Sarah Jessica Parker Beats Out Mary Louise Parker For Demi’s Lovelace Role

Demi Moore‘s role of Gloria Steinem in Lovelace has become a hot commodity since the Bobby actress had to drop out this week, but if you’re wondering which celeb will be cast as her replacement, get ready to wade through a few dozen suggestions. Last night Chloe Sevigny was rumored for the role after joining the cast last minute. This morning, the rumors were focused on Weeds‘ star Mary Louise Parker while this evening? None other than Sarah Jessica Parker. All of them are amazing actress; all of them would look amazing in high-waisted bell bottoms. Since those are our only criteria, how could we possibly decide?

Oh wait, we guess the decision has been made for us. EW reports that it was Lovelace filmmakers Rob Eptein and Jeffrey Friedman themselves who confirmed SJP’s hire, which seems like a solid selection. So there is no chance the movie features a time-traveling Gloria Steinem who accidentally meets multiple version herself after slipping through a wormhole? Please? We said please!

Chloe Sevigny Joins Amanda Seyfried In Lovelace After Demi Moore’s Exit

Demi Moore pulled out of her role as Gloria Steinem in the porn biopic Lovelace approximately 24 hours ago. According to People, this was juuuuuust enough time for Chloe Sevigny to join the cast as “a feminist journalist assigned to write a story about Lovelace.” While the site doesn’t confirm specifically that Chloe has stepped into Demi’s comfortable-yet-stylish shoes, the description of Sevigny’s role seems to fit Moore’s ground-breaking character to a tee. A tee with no bra under it, because that bra is going up in flames. Woo hoo! Historical dramas, ya’ll!

While the turn-around in finding Demi’s (alleged) replacement might seem quick, keep in mind that Lovelace has been shooting since the beginning of the year. Just this week Amanda Seyfried and Peter Sarsgaard appeared in all their hot pants and mustache glory on-set in Los Angeles. With any luck they won’t have to reshoot all of Demi’s scenes, since we have to assume they went directly for the sexy parts first. Why? Oh, no real reason. That’s just what we would do, if we were a director. A director with his or her priorities straight.

Parker Posey, Fergie, Others Make Unfortunate Weekend Wardrobe Decisions

We know how it gets at this time of year. You’re invited to a million different events, you don’t always have time to shop for new outfits for them, since you’re really supposed to be shopping for presents for other people. So you’re stuck either recycling party dresses from past events, borrowing friends’ dresses, or running into a store, blindly grabbing the first thing you see and changing in the restroom at work. This is what we imagine happened to Parker Posey, Fergie, Chloe Sevigny, LeAnn Rimes and Kevin McHale over the weekend. We really doubt they looked in the mirror before attending the special screening of W.E. at MoMA in New York and the Trevor Project’s Trevor Live! event in Hollywood. They just have more important things to do. See for yourselves…

Poll: Who Had The Most Unflattering Outfit At The Go International Designer Launch?

We’re used to seeing Chloe Sevigny deck herself out in bizarro fashions on a regular basis, but she really outdid herself at the Go International Designer Collective launch party with her leopard-bow tie-garter ensemble. The things is, she seemed to take all the other normally trendy, stylish women in attendance down with her, which is unfortunate. Liv Tyler, Olivia Munn, and Lake Bell (pictured in our gallery below) all wore some weird variation of high-waisted mini-skirt and none of them really looked amazing, to tell the truth. Take out poll below and, in the grand tradition of American Idol, vote for the worst.

Chloe Sevigny Nearly Blown Away At Big Love Premiere

Chloe Sevigny

Chloe Sevigny‘s crazy fashion sense may have been on full display at last night’s Big Love premiere, but judging from pics like this from the bash, she clearly didn’t suck the air out of the room. “It was a hard blow to take,” she said about the upcoming fifth season being the last . “We always thought we’d last six seasons. I love the character and I love being in the show, and I really wanted to go another season.” We’re guessing they’ll be going out with a bang, though. See photos of Sevigny, fellow fashion victim Ginnifer Goodwin and other ladies from the cast below.

Chloe Sevigny’s Bikini Reminds Us Big Love Is Back

Chloe Sevigny

Hey True Blood fans, wait until you get a load of these! Fashion freak Chloe Sevigny did her part to promote season five of Big Love over the weekend, taking to South Beach in Miami wearing nothing but a mismatched bikini (leave it to Chloe to make even skimpy swimwear tragically hip). Chloe said she won’t do nudity on Big Love anymore, so maybe this public display was a chance to make it up to the producers.

Vincent Gallo Responds To Chloe Sevigny’s “Therapy” Statements

3418272

If we were Chloe Sevigny, we’d totally be embarrassed for running our mouths off. In a dramatic statement, the actress bared her, erm, thoughts about her infamous b.j scene in Vincent Gallo’s Brown Bunny, saying, “There are a lot of emotions. I’ll probably have to go to therapy at some point. But I love Vincent. The film is tragic and beautiful, and I’m proud of it and my performance. I’m sad that people think one way of the movie, but what can you do?” If we performed a real-life sex act on screen we’d probably have to go to rehab, not therapy, because it would take a lot more than “art” to go ahead with the scene.

But Chloe’s saving grace, for her at least, was that the person she was going down on was her boyfriend. That would be Vincent, right? Not quite, as far as “boyfriend” is concerned. Gallo responded to Sevigny‘s statements, and he’s really putting Chloe in her place (which, for the record, is not kneeling). He’s categorically stated that they were never together. “Chloe and I were never boyfriend and girlfriend. In 1995 we made out once in Paris.” Woah. Translation: Talk to the hand, Chloe. He slammed added, “I feel Chloe has suggested we were boyfriend and girlfriend to lessen the boldness of her appearance…and to portray herself as a devoted girlfriend and victim rather than a great radical performer. I am sorry she feels the experience was so startling that she needs therapy to resolve her feelings.” Ouch. If Chloe’s “emotions” were bruised before, they’re probably battered now.

Chloe Sevigny’s Wardrobe Issues Are Contagious

Chloe Sevigny

We love Chloe Sevigny for her crazy fashion sense, but we’re starting to worry about its affect on others. Chloe visited her Big Love co-star Ginnifer Goodwin on the set of Something Borrowed yesterday, naturally wandering the streets of NY in a Cramps T-shirt, suspenders and mom jeans (1995: it’s now if you want it). While it was a lovely show of support, one poor visitee had her skirt blown high while hugging Chloe, either by a gust of wind or by the Boys Don’t Cry actress’ magical ability to siphon away the dignity of those she’s close to (which would explain a lot about Vincent Gallo). See more photos from the set in the gallery below.
