There’s been a whole lot of neutral and black going on this awards season, and that rather works to the advantage of the stars who chose the path less traveled and wore bold colors to the SAG Awards. They stand out all the more with their blues, pinks, greens and reds. From Emily Blunt’s bright green Oscar de la Renta to Jessica Chastain’s delicious blue Calvin Klein collection, the rainbow of gowns was all the more brilliant by the sun shining during the arrivals. Emily Blunt Says YSL Made “A Terrible Mistake” Hiring Her

We normally hate it when gorgeous actresses joke about being less than stunningly beautiful, but we like Emily Blunt so much, we’d settle for shaking her incredibly toned shoulders while screaming, “Snap out of it!” “God, I’m so un-French in that trailer,” Blunt moaned to Britain’s The Telegraph about her YSL Opium ad, saying “I don’t know. I’ve no idea” why the fashion house hired her and declaring, “They made a mistake, a terrible mistake.” What what wha? We know your last role was in The Muppet Movie, but pull yourself together, woman!

As for the commercial itself, let’s be honest: Emily’s cleavage alone makes the entire country of France seem obsolete. They probably didn’t even use a trained cheetah; it just saw Blunt’s amazing hair and was stunned into domestication! Will Emily Blunt And Jason Segel Get Hitched In The Five Year Engagement?

Would you watch a movie about a couple who have to keep pushing back their wedding, due to unforeseen circumstances? Normally, we’d answer, no. But when that couple happens to be Emily Blunt and Jason Segel, and it’s directed by Nicholas Stoller and produced by Judd Apatow, and it also co-stars Mindy Kaling, Alison Brie and Chris Pratt, we’ll probably get off the couch and get in line for tickets. The official trailer for The Five Year Engagement has been released. And, OK, we’re sold. But they’ll get married in the end, right? RIGHT? We’re not sure if we can handle all that waiting with no payoff.

That sex doll looks furious that someone is stealing his thunder, and no, we are not talking about Jason Segal (for once). While most of us settle for Jell-O shots and a tasteful penis tiara, what a better way to get ready for your wedding than having your fantasy husbands Jason Segal and John Krasinski karaoke serenade your bachelorette party? The Office star and The Muppets actor rocked out to Van Morrison‘s “Brown-Eyed Girl” with the unsuspecting “Alissa” in an Ann Arbor bar this past weekend, which seems like the ideal way to commemorate your singledom before locking it down with your normal, non-famous husband the next day.

Segal, Emily Blunt and Community‘s Alison Brie are currently in Michigan shooting The Five Year Engagement. Later in the night Segal and Krasinski crooned “With A Little Help From My Friends,” while Blunt and Brie brought down the house with “Total Eclipse of the Heart.” Sure, maybe having John’s wife there sort of ruined the illusion a little bit, but there is always sweet, sweet Segal. Barring that, there’s always that grimacing, goateed blow-up doll.

Emily Blunt Explains How Acting Erased Her Terrible Stutter

It’s hard to imagine her with anything but the eloquent, biting wit she showed off in The Devil Wears Prada, but as a child Emily Blunt’s stuttering problem was nearly debilitating; it took the encouragement of a drama teacher for The Adjustment Bureau actress to overcome her disability. “He said, ‘Well, why don’t you try it in a different voice? Try to do a funny voice or an accent. Maybe that would help.’ But it really did, I was actually able to speak fluently,” Blunt, who is now on the board of the American Institute for Stuttering, says. “Once you’re able to hear yourself speak fluently, albeit in a ridiculous accent, you gain the confidence to think this could happen again and again. It was easier after that night, of that school play. It all became a bit easier.” And that’s why she’s pretended to have that English accent ever since. Oh, no wait, that’s real. Supposedly.

Blunt also loved The King’s Speech and her soon-to-be costar Colin Firth for his accurate depiction of the illness, saying “He really managed to capture that hesitancy, that vocal-cords-locking-out syndrome that happens. What’s exciting about what Colin did was he actually put a face to stuttering, actually opened up people’s minds around the world to the plight of someone who has one.” Blunt will also be starring in The Muppets movie, where we can only assume she will be excellent as the Swedish chef.

John Krasinski Gushes About Wife Emily Blunt To Ellen

That John Krasinski isn’t just a devoted sweetheart on TV. Ellen DeGeneres struck cutie gold when she asked the Office star about his recent marriage to Emily Blunt. “When you [propose] successfully you feel really good about yourself,” he gushed. “I was like…I’m going to propose to her real fast before she wakes up and was like, ‘What am I doing? I can have anybody!’”

Not willing to stop with such self-deprecation, John made the audience melt even more by describing his first impression of Emily. “It was one of those things where I wasn’t really looking for a relationship and I was thinking I’m going to take my time in L.A. and everything. Then I met her, and I was so nervous. I was like, ‘Oh God, I think I’m going to fall in love with her.’ As I shook her hand I went [dons awkward voice], ‘I like you.’” And that’s how you promote your new romantic comedy (Something Borrowed, out this Friday, FYI).

Emily Blunt hasn’t had the best luck at the box office—none of her movies have cracked $100m since her 2006 breakout in The Devil Wears Prada, and we’re not sure whether The Adjustment Bureau a.k.a. The Mad Men Matrix will do the trick (though audiences love Matt Damon, and may be hungry for another surreal film about a suited stud after Inception). No matter how the film does, she’s bound to have another big hit sooner or later—Hollywood isn’t going to let such a seductive British beauty sit on the sidelines.

Blunt’s shown an interest in everything from the silly (Gulliver’s Travels) to the scary (The Wolfman), and it’s easy to imagine her improving just about any type of movie. In 2012 she’ll do some Salmon Fishing In The Yemen with Ewan McGregor and try to make sense of time travel in Looper with Bruce Willis and Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Now if we could just get her to do more red carpet appearances with husband John Krasinski—they’re so cute together!

Emily Blunt’s Bureau Dress: Is She Pretty In Pink?

We feel the same way about The Adjustment Bureau as we do about Emily Blunt‘s dress at the premiere: we love everyone involved, but we’re not sure about the general idea. The reality-bending premise of Matt Damon‘s new film sure sounds like The Matrix with fewer fist fights and more fedoras, and the gorgeous, elegant Blunt doesn’t seem like the kind of person who should be all frilled up in cutesy pink. Emily Blunt Goes Blonde, But Do We Like It?

Emily Blunt‘s noticeably blonder hair just made us do a double take. Expect the normally completely brunette actress to go even lighter because this gradual bleaching is all for a role in her upcoming thriller, Looper. Of the transformation, Blunt told Us, at the red carpet of her new film Gnomeo & Juliet in Hollywood, “I’m kind of effectively bipolar”.

We’re massive Blunt fans, and think she can pull off anything. But we’re so used to seeing her with sexier darker ‘do that this sun kissed style will take a bit of getting used to. What do you think? Should she stay dark or keep heading towards the light?

Jimmy Kimmel never brought up Sarah Silverman‘s “I’m F—ing Matt Damon” video when he and a four-eyed Emily Blunt presented Damon with the Joel Siegel Award at the Critics’ Choice Movie Awards, but it was clearly on his mind. Mocking Damon’s charitable work, cracking “have another Evian, Mr. Water.Org” and generally being a boor, Kimmel had the room laughing in disbelief. And when Damon said he had no idea why Jimmy was there in his acceptance speech, Jimmy charged out of the room furiously. Too bad Silverman was backstage (having already been cursed out by co-presenter Joan Rivers on-air), and didn’t get to watch from the audience.
