Jamie Lynn Spears Praises Teen Mom, Gets Real About Birth Control In Glamour

For a combination child star, sibling of Britney Spears and teen mom, Jamie Lynn Spears is way more functional than she has any right to be. In the new issue of Glamour, Jamie Lynn wants everyone to know she’s done a lot of growing up since she had daughter Maddie at 16. Let’s start with a very mature recounting of how she became accidentally pregnant with boyfriend Casey Aldridge. Oh yes, girl goes there. “I believe in safety and birth control as prevention. But like many young girls…I was really scared to go to the doctor,” the former Zoey 101 star reveals. “And I was on a Nickelodeon show, and it [felt] especially embarrassing to ask someone to put me on birth control.” What’s Jamie keeping over there? Oh, she’s keeping it real? Just wanted to make sure.

Now at the cusp of 21, Jamie Lynn is finally easing back into the spotlight, having made her singing debut this past November in Nashville. Just keep in mind when you’re blasting her album in a few years that Jamie has not had an easy go of things. “When I saw MTV’s Teen Mom was coming out, I remember thinking, Oh my God, I cannot wait to see this show because there’s someone else out there,” she admits. “I mean, I feel for those girls. I’ve been that girl. It does show that motherhood is hard. There were so many times—especially when Maddie would get sick—when I would cry to myself and think, I really don’t know what to do.” We can tell we’re going to like this new Jamie Lynn a lot. Like, Britney-circa-In The Zone levels of like. Just to be clear, that is the album that has “Toxic” on it.

Jamie Lynn Spears Resurrects Her Entertainment Career With Singing Debut

We haven’t heard much from Jamie Lynn Spears after she made big sister Britney an auntie back in 2008. Her show Zoey 101 wrapped right before the birth of baby Madison, and since then she’s been living quietly in Tennessee. But last night Jamie hired a babysitter and took to the stage at a Nashville music venue! The 20-year-old mom made her singing debut at The Rutledge with a set of country-tinged songs that she’d written herself. The crowd was reportedly packed with close friends and family, including her parents and grandfather June, who traveled all the way from the family homestead in Kentwood, Louisiana. “I am so emotional tonight,” her beaming mom Lynne told People. “We are so proud of her,” her father Jamie agreed. The newly minted songstress took to her twitter last night to show appreciation to her supporters “Just wanna thank all my amazing friends and family for coming out tonight!!!” Sadly elder sister Brit is currently on tour in Europe and was unable to attend. But will there be a duet between the two Spears Sisters in the future? We hope!

Britney And The Family Spears’ Day Of Fun!

Now there’s the love right there! That’s Britney Spears, her younger son, Jayden James, sister Jamie Lynn and her daughter Maddie Briann Aldridge , mother Lynne and boyfriend, Jason Trawick all cheering on Brit-Brit’s eldest son, Sean Preston, from the bleachers at his baseball game in Calabasas, California (papa Kevin Federline coaches Seans’ Little League team). Now look us straight in the ~~eyes~~ screen and tell us that isn’t the cutest thing you’ve ever seen. And we know some of you are going to write in and crucify us for cooing over something that’s as normal as families coming out to watch a game. But this is the Spears family (plus boyfriend). There’s nothing normal about their lives. So when they attempt something as cute as this, we’re going to give them props. Okay?

Warning To Noah Cyrus: It’s A Slippery Slope

Heads-up, Cyrus parents!!! 10-year-old Noah Cyrus was spotted hand-in-hand with big sis Miley this weekend in Burbank, CA, dressed similarly in a mismatched ensemble that only admiration could inspire. If the last ten years have taught us anything, it’s that the minute little girls start idolizing their rowdy celebrity sisters, partying and pregnancy are hot on their underaged heels.

Jamie Lynn Spears tagged along with Britney to the 2002 Teen Choice Awards and – bang! – gave birth to a baby girl in June 2008, at the young age of 17. Weathered beyond her 16 years, Ali Lohan has been photographed accompanying notorious party animal Lindsay everywhere from LA to Paris. We’re all for some sibling bonding, but in Hollywood, the little ones inevitably feel the need to bust out of their sister’s shadow.

Parents Warn Miley: Don’t End Up Like Jamie-Lynn!

Miley Cyrus‘ parents Billy Ray and Tish have been warning their 15-year-old daughter to be careful with her 20-year-old boyfriend Justin Gaston and not end up a teenage mother like Jamie-Lynn Spears. Following a recent awkward moment when Billy Ray ran into his teenage daughter making out with her underwear model boyfriend, Dad had a serious talk with Miley. “I told her in no uncertain terms that her career would be over if something were to happen,” Billy Ray allegedly told a friend. “I think I made an impression on her – at least, I hope so.”

Is She Or Isn’t She?

Since shocking the world with her pregnancy announcement last year and doing the impossible by taking headlines away from sister Britney, Jamie-Lynn Spears has been no stranger to gossip about her or her rumored cheating babydaddy.

On Wednesday the National Enquirer reported that teenage Jamie-Lynn was pregnant with baby #2. Her rep then insisted that little Jamie-Lynn does not have a bun in the oven. Today, however, an alleged family member is insisting that she IS preggers. “Jamie-Lynn’s mom is furious about the pregnancy,” the family member said. “And she’s livid the news leaked out, especially during her book tour.”

This loyal family member also claims that the family is issuing a denial because “Lynne doesn’t want to talk about it publicly until they sort this out.” If what this “family member” says is true, little Maddie Briann could be getting a little brother or sister sooner than she thought! Angelina Proves Breast-Feeding Is Sexy In W Magazine

On one hand, it’s the most natural thing a mother can do for her babies. On the other hand, it’s Angelina fricking Jolie and she’s decided to show everybody in the pages of a major magazine. Whoah! There’s no doubt Brad Pitt’s missus looks even more beautiful than ever on the cover of the latest issue of W where she’s pictured breastfeeding one of the Wonder Twins – in a shot taken by Brad, no less.

In an interview further in the magazine, Angie reveals how falling for Brad made her change her mind about having biological children. “I think one of the life changing things that he did, one of many, is that I was absolutely never going to get pregnant. I never felt that it was the right thing to do …. I suppose I just looked at him and loved him and just felt open to [getting pregnant]. I suddenly wanted to. It’s one of those things you can’t explain.”

Sigh. We wish we could say something snarky or snide about this, but we just can’t. They are too damn perfect. Honestly, they had better not break up. Otherwise we will be very upset.

Jamie Lynn Spears Rumored To Be Preggers Again!

Oops, she did it again! Take this with a couple hundred grains of salt, but The National Enquirer is reporting that Jamie-Lynn Spears is supposedly pregnant with her second child. Once again, the lil’ sis tops Britney in her dysfunction! A source on the inside reveals that, “Jamie Lynn is about eight weeks pregnant, and she and her mom Lynne are hysterical. Neither of them knows what to do, but for now they’re trying to keep the news from getting out.”

Remember, Jamie-Lynn just gave birth to daughter Maddie in June of this year. “Jamie Lynn believed she couldn’t get pregnant while she was breast-feeding,” said the blabbermouth insider. “She’d expected to have her period by early September.” Well, it looks like plans might have changed. Apparently those closest to Jamie-Lynn are encouraged her to get an abortion, because, ya know, teenage pregnancy is seriously hard. “They’ve reminded Jamie Lynn how much trouble she had adjusting to motherhood with Maddie,” the source continued, “and pointed out that having a second baby now would only be a recipe for disaster.” [National Enquirer. Lynn Spears : Jamie-Lynn Was “Crucified” For Pregnancy

Lynn Spears is all pissed off that everyone hated on her daughter Jamie-Lynn Spears when she knocked up at 16, and then turned around and heralded Bristol Palin (daughter of Alaskan gov and VP candidate Sarah Palin) for doing the same thing. Mama told Newsweek:

“It’s a totally different reaction. It’s as if [Sarah Palin] became celebrated. I mean, the mother, Palin, was celebrated for this. Every woman in the world has applauded her strength and her convictions and poor little old Jamie Lynn–you saw how she was crucified. Everybody did, firsthand … I just feel like it’s been a very hypocritical situation.”

Well for once, Lynn makes a good point. Both girls were unwed teens, both girls are engaged to their baby daddies. So what’s the difference? One word: BRITNEY. You have that albatross attached to your decent family name, and girl, you are f*cked. If Bristol Palin had some crazy ol’ sister with a buzzcut and breakdown addiction, she’d be bashed too. Just repeat this mantra, Blame Britney, and everything will be just fine!
