A London-based mom is rocking tight flares, wild curls, stiletto heels and a bra-flashing, open-collared shirt as she drops off her young son at school in his little uniform—in 2011. The Charlie’s Angels-channeling woman is 48 years old. The son’s name is Aurelius Cy Andrea Busson. Sure, knowing the mom in question is nicknamed “The Body” and hosts Britain’s Next Top Model helps a little, but the above info still makes our heads hurt. Aurelius’ mom has got it going on.

Believe it or not, those amazing Elle Macpherson model genes haven’t just passed on to her two cute sons. No, the supermodel effect stretches far and wide, even to her pet dog. A news release has announced that Elle’s labradoodle Bella Macpherson (ahem) has landed a top “five figure” gig as the face of designer dog accessory brand Dogside.

“We’re delighted to have Bella on board and are certain she will be able to turn the heads of the nation’s eight million dogs,” says a rep. Uma Thurman is set to get married to mega-loaded Arpad Busson this weekend in a “low-key” ceremony, according to reports. (We’re not sure if her idea of low-key is ours — can’t see them with a sandwich buffet and iPod disco.) The couple is one of the most well-connected in Britain and America, although Arpad has said to be hit hard by the economic downturn and his investments with fraudster Bernie Madoff. Their joint wealth is now down to $124m, according to the Sunday Times Rich List. How terrible!

They’ve both got romantic pasts, too: Uma was previously married to British actor Gary Oldman and Gen-X icon Ethan Hawke, who’s now married to their former nanny. Just like castle-shedding Nicolas Cage, supermodel Elle Macpherson is also feeling the pinch in this global economic slump. Yep, Elle is sharing our credit-crunched pain and is only spending her money on essential million-dollar art purchases.

“I’ve been consumer conscious for a while. I’ve traded in my Range Rover for a Lexus and I either bike or take my Fiat Bambino on the school run. My only extravagance is art. It always has a place in my budget. All the artists I love – Lucian Freud, Jean-Michael Basquiat, Tracey Emin, Richard Prince — I’ve invested in,” she says.

Resident MSNBC dork-hottie Dan Abrams is apparently getting a taste of all the good stuff Elle MacPherson has to offer. The odd couple have been spotted getting cozy around NYC since early this summer; most recently they left the exclusive Waverly Inn arm-in-arm.

What’s to like about Abrams? For starters, he’s smart. The guy graduated from Duke University and Columbia Law School, and he’s the Chief Legal Correspondant for NBC News. Plus he’s a testicular cancer survivor, and we all know the ladies go crazy for a weepy survival story. Abrams has already dated actresses like Jaime Murray and Elisabeth Rohm, so he’s no newbie when it comes to hot chicks. Whether he can handle a superstar like Elle ‘The Body’ MacPherson remains to be seen, but surely Dan knows he’s got the reputation of nerds everywhere riding on this relationship.
