British Fashion Awards: Kate Moss Vs Victoria Beckham Vs Kate Hudson

The British Fashion Awards took place last night at the Savoy Hotel in London. Victoria Beckham won the Designer Brand of the Year, which she accepted wearing her own design (for a full list of winner click here). Vicky looked fab and slightly goth in a black cowl-necked, floor-length gown with a sharp pleated skirt and daringly low plunging back. She got really emotional accepting the award and even teared up while saying, “I’m so sorry for crying. I’m being so rubbish.”

Kate Moss went the quirky route, wearing a bizarre fishnet body-stocking gown that was so absurd, it actually worked. Kate Hudson also added some Hollywood glamor with a cut-out Stella McCartney gown. All three looked hot, but not in your regular, cookie-cutter way. So, who do you feel was best dressed? Kate Hudson’s Dad Publishing A Tell-All About “Spoiled Brat” Daughter

As should be a surprise to no one who knows anything about wackadoo celebrity parents, Kate Hudson’s father’s tell-all is coming out November 1 and it sounds pretty dreadful. “I love Kate, but … She has done stuff which is just awful,” Kate’s estranged dad Bill Hudson writes in his upcoming memoir 2 Versions: The Other Side of Fame and Family. “She is a spoiled brat in my eyes and at the end of the day, she should meet her little sister. I should meet my grandchild and she should help her grandmother.” Hmm, we can’t imagine why Kate doesn’t want to bring her infant son Bingham to meet someone who calls her names whilst telling the whole world about their family drama. The pieces of the puzzle just don’t seem to fit!

Kate Hudson’s dad also talked to the press earlier this year about how his daughter is apparently just the worst. “Kate doesn’t have to talk to me and she doesn’t have to give her a dime of her millions,” he claimed at the time. “All I want is for her to call and say, ‘Hi grandma’, before it’s too late.” And if there’s a better way to make that phone call happen then to shame his offspring via an embarrassing memoir, we have no concept of what that might be.

Matthew Bellamy And Kate Hudson Tweet First Look At Baby Bingham

Not to be outdone by Jessica Alba’s new daughter or Hilary Duff‘s upcoming boy and/or girl, musician Matthew Bellamy tweeted a photo of wife Kate Hudson and baby boy Bingham, posting the picture with the message “Family life!” Not only is it our first look at the month-old infant, but also highlights the difference between Kate Hudson as a mom (luminous, clear skin, virtually no roots) and the look we imagine we’ll be rocking a month after we push out a tiny human (exhausted, persistent eye twitch, covered in a thin layer of baby vom.)

In addition to showing off his son’s general adorableness to the world, it looks like Papa Bellamy had also hoped the photo would help get paparazzi off the family’s no-doubt-sleep-deprived back. “Wow, these paps are annoying. Thought we’d tweet pic in hope of paps backing off, didn’t work!,” Bellamy tweeted today, even calling out a specific paper. “There should be laws protecting minors… Daily mail – expect to hear from lawyers soon ” Seriously, if celebrities want to send out their own perfectly framed baby photos..who are we to deter them in any way?

Kate Hudson Settles On Impossibly British-Sounding Name For New Son

Given that her first kid’s name is Ryder, we had our fingers crossed that Kate Hudson’s baby name for her new son would be something hard-core like Harlon or Jaxx or Gunnar. Instead, the infant’s new moniker has us picturing polo matches and being shoved into a water fountain at a very posh British boarding school. At least when Ryder isn’t around.

Nearly a week after the couple gave birth in L.A. last Saturday, proud pop Matthew Bellamy officially announced their baby’s name: Bingham Hawn Bellamy. “So happy! Just had a baby boy, Bingham “Bing” Hawn Bellamy. Born 7lb 12oz, on 9th July,” the Muse frontman tweeted today, “Mum and baby are strong and healthy. Mum was a warrior, Bing popped out after 4.5 hours of intense pushing!” Well, it sounds pretty fancy, but least it’s no Apple. Those prep school bullies are going to have a field day with that one.

Kate Hudson Gives Birth To A Baby Boy

It was officially celebrity baby weekend. Victoria Beckham had a baby girl and Kate Hudson also gave birth to a boy! It’s her first child with fiance Matt Bellamy of Muse, and while we don’t have a name yet, “he” arrived late on Saturday night in L.A, also at Cedars-Sinai hospital, just like Victoria! Think they had a pow-wow session after?

Kate already has a seven-year-old son, Ryder, with ex-husband and The Black Crowes frontman Chris Robinson. Matt and her have been dating since last year and she’s been carting around a massive engagement ring for a couple of months now. No formal announcement was made but the ring was a topic of discussion on The Today Show in April. The actress told Matt Lauer, “I haven’t really announced it, I was waiting for someone to notice.” Duly noted, so when’s the big day? Congratulations to the new parents!

Review: Something Borrowed Is The New Terrible Rom-Com We Want To Watch Again

Good news for those of us who watch 27 Dresses, The Devil Wears Prada and Bride Wars over and over again on cable while hungover on the couch sitting in a sea of bagel crumbs: we’ve got a new go-to rom-com to indulge in! Clocking in at just under two hours, Something Borrowed nicely fulfills every cliche we so desire in a wedding movie. It’s a movie ripped from the pages of Rom-Com 101, and while it’s fun to watch, it’s also absolutely, utterly terrible. We loved—and hated—every second of it.

Ginnifer Goodwin (decked out in cinema’s worst wig since Bella’s horrific headpiece in Eclipse) plays Rachel, a good girl who feels bad about herself despite being a beautiful lawyer with a ROOF DECK. We all know people in NYC with roof decks have NOTHING to be sad about, right? She’s inexplicably still BFF with her childhood friend Darcy (Kate Hudson), who seems to have no job other than insulting Rachel and seeing how wide she can open her mouth. Darcy is engaged to Rachel’s law school buddy Dex (Colin Egglesfield), despite there being absolutely zero chemistry between them. Oh – in one scene we hear them having loud sex, so we guess that means they’re meant to be together forevs? Egglesfield looks like a Tom Cruise untouched by the crazy-making ways of Scientology and has the charisma of a robot whose batteries are on their last legs. Thus it’s extra confusing as to why Rachel is still in love with him and not her platonic pal Ethan, played by zing-slinging pro John Krasinski.

Stars Swing By The Something Borrowed Premiere, Kate Hudson Nails It!

We’re saluting Kate Hudson right about now. She looks like she’s about to pop and getting dressed up for movie premieres can’t be the most comfortable thing to do at this stage. But look at her! She looks absolutely stunning in that primrose yellow Versace gown! She wore it to the Hollywood premiere of Something Borrowed held at Grauman’s Chinese theatre yesterday. Isn’t it the perfect choice? We couldn’t hope to look half as good, and we’re not eight months pregnant!

Even though the silhouette is completely different, we don’t know why we were reminded of that other iconic yellow dress she wore on screen in How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days. Looks like yellow is her color! Kate finished up her look with a ring and earrings from her new collaboration with Chrome Hearts called CH + KH. Kate Hudson Flaunts Her Baby Bump Outside Letterman

Kate Hudson‘s engagement ring and baby bump made an appearance on The Late Show yesterday, not long after her glowing appearance on Today, where Kate first showed off the rock from babydaddy Matthew Bellamy of Muse. The Something Borrowed star appeared to be in good spirits, wearing a flowing white dress and coat into the studio, and slipping out in the short black one she’d worn for David Letterman. The host candidly noted during the interview that she was having a child with “another musician” (son Ryder was from her marriage to Black Crowe Chris Robinson), though it was hard to tell if he was giving a grandfatherly tongue cluck or just amused. Kate Hudson Engaged, Shows Off Ring On Today

Looks like Kate Hudson was fibbing when she told Hello! Magazine that marriage “wasn’t in her future right now,” because the actress just flashed an impressive ring on Today, confirming to Matt Lauer that she and boyfriend Matthew Bellamy of the band Muse are engaged (“This is new!”). Hudson has denied wedding plans since announcing she was pregnant with Bellamy’s child in January, and says the proposal finally came around a week ago. “[It was] very sweet and very romantic,” said Hudson.

Despite telling Hello! she’d “shift focus and spend more time at home” after her child’s birth in July (she has a 7-year-old, Ryder, from her marriage to The Black Crowes’ Chris Robinson), Hudson also told Lauer she’d still love to play Linda Lovelace in the other film planned about the former porn star (Inferno, starring Malin Akerman, is still a go). Somehow we don’t think Hello! will be sending Kate a wedding gift.
