30 Oscar Winners Who Have Also Been Nominated For Razzies

Do your movies keep filling up the direct-to-DVD dollar bin? Do they often complete the phrase “the worst film since…”? Do they make less money than we did that time we went to a Coinstar? Well, don’t let that get you down, because you could still be in the running for Oscar glory! Every year, the Golden Raspberry Award Foundation names the most terrible films and performances of the year. Sure, it’s gotta hurt to be named the absolute worst of Hollywood, but just know that you’re in surprisingly good company. Check out the gallery below to see some Oscar winners who have also been up for a Razzie!

Michael Fassbender’s On-Camera Pee, And Other Oscar Roundtable Moments

Whether they’re peeing in front of a camera, talking about their bat nipples or discussing people slicing off their toes, celebrities truly are just like us. And by us, we mean giant weirdos. When Newsweek assembled George Clooney, Tilda Swinton, Viola Davis, Charlize Theron, Christopher Plummer and Michael Fassbender for their Oscar roundtable, plenty of creepy stories and awkward moments started to emerge. “I did actually pee on-camera, ” Fassbender admits about his starring role in Shame, explaining that he got it done in three takes. “Hard to stop, isn’t it?” Clooney blurts gleefully. Other delightfully off-putting moments that cropped up during the stars’ discussion included:

  • Clooney’s depressing shoe salesman years. “There was a whole generation of women who had a toe cut off to fit in tight pumps,” he…jokes?
  • Charlize Theron commanding that Viola Davis recognize, “You’re hot as sh–!”
  • Clooney’s defense of the Batman sequels, which gets derailed by Tilda Swinton’s memory of his prominent rubber batsuit nipples. “Had I known they were going to put nipples on the thing, I would have rethought it,” George sighs.
  • Christopher Plummer’s very real beef with Tree of Life director Terrence Malick, saying of his experience making Malick’s film The New World, “I gave him sh–. I’ll never work with him again.”
  • Charlize’s amazing impression of Kristen Wiig in Bridesmaids.

So … can we give all of them an Oscar for all this riffing? Or just to Tilda Swinton for uttering the phrase, “There are laws about erections now, aren’t there?” We don’t need all those short film Oscars. Just swap one of them out and no one will be the wiser.

W Magazine Doubles The Sexiness With Cover Stars Brad Pitt, Charlize Theron

The February cover of W magazine is like a double bonanza. Oozing sexiness on a special dual cover are Brad Pitt and Charlize Theron. Don’t they look drop dead amazing? The interviews with both stars provide interesting tidbits of information. For instance, Charlize reveals her usage of ”cutlets.” You know … bra fillers! She says, “I wear those! If you don’t have boobs, you wear those cutlets. I heard a story of a girl who was on a date, started making out, and thought, Oh, he’s going to touch the cutlets! So she went to the bathroom to take them off, but her purse was too small to put them in there. I always thought that was a funny image, a woman not knowing what to do with these things that you stick onto your boobs. It’s just the most bizarre, unsexy thing there is—so I added that to Mavis.” And indeed, Mavis, her character in Young Adult, has more than one scene featuring said undergarments.

Brad, on the other hand, talks about movies and whether or not he’s OK with watching himself die on screen. He doesn’t have a problem, it seems, as he revealed, “God, no. I’m just checking the boxes. Hit that. Missed that. Hit that moment. Missed that one. God, I’d like to do that one again.” He also talks about the one film that made him cry. Interested to know more? You’ll have to read the

Golden Globes Battle Of The Bands: Charlize Theron Vs. Michelle Williams

Two of the most stylish women in Hollywood picked the same accessory at the Golden Globes this year. Charlize Theron and Michelle Williams both put on girly headbands to complement their gorgeous gown. Charlize is on our 20 Best-Dressed list, FYI. She wore a delicate, bejewelled silver headband, that looked lovely with her side-swept waves and her Dior Couture gown. Michelle wore a jeweled, vintage Fred Leighton headband, which vibed beautifully with her strawberry blond hair and navy and black Jason Wu dress. The question is, who do you think won the battle of the bands?

Golden Globes Red Carpet: The 20 Best-Dressed

We saw a whole lot of cray, even more neutrals and a healthy splattering of color on the red carpet at the Golden Globes tonight. And our favorites of the bunch come from all of the above categories. We weren’t too surprised that Angelina Jolie, Charlize Theron and Reese Witherspoon topped the list — after all, they’ve had a lot of practice at these things — but we hardly could have predicted their dresses. They’re the kind of gowns that make little girls and grown women want to play dress-up. Check out our top 20 list below, and then tell us why we’re all wrong in the comments below!

Charlize Theron: Kristen Stewart And I Had “Amazing Chemistry”

Allow me to get cheesy here for a moment. Charlize Theron has an energy about her, guys. I interviewed her tonight at the Critics’ Choice Movie Awards — my second time chatting with Charlize – and on both occasions it has felt like I am talking to a zen master. She’s just got this vibe — peaceful yet fierce, vibrant yet calm. And man, you can just tell she’s going to kick so much ass as the Evil Queen in Snow White and The Huntsman.

The film features two strong female leads, with Charlize battling Kristen Stewart’s Snow White. The Oscar winner told me the two clicked instantly. “We had amazing chemistry, right off the bat,” she said. “We just really hit it off.”

“We had a great time doing it,” Charlize said of the film. “I hope people enjoy it as much as we did.” Not to worry — we’re pretty sure we’re going to love it.

Critics’ Choice Movie Awards Red Carpet 12 Best-Dressed

Oh, yeah, people. After yesterday’s PCA dress rehearsal, awards season 2012 got really fired up at the Critics’ Choice Movie Awards tonight. Our appetites for sequins and lace and tuxes are whetted. We are ready to spend the next month debating whether blue is the new black, whether the mullet dress should go the way of the mullet, and whether men can make it onto the best-dressed list without looking absolutely silly (we’re talking to you, Christopher Plummer).

So, now that we’ve gushed over little sisters Elle Fanning and Elizabeth Olsen, and we’ve been pondering the fact that all those gothic ladies were wearing romantic black at 3 in the afternoon, it’s time to commit to a best-dressed list. From the adorable Thomas Horn and Berenice Bejo to the deliciously elegant Charlize Theron, Michelle Williams and Sir Ben Kingsley, to Brad Pitt and h here are our 12 favorites from the evening. Disagree? Well, tell us in the comments!

Gothic Romance Sweeps The Critics’ Choice Red Carpet

While there were splashes of color on the red carpet at the Critics’ Choice Movie Awards, there was also the predicable black-on-black-on-black ensembles. But the mood was anything but sombre, as those sporting black gowns added an edge to their style with a gothic twist that played off the vampiric undertones of 2011′s trends. Charlize Theron was statuesque in a gown that cascaded in tiers to her feet, with a sleek braid and minimal accessories giving the dark look a modern, fresh feel. Evan Rachel Wood also opted for a floor length gown, and her lacy number, porcelain skin and twisted up-do lent the the look a stoic, old-world air. Judy Greer also went for gothic femininity, in a body-hugging dress overlaid with intricate black lace. Kirsten Dunst wore a beautiful Dior LBD, and embellished with ribbon and tulle, Kirsten bought her signature quirky, fashion forward style to the runway. Also rocking a shorter dress was Chloe Moretz, who went all out on the goth trend in Chanel, wearing shearling sleeves on a baby doll dress with raw seams and ancient looking brooch adorning the collar.

Stars Nominate Charlize Theron, J.Lo, Tilda Swinton For Best-Dressed Of 2011

Are you having trouble deciding who among our list of 30 lovely ladies was the best-dressed celebrity of 2011? You’re not alone. We posed that question to a number of other famous folks on red carpets and in the VH1 offices, and many were stumped. But when they did finally answer, they gave us a few names that didn’t make our original list — and now we realize it easily could have been a top 50. Watch on:

“I always think Charlize looks amazing,” Aisha Tyler told us.

Questlove put his choice in context: “The best-dressed celeb of 2011 was J.Lo, considering the tragedy she went through this year. I feel like she’s put on a brave face and she came out smelling like a rose.”

There was a bit of nepotism at play too: “My wife, Paula Patton,” Robin Thicke declared, and Bill Hader nominated his SNL co-star Kristen Wiig.

First Trailer Of Prometheus Scares The Pants Off Us

Whoever did the background score and sound effects for Prometheus — well done. Even though we didn’t get to see any real carnage, but only the suggestions of it, the various screams and pleas punctuated by a looming, foreboding swell of music made us crawl under our duvet. We already know this movie is going to be terrifying. It’s the prequel to the Alien series and is directed by who else but Ridley Scott. The cast is pretty amazing too with Charlize Theron, Michael Fassbender, Noomi Rapace and Idris Elba starring. Prometheus will be out in theatres in June, 2012. Until then, this chilling trailer should suffice.
