Red-Hot Celebrities Walk The Heart Truth Runway In New York City

The Heart Truth Red Dress show opened New York Fashion Week yesterday. And what a show it was! The annual show has celebrities wearing different red dresses as symbols to help inspire women to get proactive with heart disease awareness.

The star of the show was Dita von Teese, who killed it in a scarlet Zac Posen gown. Camila Alves came a close second looking statuesque in Kaufman Franco column — but then again, she is a model! Suzanne Somers wore a flirty flounced Ina Soltani number, and we have to say, she looked pretty damn great too. A chestnut haired Denise Richards looked gorgeous in Matthew Williamson, while Patti LaBelle shut it down in a dramatic Zang Toi creation. Welsh Playboy Steve Jones To Host American TV Show

Hey, America! You know what you really, really need? Another British TV host! Yes! We’ve been thinking over here in the UK that what you have been missing is another unfamiliar accent chirping out of your TVs and taking another one of the top jobs that doesn’t already belong to Ryan Seacrest.

Of course, we know that you’ve already got Cat Deeley, Alexa Chung and Myleene Klass presenting big TV shows, but lucky, lucky you, Steve Jones is also headed your way. The Welsh host, who’s better known for his romantic life (he’s hooked up with Pamela Anderson, Halle Berry and Hayden Panetierre) has revealed he’s lining up a show on your shores.

“I am currently in talks with the American TV network ABC but things are only in the planning stage at the minute. It will be my own show, which may last for about six weeks,” he said. America, lock up your daughters. [Photo: WireImage]

Another Brit TV Host To Take Over U.S.

As if the “special relationship” between the US and the UK wasn’t precious enough, now we in Britain can’t stop gifting you our TV presenters. You’ve already turned Cat Deeley from a tomboy-ish host of quirky kids shows into a glossy prime time hottie, and cool-as-anything Alexa Chung is about to start hosting a new MTV show from NYC. And now Myleene Klass is about to host the new series of I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! starting on June 1 on NBC.

So who is this Myleene, eh? Here’s a quick rundown of MK 101: she first came to fame in the UK as one of the winners of reality show Popstars 2001, forming a band called Hear’Say who had huge, brief success before predictably imploding. Classically-trained musician Myleene then tried her hand at a few things, notably kids show presenting, before reinventing herself on the UK version of I’m A Celebrity in 2006 (get the connection there?) She’s now a one-woman powerhouse, combining presenting on radio and TV, music, designing her own kids fashion range (she’s got a toddler daughter called Ava), and modeling. Americans give the English Barack Obama (for a couple days, at least), and the English are giving us another TV presenter to take over the schedules just like Cat Deeley. Currently the darling of the stylish London party scene (she’s mates with Kelly Osbourne, the Geldof girls and Lily Allen amongst others), Alexa Chung has presented countless music and fashion-based TV shows and has been heralded by the style press in London as the coolest girl going. Which she kind of is. And she’s headed to Brooklyn (of course).

“Alexa has been offered a big show over there so she’s heading off this summer. She’s picked out an apartment really near to Daisy Lowe‘s in trendy Williamsburg in Brooklyn, close to where Peaches Geldof moved last year,” says a source. Agyness watch out – let the hipster-off begin! [Photo: WENN]

Why Paris Hilton Will Never Be A Presenter (Here’s Hoping)

Continuing her threat to never leave the UK, Paris Hilton was on primetime TV last night, presenting a gong at the National Television Awards ceremony. And dear GOD, we hope she doesn’t repeat the horror. Wearing a lovely sparkly dress, all was well until she opened her mouth and tried to speak naturally.

“London’s my favourite city in the whole world. I’ve been here for the past couple of months finding my British best friend, so I’ll probably be on this stage next year accepting an award,” she said, to universal sniggers and open-mouthed disbelief.

Stiff as an ironing board, she then posed awkwardly while trying to read out a list of programs she’d clearly never heard of. Nice effort, love, but we can’t see Cat Deeley worrying about the competition just yet.
