What To Expect When You’re Expecting To Eat Until You Need Bigger Pants

What To Expect When You’re Expecting hyped its leading ladies and their respective prosthetic bellies today in a new series of character posters. We were just wondering why it isn’t acceptable to clutch your abdomen in public (sometimes you just need a clutch!) when it struck us: All these actresses with bulging bellies, including the lovely Anna Kendrick and Elizabeth Banks, look a lot like us … after a gigantic, delicious meal. One that featured chili, perhaps? A hearty stew? A platter of assorted fudge?

Either way, everyone enjoys having something in their bellies, whether it’s a tiny human or a personal pan pizza. The movie is coming out May 11, so they’ve probably settled on a final script, but we couldn’t help but fantasize about what our poster taglines would say if we could fiddle with the film’s premise. And if we were really, really, really hungry:

What Does Brooklyn Decker Have On Her Head?

Oh, Brooklyn Decker. Bless you for becoming the face of the 2012 Magic Millions Carnival and Horse Racing event. It’s in Australia and will be held on the Gold Coast. She was at her official ambassador photo call in Surfers Paradise today and showed up in a perfectly lovely green dress. And fabulous ankle strap heels — we have no idea how she’s navigating the sand on those babies. It’s that thing on her head we’re most concerned with. We know it’s supposed to be a hat. But is it really? Because she looks like she’s given a ride to stranded flying saucer. It’s kind of awesome, in a science fiction kind of way.

Battleship Trailer Stars Rihanna, Other People Who Aren’t Rihanna

Who ever made the second and most recent Battleship trailer was smart enough to know why most of the human race will be seeing it*: a fantastic lady by the name of Rihanna. Not that the huge action movie doesn’t look good in it’s own right; it’s also got Brooklyn Decker, Liam Neeson and some kind of centuries-old hidden alien army lying in wait on the ocean floor**. Most importantly, though, it has Rihanna’s acting debut***. It seems pretty solid! When RiRi yells, “What the hell is that?” you really feel like she wanted to know what the hell that was. As much as we love extraterrestrial fireballs with chainsaw tails ripping apart helicopters and smashing buildings, let us take a moment to pay homage to the best part of this and any movie: the precious seconds Rihanna is on screen.

*Editor’s note: There are some of us who have had this movie’s opening marked in our calendars as “dinner with Taylor Kitsch AND Alexander Skarsgard” since last year.
**And also Eric Northman getting his face warped and Tim Riggins getting all militaried up.
*** “More importantly,” we’d like to mention, is only according to Halle Kiefer. Her editor would like to argue that nothing is more important than Taylor looking very, very worried.

Stars Flock To The CFDA Vogue Awards

The CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Awards took place on Monday night at the Skylight in New York. Young Hollywood was well rep’d by the likes of Amanda Seyfried, Joe Jonas, Chloe Moretz, Mia Wasikowska, Zoe Kravitz and Olivia Wilde. It was couple’s night as well with Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner, La La and Carmelo Anthony, Rebecca Romijn and Jerry O’Connell and Cobra Starship‘s Gabe Saporta with designer Erin Featherstone making an appearance. The event was presided over by the steely eyes of Anna Wintour, so you know everyone rethought their outfits at least five times before heading out.

Those Aliens Sunk Our Battleship (Trailer)!

You would have thought Transformers 3: Dark Side Of The Moon would have satisfied America’s thirst for robot warfare, but surprisingly the new Battleship teaser trailer has us wanting more. Starring Friday Night Light‘s Taylor Kitsch, Alexander Skarsgard and Brooklyn Decker, Battleship seems to offer a neat spin on the traditional board game set-up: since the villain is some sort of ominous airship, it’s looking down at us like we are tiny plastic boats to be used for its amusement! And are those pegs they’re shooting into the side of those boats? Why, yes. Yes, they are.

Our only problem with the film so far is the glaring absence of Rihanna, who makes her big-budget film debut when the film drops May 18, 2012. Oh, maybe Rihanna has THE LINE and they want to hold onto it until just the right time. You know one we mean.

From Pantsuits To Prowlin’ Prints: The 10 Best Dressed At The MTV Movie Awards

While anyone who reads TheFABlife knows we’re just a tad biased, our gurl Kristen Stewart (photos) took – nay, RAN AWAY WITH – the cake for Best Dressed at the 2011 MTV Movie Awards. The sparkle, the high hemline, the color! Her perfectly tousled ‘do! It was a fashion squee to be heard ’round the world.

Other contenders for TFL’s Best Dressed trophy were Leighton Meester, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Emma Stone. We really enjoyed the variety the ladies brought to the red carpet, from Elle Fanning‘s lil’ romper to Hailee Steinfeld‘s chic pantsuit to Selena Gomez‘s nod to the 1960s. Brooklyn Decker Gets Bobbed

Brooklyn Decker took it all off on Wednesday. Not her clothes, her hair. Brooklyn chopped off 10 whole inches of it! She tweeted the photos with a message to her her stylist and colorist saying, “Chopped my hair OFF today!! Thank you!! I love!! @jasonhueman @tedgibson”. We really love it too! We know Brooklyn would look good in a sack with a paper bag over her face, but we’re totally feeling this sun-kissed, soft, wavy vibe. It’s a keeper! We actually prefer it to her long haired avatar. But we’re going to leave the ultimate call to you. So what say, you guys? Do you like this look better, or were those scissors the Delilah to her Samson?

Jennifer Aniston Can’t Stop Touching Her New ‘Do

Jennifer Aniston debuted a new hairdo this week in Spain at the Madrid photocall for her latest film Just Go With It, co-starring Adam Sandler and Brooklyn Decker. We really like Aniston’s updated, sun-kissed look, and clearly she does too, because she can’t keep her hands off her hair.

Also, is is just us or are she and Barbra Streisand morphing into each other? It all started when Aniston made herself over into Streisand for Harper’s Bazaar last year, which was a nice tribute. But at the Grammys last week, when Streisand took the stage, she was clearly channeling Aniston’s hair from the last few years. And now in these latest shots, Aniston’s bob is reminiscent of Streisand’s signature ‘do and the dark eyeliner only amps up the resemblance even more. Are these two trying to be twins or are we just imagining things?
