Serena And Lily, Somewhere Under A Rainbow

Since Gossip Girl shoots in New York, it’s quite possible to bump into (and hopefully, accost), a Nate or a Chuck in some exclusive nook in the Upper East Side. The cast is always around New York, shopping, chilling out together, and in this case, braving snowstorms. Spending so much time together, the cast has to rub off each other, right? At least the actors playing mom and daughter Lily and Serena seem to have.

We found it kinda adorable that (mom) Kelly Rutherford and (daughter) Blake Lively were running around different parts of the city using the same rainbow umbrella. It must be nice to see a beautiful blonde holding a bright cheery umbrella on such a dreary day. Although Blake had someone holding the it for her, but still… it’s cute.

Blake Lively Is Upset About What She’s Filming Right Now

Gossip Girl has been filming back in New York for the past few weeks after a stint shooting in Paris. But just what it is they’re shooting is anybody’s guess. We found these shots of the cast prepping for what looks to be a huge, fancy party scene, but everyone is wearing such loud colors and prints, we have no idea what kind of party it might be. Certainly not a White Party, that’s for sure, but it looks like Blake Lively is none to happy, whatever it is. We thought we’d lend a hand to show’s producers and throw out some hypothetical titles for this pattern-heavy episode.

Kelly Rutherford Gets Restraining Order Against Ex

The drama of Kelly Rutherford’s nasty breakup with her estranged husband Daniel Giersch played out all through her pregnancy with her daughter Helena, and it ain’t going to stop now the baby’s born, y’all. No, she’s now taken out a temporary restraining order against her ex, claiming his behavior and “harassment” of her and her family has caused her boobies to dry up. Sort of.

“From time to time I have some extra milk, but I never know when…I believe that the stress Daniel has created for me is also negatively impacting my ability to produce milk,” she claims in documents filed at the Los Angeles Superior Court.

Despite Giersch filing a counter-claim that Lily Van Der Woodsen is actually messing up his custody arrangements, he’s now been slapped with a temporary order ensuring he stays 100 yards away from Kelly, Helena, and their son Hermes, except for “peaceful visitation”. Yeah, right. After trying to settle their potty-training differences in court, we can’t see this messy split getting any more amicable. XOXO. Not. [Photo: WENN]

Kelly Rutherford’s Ex Wasn’t Told About Birth

If you thought the birth of Gossip Girl star Kelly Rutherford‘s second child with estranged husband Daniel Giersch would stop their drama if only for a day, think again. The German businessman says that he was not invited to attend, or even told he had a daughter!

I was never informed by Kelly about the birth of our daughter, nor was I invited to attend. In fact, I found out about it through Internet reports like everyone else. Although this sickens me, I am of course overjoyed that our baby was born healthy.

Rutherford’s rep denies his claims, asserting that Giersch was contacted immediately after delivery and asked to visit. Yet another matter for the court solve, apparently!

The other half of Kelly Rutherford‘s ugly custody battle has finally entered the world. The Gossip Girl star gave birth to a little girl at 10 P.M. last night. Estranged husband and father Daniel Giersch not present.

Rutherford filed to end her two-year marriage with Giersch last December, while pregnant with their second child. The pair have fought regularly in court over their son Hermes, 2, debating everything from whether the child could visit the Gossip Girl set to whether it’s too stressful a time for him to potty train.

Gossip Girl fans looking for some drama over the summer should keep up with Lily Van Der Woodsen’s divorce trial. Actress Kelly Rutherford recently hired a private investigator to film ex-husband Daniel Giersch‘s backyard to prove that he didn’t cover his swimming pool for three days. Now, by court order, Giersch must keep it covered in case 2-year-old son Hermes, wanders by—despite his lack of access. Glad that’s settled!

The next big legal debate? Whether Hermes should be potty trained. The pregnant Rutherford is due to drop their second child in less than a month, and the pair disagree as to whether the upcoming baby and custody battle are making it too stressful a time for Hermes to stop pooping his pants. A judge will hear the arguments on Friday. Seriously. Because this is a matter for the court. Someone should get these people a reality show.

The good news? Kelly Rutherford gets to keep her kid. The bad? Kelly has to keep her ex-husband. Daniel Gersch failed to convince a Superior Court Judge that NY is a bad place to raise a kid, so he’ll spend at least seven hours a day with Hermes in the Big Apple, with one to three overnight visits a week. Watch out for flying laptops, Dan. Kelly’s still nursing the 2-year-old, and three will definitely be a crowd.

Gossip Geek: Kelly Rutherford Fights For Her Baby

Kelly Rutherford is divorcing her husband with their baby in her belly, and that’s drama. But there’s drama and then there’s Gossip Girl. So naturally, she and papa Daniel Giersch are throwing a custody battle and accusations of physical abuse into the mix. But who threw the laptop at who?

Both parents are suing for the physical custody of 2-year-old Hermes, and the Gossip Girl mom wants his visits supervised, as she’s worried the German businessman will take him out of the country. She also says Giersch told her of some Deutschland drama that could lead to his arrest back home. Sounds like she and Lily share a type.

This real life Bart Bass blames Rutherford’s commute from their LA home to NY for their separation. “I have been extremely concerned about our son living in a hotel and a New York lifestyle…her routine is that she has weekly hair appointments for at least two hours, manicures, pedicures, shopping and the like. She has been able to do all of that because I have been taking care of Hermes, and am happy to continue doing so, as it would be best for him.” Why is he afraid of the “New York lifestyle?” Maybe he watches too much Gossip Girl.

Rutherford says he’s quick to bolt without explanation. Giersch says she’s quick to slap, and even threw a laptop at him. Who will the courts believe, Mommie Dearest or Daddy Destined-To-Be-Deported? And what will become of the fetus? Sounds like this will make for a great finale.

Gossip Geek: Back On The Market With One In The Oven

If you thought Lily goes through husbands fast on Gossip Girl, check out the actress who plays her. Kelly Rutherford has filed for divorce from hubby no. 2, German businessman Daniel Giersch, after two years. When the couple married, she was pregnant with their first child, Hermes Gustaf. Now she’s three months pregnant with their second and leaving him over “irreconcilable differences.” Irony much?

Rutherford’s first marriage, to banker Carlos Tarajano (she has a type—rich), lasted less than six months. By the time InStyle Celebrity Weddings showed their interview, she’d already split. If that’s not dramatic enough for you, Tarajano managed to suffer a cardiac arrest three months before she left. If GG writers run out of ideas, maybe they should turn it into a reality show.
