kardashian, don’t you?’ And I said…’OK,’ and that was it.” Robert’s widow Ellen Kardashian supports the explosive accusations. “Robert did question the fact that Khloe was his,” she said. “Any normal man would if they knew their wife had cheated on him. She looked nothing like the rest. She was tall, had a different shape, light hair, curly hair. [She] didn’t look anything like the other three children.” According to Ellen, Robert even admitted that he and Kris weren’t even sleeping together at the time Khloe was conceived.

The Kardashians’ Holiday Card Keeps Things Festively Spooky

Nothing says “Deck The Halls” better than men’s wear, skin-tight sequins and gothic mood lighting. Not according to the Kardashians 2011 holiday card, anyway. Continuing their grand tradition of yuletide divadom, Kim Kardashian unveiled the card today, tweeting, “This year’s family Christmas card is finally here!” This year’s photo might take the cake when it comes to least jolly Season’s Greetings. Where did they shoot this thing? An haunted Grecian ruin? Check out the increasingly moody leanings of the Kardashian family Christmas cards dating back to a startlingly normal photo from 2008. You have to hand it to them, though: no one is going to be sending out anything nearly this eerie for the holidays. Well, maybe the Munsters. They wish.

Pippa Middleton, Kardashians And Katy Make Barbara Walters’ Most Fascinating List

Ooooh, we can’t wait for these interviews! Barbara Walters announced nine of her 10 Most Fascinating People of 2011 today, and while we’ve certainly heard a lot from all of them, you just know there will be new, emotional dirt revealed when the special airs on December 14 on ABC.

Pippa Middleton, Katy Perry, the Kardashians and Simon Cowell seemed like pretty obvious choices. We kind of forgot about all that Donald Trump business earlier in the year, so thanks for reminding us, Babs. To some of us, the most fascinating thing Derek Jeter did this year was break up with Minka Kelly, but there are probably more sporty things he has to talk about. Modern Family’s Eric Stonestreet and Jesse Tyler Ferguson also made the list, for reasons beyond just being adorable. And then the most fascinating person will be revealed during the show. (We’re confused by the numbers here — are the Kardashians all one person but Eric and Jesse are two people? Someone, please explain.)

Pam Anderson To Kim Kardashian: PETA’s Love-Hate Relationship With Celebs

PETA has always had a love-hate relationships with celebrities. Some star studs like Justin Bieber have won the hearts of animal lovers by gracing PETA ads. Some celebs have even stripped down to step up for the cause of animal rights. However, there’s always those celebrities who blaze their own fur trail and send PETA in a hot rage like Kim Kardashian most recently did.

On the good side of the controversial organization are Pamela Anderson and Bob Harper, who recently teamed up with PETA to launch limited-edition U.S. postage stamps featuring famous vegetarians. From Gandhi to Ellen DeGeneres, now your bills and birthday cards can all feature Hollywood’s top 20 herbivores. But without even buying any stamps (snail mail, what’s that?), you can peruse our eye-popping, yet informative list of celebs who made PETA’s It list and hit list, along with the famous offenders who’ve since changed their ways.

Kourtney Kardashian Buys Baby Mason A Pet Snake

Umm…aww? Kourtney Kardashian decided that her young son Mason Disick should have a pet. Sounds perfectly natural, right? But then she had to go “Kardashian” all over everything, and the result: she went out and bought the 21-month old a snake. And this isn’t just a some friendly little garter, either. Apparently Baby’s First Reptile is “big and vicious.” Kourtney made the purchase in the New York City store Fauna yesterday along with little sis Khloe, who was understandably pretty grossed out by the whole ordeal. “Eww! It’s not mine,” she told photographers as they carried the serpent out of the shop. No word yet on what they named the snake (may we suggest “Scott Disick”?), but it now resides comfortably in the Kardashian suite at the Gansevoort Hotel where it passes the hours “snapping at the grass” in it’s tank. File this one under “Things they wouldn’t do if they weren’t followed by a camera crew.” Don’t forget to save the snake skin for Mason’s baby book!
