LeBron James Is Engaged!

We’re going to start the new year with some happy, love-filled news because we’re sentimental like that. LeBron James is now engaged to longtime girlfriend Savannah Brinson and chose to pop the question in style at a New Year’s Eve party. The bash was hosted by LeBron’s teammate Dwyane Wade and girlfriend Gabrielle Union and was held at the Shelborne hotel in South Beach, Miami. Right after asking him to marry her, LeBron picked up their children — LeBron Jr. and Bryce, who are 7 and 4 respectively — and took them for a twirl around the dance floor. The celebration was a double whammy: It was also a belated birthday party for LeBron, who had turned 27 the day before. Congratulations, you two!

Gabrielle Union Spends The Holidays On The Sand

Gabrielle Union hasn’t forgotten the reason for the season: to look amazing in a two-piece. Oh, and to spend quality time cherishing your dear, dear family and friends. But mostly the two-piece thing. The Think Like a Man star used her vacation time wisely today by frolicking on Miami Beach with the incredibly cute children of boyfriend Dwyane Wade, Zaire and Zion. We, on the other hand, will be spending our holidays having an allergic reaction to wool. Gabrielle had better have at least one awkward conversation with her cousin’s weird boyfriend while pretending to like eggnog, or consider us officially jealous.

If you can’t stand the heat, definitely don’t stand next to Gabrielle Union at the beach! The Bring It On star spend Labor Day in the sands of Miami with her basketball-star beau Dwayne Wade and her two children, Zaire and Zion. The hot mama showed some spirit for her man’s team, wearing bikini bottoms emblazoned with the word “heat”. But the famous Miami Heat hasn’t got a thing on Gabrielle. Gabrielle Union Defends Rihanna’s “Man Down,” Talks About Her Own Assault

A lot of people are up in arms about Rihanna’s “Man Down” video, though we’re guessing most of them haven’t actually lived through such a harrowing ordeal themselves. Actress Gabrielle Union supports Rihanna’s “Man Down” video, however, in large part because it’s, well, pretty true-to-life. Tweeted Union, “Every victim/survivor of rape is unique, including how they THINK they’d like justice 2 be handed out,” giving Rihanna props by saying, “#mandown video did a GREAT job of getting the ENTIRE world TALKING abt RAPE. I hope tht it leads 2 HEALING & PREVENTS RAPE.” Gabrielle later went on to explain that, as in the video, she tried to shoot the rapist who attacked her when she was 19. “Stranger who robbed the store I worked at. He put his gun dwn durin the rape & asked me 2 had it 2 him,” Union tweeted to an inquiring fan, linking to an Oprah sexual assault survivor show she did in 2009. Call us crazy, but we’re probably going to go with the opinion of someone who actually lived the video, rather than everyone else who just watched it.

Stay away from the tanning salon, Shannen! Though you still look ninety times better than Kelly Osbourne with her purple dye job. Better Jersey Shore than Golden Girls.
