Joe Manganiello Proves Acting Chops In The Girl With The Tramp Stamp Tattoo

So, we may have actually considered changing our holiday vacation plans to accommodate the release date of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. We may even be considering getting our own. But just because we’re fans of the Stieg Larsson series, the Swedish movie adaptation and most probably the upcoming David Fincher version, doesn’t mean we aren’t also super excited to see the trailer hilariously spoofed by Funny or Die today. Rooney Mara and Daniel Craig, watch out. Emma Roberts and Joe Manganiello could totally steal your roles for the sequel. That is, if Lisbeth Salander becomes a gum-popping Jersey girl and Mikael Blomkvist suddenly becomes so obsessed with his new detective image that he studies David Caruso’s CSI: Miami glasses-removing technique at home every night. OK, never mind, we want Rooney and Daniel to stay right where they are. But we also want studios to take note of Joe’s acting chops, even with his shirt on. Justin Timberlake, Minka Kelly, Kellan Lutz Heat Up GQ Men Of The Year Party

At last night’s party for the GQ Men of the Year, our friends over at MTV News asked a very important question: Who would win in a fight, GQ’s Men or People’s Sexiest Men?

“I’ll take on the whole entire cast of Parks and Recreation. I’ll leave Justin [Timberlake] to take care of Glee and Jimmy Fallon could karate-chop the rest of those guys,” GQ honoree Jay-Z joked. And Joe Manganiello, who made People’s list of 25 Sexy Chests to Be Thankful For (amen!), had the most brilliant idea: “I think we should do it for charity!”

While we get in line for tickets to that one (please, powers that be, make it happen!), let’s take a look at some of the hottest fashions on display at last night’s festivities, from men (the likes of Kellan Lutz, Armie Hammer and Josh Hutcherson) and women (Minka Kelly, Sarah Silverman, Emma Roberts and more).

Celebs Show Their Stripes At ‘Missoni For Target’ Launch

Do not adjust your computer screen! A host of lovely faces turned out in their crazy colorful best last night at the Missoni For Target launch in New York City. The zig-zaggy styles are the trademark of the eccentric Italian designer Ottavio Missoni, who recently inked a deal to create a budget collection for the superstore. Elizabeth Olsen and Camilla Belle strolled into the celebration wearing stripey gowns, while Emma Roberts took a more casual approach in a bright cardigan. Looks like the only dress code for this shindig was “wild”. Other celebs to get ziggy with it include Selita Ebanks, Camila Alvez, Rachel Zoe and more. Famous Faces Turn Up For Justin Timberlake’s Surprise NYC Gig

He’s back! Well, sorta. Everyone has been on Justin Timberlake’s case to cool it with the movies and get back to being the greatest song and dance man since Michael Jackson (braces self for the flood of comments). And now it looks like JT is heeding our pleas, at least a little bit. Last month he premiered a music video he directed for the hip-hop group Free Sol, and last night he did a surprise show for lucky diners at New York’s Southern Hospitality restaurant. The gig was extremely last minute, with Justin tweeting only a few hours before that anyone in the New York area should head to the uptown eatery he co-ownsand see him perform with Free Sol. The place was reportedly packed with people, and even a few famous faces, including Kim Kardashian, husband Kris Humphries and Emma Roberts. Is he testing the waters for his first return to the concert stage since 2007′s FutureSex/LoveShow? Or maybe he was just trying to drum up customers and publicity for his food joint. Emma Roberts Headed To College

We’re all for lots and lots of higher education (Hi, Sallie Mae!) but some small part of us always raises an eyebrow when a successful actor or actress leaves Hollywood to get their bachelor’s. All we’re saying is, we get a college degree to get a job, not as a way to spend time after Scream 4 and before…well, probably before Scream 5. Our tall glass of haterade aside, Emma Roberts is enrolled at Sarah Lawrence for the fall, where she’ll learn how to write persuasive essays and find out just how many people loved her aunt in Notting Hill.

“I’m leaving for New York tomorrow to attend my very first semester of college,” Robets explained last night after the VMAs. “I’m studying English literature and couldn’t be more excited!” We hope she’s able to stay together with her manfriend Chord Overstreet. Bringing a relationship to college and not breaking up is so hard, even if both of you have your own private jets.

Emma Roberts And Chord Overstreet Reportedly Smooching At Coachella

Scream 4 star Emma Roberts was at the Coachella music festival this weekend and it’s been reported that the music was not the only thing she was into while she was there. Us Magazine reports that Roberts was spotted making out with Chord Overstreet while they both attended the A/X and 944 Magazine carnival on Saturday. A witness said “They couldn’t keep their hands off each other!” They were then seen at Coachella the following day together, where another witness says Roberts was “leaning into him,” but that the Glee actor “seemed way more interested in his food.” Well, the way to his heart is through his stomach.

Scream 4 Review: Welcome Back, Ghostface.

You know the image of a worm eating its own tail? That’s sort of a metaphor for Scream 4. The film is a remake, a sequel and a movie about a movie, all in one. And with so many sly references to its predecessors, it’s hard to figure out where all the winking at the audience ends and the movie begins. That said, Scream 4 reunites all three main cast-members from the original films, Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, and David Arquette, with director Wes Craven and screenwriter Kevin Williamson, and it’s still an enjoyable movie, no matter how meta it gets.

The film takes place in Woodsboro, California, hometown of Sidney Prescott (Campbell), the former high school student terrorized by the original Ghostface killer who murdered all of her friends in 1996. All grown-up Sidney is back in Woodsboro (although her haircut hasn’t changed) on a book tour at the insistence of her pushy publicist, Rebecca, played by Alison Brie, because she’s written a self-help book based on her past. And where better to promote a book about moving on than the town you desperately moved away from?

But you know who’s not psyched to see Sid? Gale Weathers (Cox), who went from reporter of small-town murders to successful novelist of the Stab books based on said small town murders, to housewife (she married Deputy Dewey, played by Arquette, who is now Sheriff Dewey) with writers block. Dewey, however, is thrilled to see Sid, which annoys Gale, but not as much as Deputy Judy (Marley Shelton) annoys Gale. Judy has the hots for Dewey real bad and she’s not very subtle about it. That’s roughly all there is to her character, so consider this your first and last meeting with Judy in this review. Sidney plans to stay with her Aunt Kate (Mary McDonnell) and cousin Jill (Emma Roberts) while in town, but of course, as soon as Sidney arrives, teens start getting gutted by the truckload. Rounding out the impressive supporting cast are an underused Adam Brody and Anthony Anderson as cops, Hayden Panettiere as Jill’s sass-talkin’ BFF Kirby, and Rory Culkin as horror-film buff Charlie. (Not to mention cameos from Shenae Grimes, Anna Paquin and Kristen Bell.) A large percentage of the people listed here get murdered, FYI.

Scream 4 Premiere Full Of Young Ladies, Arquettes And ’90s Vets

David Arquette swears he’s on good terms with estranged wife Courteney Cox, and last night’s Scream 4 premiere was a good place to prove it. The duo hugged and posed with eternal co-star Neve Campbell on the red carpet, which they shared with old Scream friends (Jamie Kennedy, Matthew Lillard) and new (Emma Roberts, Hayden Panettiere, Kristen Bell), not to mention David’s sisters Patricia and Rosanna. Also haunting the scene was Marilyn Manson, who mugged alongside everyone from Eli Roth to Shenae Grimes. Sadly his Scream star ex Rose McGowan wasn’t in attendance, but we can’t blame Marilyn for keeping tabs on this late-90s horror franchise: he’s one, too!

Emma Roberts Wears Short Shorts Again To Go Undie Shopping

Relax, folks, she’s 20. While it’s still a little weird to imagine paparazzi trailing young actresses to boutique shops while they purchase underwear, you can’t blame photographers for keeping an eye out for Emma Roberts after she wore short shorts and knee-highs on the street in Hollywood last weekend. And son of a gun if it didn’t pay off fast, because here she is again in short shorts Monday, perusing the delicates at Beverly Hills’ Planet Blue! Don’t think of it as awkward: she’s promoting the upcoming release of Scream 4 and doing errands at the same time!
