It’s A Man’s World At The Captain America: The First Avenger Premiere

What a day for premieres it was yesterday. Crazy, Stupid Love was on as well as — and this is the one we’ve been waiting for — Captain America: The First Avenger debuting on the other coast in Hollywood. We’re totally digging ChrisSquared. Chris Evans killed it in his suit, and Chris Hemsworth looked adorable alongside wide Elsa Pataky. Which is all sweet and very spouse-ly of him but can we please have some solos, bro? And then there’s Robert Downey Jr who can put on all the crazy suits and glasses he wants to, but we’ll still adore him!

The women were repp’d by a stunning Zoe Saldana who seems to have legs for miles. We’re just not feeling Vanessa Hudgens hair (yes, we know it’s for a role), but more of that in our next post. Jamie Alexander looked pretty edible in her red gown too. Also spotted were very dapper looking Dominic Cooper and Sebastian Stan. Samuel L. Jackson was, well — Samuel L. Jackson. Amanda Seyfried Shopping, Partying With Ex Dominic Cooper

Old friends or a new beginning? Amanda Seyfried and Dominic Cooper were spotted shopping together at a Burberry store in LA yesterday, with Seyfried driving her British former beau off after the run. The pair, who met on the set of Mamma Mia!, dated from 2009 until just over a year ago, amidst rumors that Cooper cheated with Lindsay Lohan (he had been in a relationship when he began dating Amanda as well). Cooper attended the premiere of his new film The Devil’s Double later that night, with Seyfried allegedly seen at the afterparty.

More recently, Seyfried and Ryan Phillippe have enjoyed an on-and-off romance on multiple continents, though they’ve reportedly put a halt to that casual romance. Hey, didn’t paparazzi shots of Amanda & Ryan shopping reveal their relationship? Shouldn’t be too long before we learn whether Dom & Amanda were just catching up.

Amanda Seyfried Is Dating Ryan Phillippe, Used To Date Alexander Skarsgard

Amanda Seyfried has finally spilled the beans to Elle magazine. She looks gorgeous in the shoot, which is a fashionable interpretation of her Red Riding Hood avatar. Which basically means they made her pose with a lamb! But more importantly, when asked whether or not she was dating Ryan Phillippe, Amanda replied, “Um, yeah. I’ve been ‘seen’ with him”. Guess that puts rumors that Amanda and Ryan have split up to rest—and this is the April issue of the magazine, so we’re talking about the present!

The juice, fortunately, didn’t stop there. She finally opened up about the messiness of Dominic Cooper breaking up with his longtime girlfriend to be with her, revealing, “I was just kind of foolishly thinking that the two of them were done and Dom and I were involved. But we weren’t really as involved as I thought. So I got my heart broken pretty hard.” For some strange reason, we thought it was the other way around. Being with Dominic also made Amanda miss out on a romantic possibility that we would kill for. Apparently, Amanda had a thing with Alexander Skarsgard! Which came to naught as she explained, “We dated. He’s super funny, but I was too involved with Dom”. Considering the hotness of all three men mentioned, we’re sure she’s doing just fine.

Mary Elizabeth Winstead To Play Mary Todd In Abe Lincoln: Vampire Hunter

Vampire hunting…it’s not just for fairy tale characters! Death Proof‘s Mary Elizabeth Winstead has signed up to play Mary Todd Lincoln in the upcoming Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, where she’ll be teamed with Benjamin Walker (already playing a bad-ass president in Broadway’s Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson) as honest Abe. Dominic Cooper is also lined up for a role in the adaptation of last year’s novel.

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter should not be mistaken for the upcoming Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters, starring Jeremy Renner and Gemma Arterton, which should not be mistaken for those three Snow White movies in pre-production. Since we love both Walker and Winstead (last seen in Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World), we’re hoping Lincoln doesn’t get lost in the old-school ass-kicking shuffle.

We’ll admit to a little bias after hearing Dominic Cooper & Amanda Seyfried went to a Roky Erickson concert at Maxwell’s in Hoboken last year, but even if we didn’t know they were fans of the cult Texas rocker we’d love these photos of the Mamma Mia! couple traipsing hand in hand around NYC yesterday. Pretty rare to see a young celebrity couple flirting in front of the paparazzi without looking like they’re flirting for the paparazzi. Soak up the spectacle in the gallery below.

Amanda Seyfried Suits Up (With Shorts) For Letters To Juliet

Amanda Seyfried is definitely a star on the rise—we’re not even halfway through 2010 and she’s already starred in three films. Following the Nicholas Sparks weepie Dear John and the Atom Egoyan sex thriller Chloe (which came out internationally in 2009) is Letters To Juliet, one of those whimsical “Americans in Europe” movies about indecisive romantics that give away the entire plot in the trailer, because apparently the audience for these films need to know exactly what the happy ending will be. Anyhow, Seyfried, joined by boyfriend Dominic Cooper, showed up at the Tribeca Film Festival premiere wearing a suit jacket with pleated shorts. Call us boring, but we think she looked lovelier walking the dog. See photos of Amanda and more in the gallery below.

11 Up And Comers To Watch This Awards Season

Critics’ Choice Movie Awards, the Golden Globes, the Oscars…it’s the most wonderful time of the year again (in Hollywood only). Awards season is upon us, and 2009′s critically acclaimed films have introduced us to a new pack of uber-talented actors who are about to go from unknowns to A-Listers. We’ve got the 11 stars to watch as award nominations start rolling in, so that when they’re up onstage blubbering through their 10-minute acceptance speech, you’ll be able to say you knew who they were way back when.

Saoirse Ronan is the 7th youngest actress to be nominated for an Oscar for her work in Atonement. Next up, Peter Jackson’s The Lovely Bones.
Quinton Aaron is a relative newcomer, who scored the lead in The Blind Side opposite Sandra Bullock.
Michael Stuhlbarg – This Julliard-trained, Tony-nominated Broadway star is scoring serious buzz for his work in the Coen Brothers‘ A Serious Man.
Joseph Gordon-Levitt is a former child star turned indie darling, who made the world swoon in 500 Days of Summer. Also, he did back flips on “Saturday Night Live.” Nuf’ said, right?
Jeremy Renner‘s work in The Hurt Locker just snagged the actor his second Independent Spirt Award nomination.
Gabby Sidibe - The Precious star – who was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award – exuded confidence in a recent interview on the “Oprah Winfrey Show.” Said the newcomer and Harlem native, “One day I had to sit down with myself and decide that I loved myself no matter what my body looked like and what other people thought about my body.”

Amanda Seyfried Has A Long Night In London

Amanda Seyfriend had a big day at the London Film Festival yesterday, donning two different beautiful dresses to promote the premiere of Chloe, in which she and Julianne Moore share at least one graphic sex scene. The pressure of this public display may explain why Seyfried looked worse for wear when she and Mamma Mia co-star/boyfriend Dominic Cooper left The Groucho Club. We sure hope she got to sleep in today!

London may see a lot more of Seyfried stumbling down its streets. “I would move to London in a heartbeat,” she said at the premiere. “It’s the scenery, but also being in the big city, the architecture, the history of it and the fact that a lot of people I love most in my life live here…It’s just that nobody really thinks of me when casting British movies.” A few more nights like this and that might change.

Dominic Cooper’s Ex Speaks Out On Mamma Mia! Affair

The fairybook romance of Mamma Mia! stars Dominic Cooper and Amanda Seyfried appears to have a dark side. Cooper’s ex Joanna Carolan has come forward to confirm that he cheated on her with his screen partner…but she’s totally cool about it.

I’ve cried a lot of tears…We still love each other, but we’re not together. I also care about Amanda: she’s young and vulnerable and has been upset by what’s been said.I’m no longer in love and can’t think about taking him back because I can’t be with a man who’d let me go through this. It took Dom until three weeks ago to realise that it’s finally over, but we’re still in touch.

The on-set romance was supposed to be a fling during a brief split in the couple’s 12-year relationship, but Carolan soon realized that things were not over between Seyfried and Cooper.

During this time I even went to the Mamma Mia! premiere with Dominic. Of course Amanda was there and it was desperately awkward. They weren’t supposed to be seeing each other then but in my heart I knew that they were, and those were the hardest days. He was still always flying off to L A where she lives and I know Dom—he’s someone who needs a bosom as a pillow.

Time will tell if Seyfried’s is comfy enough to keep this guy entertained, but we bet she’s calling him every night while he’s at Sundance.
