The 30 Best Dressed Stars Of 2011: Vote For Your Favorite Now!

How did we come up with this list of 30 best dressed stars for 2011? Many hours of poring through pictures of premieres, award shows, concerts, events … you name it, we saw it. We also think it’s a pretty diverse list covering our favorites and yours. Will you vote for bombshells like Jennifer Lopez or Sofia Vergara, whose Modern Family co-star, Sarah Hyland, has also made it onto the polls. Or for gamine pixies like Zooey Deschanel, Michelle Williams and Carey Mulligan? If you prefer the ingenues, then Chloe Moretz, Hailee Steinfeld and Jennifer Lawrence are on the list as well. The best clotheshorses in H’town are included and they’re the type who look perfectly at home (translation: drop dead gorgeous) in designer wear. We’re talking about women like Anne Hathaway, Zoe Saldana, Olivia Wilde, Amber Heard, Mila Kunis and Blake Lively. The latter’s new boyfriend’s ex, Scarlett Johansson is up for the win, making this an interesting face-off!

You should have a heads up that there are a couple of duos in there, and we’re sorry in advance for making you choose between them. We have the two Emmas — Emma Watson and Emma Stone. There are the Twilight hotties — Kristen Stewart and Ashley Greene. The television cuties — Lea Michele and Nina Dobrev. The yummy mummies (one is currently pregnant and one gave birth earlier this year) — Beyonce and Jessica Alba. And of course, the sunshine blondes — Cameron Diaz and Reese Witherspoon. We know, it’s really hard! What’s even harder is choosing between the trio of besties — Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato and Taylor Swift. And finally, rounding up the list, standing tall and very royal is the newly minted Duchess, who hasn’t made a sartorial step wrong all year, Kate Middleton.

Who Is Anne Hathaway’s Future Mr. Catwoman Adam Shulman?

Anne Hathaway has come a long way from the young woman with grotesque fake eyebrows in The Princess Diaries. As of today, however, Anne can start preparing for her latest role (Smug Married #5), seeing as how she’s officially engaged to her beau of three years Adam Shulman. But who is Mr. Shulman, anyway, in addition to being a total babe and confident enough in his masculinity to date a literal supervillian? Learn a little more about the man who Hathaway will have extremely pale, charismatic babies with (we hope!):

Has starred in a Dukes Of Hazzard movie: Bestowing upon him the honor of co-starring alongside Mr. Willie Nelson, Adam’s most prominent acting role (of the, um, four he’s done) would be Deputy Enos Strate in the TV movie The Dukes of Hazzard: The Beginning. Adam and Anne didn’t start dating until 2008, so this was clearly not the work of nepotism. Clearly.
Has worked with Brittany Snow: As well as his episode turn on The West Wing in 2006 (we’re sure he killed it as Youth Voter #1), Adam had a seven episode run guest starring as Paul O’Bannon on the period family drama American Dreams, which was set in the tumultuous ’60s, back in 2005. He pre-Mad Men‘ed Mad Men!
Makes jewelry!: Earlier this year Adam started a jewelry line James Banks Design with partner Heidi Nahser Fink; their pieces appear to be delightfully light bulb- and butterfly-centric. Shockingly, Anne’s engagement ring was designed by Kwiat Heritage, her rep says, though maybe Adam’s planning to blow her away with a butterfly-light bulb masterpiece at the ceremony.
May have gotten up to some low-level thievery: Shulman got into trouble last year after he and some friends swiped a piece of street art pained by graffiti artist Mr. Brainwash in NYC. After Hathaway’s ex Raffaello Follieri, though, anything short of a felony must seem ring-worthy. What with all the swindling investors and whatnot.
Saw Hathaway’s Oscar hosting gig and loves her anyway: Is there any greater act of love than that? Hey, don’t cry, James Franco. One day. One day.

Will We See Lady Gaga, Other Star Cameos In The Muppets DVD Extras?

After years of rumors and vague responses about Lady Gaga‘s appearance in The Muppets, the cameo sadly wound up on the cutting room floor due to time constraints. Moviehole.net reports that it involved Gaga and her entourage — Ed Helms, John Krasinski and possibly Eric Stonestreet — in a showdown with Miss Piggy. And they may or may not have done a version of Madonna‘s “Vogue.” We fail to see how ANY OTHER plot point could have been more important than this. But we are still crossing our fingers that this makes it to the DVD extras.

Moviehole has a whole list of cameos cut from the original script. Elmo, Paul Rudd, Steve Carell, Rachael Ray, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Christian Bale, Kathy Griffin, Anne Hathaway, Katy Perry and George Clooney were all on the wish list. Of course, many of those stars happen to be very busy and couldn’t squeeze a Muppet shoot into their schedules (Elmo). But a couple of other big names shot scenes that we’re hoping to see one day: Jason Segel‘s Forgetting Sarah Marshall co-star Mila Kunis and Ben Stiller.

Given the movie’s strong performance at the box office over the holiday weekend (natch, it couldn’t beat Breaking Dawn Part 1, but it was a respectable second place), maybe some of those clever cameos will make it into another Muppets movie?

Anne Hathaway Is A Sex Kitten As Catwoman

Anne Hathaway has officially squashed any worries that she wouldn’t measure up to the sexiness of previous Catladies Michelle Pfeiffer or Halle Berry. Fully-costumed Hathaway pranced around The Dark Knight Rises set this weekend looking toned and tiny-waisted in the legendary skin-tight latex. Ruby red lips completed her purr-fectly (sorry) amazing look.

Anne Hathaway May Join Hugh Jackman In Les Miz Movie

The musical theater nerd inside her must be scuh-reaming right now. You know, in addition the one on the outside. EW reports that we may soon see Anne Hathway in Les Miserables, belting it out as Fantine, mother to moppet Cosette, in the film version of the musical. Hathaway’s character must rely on the help of Hugh Jackman‘s Jean Valjean, which we’re hoping means they are singing each other congratulations over the phone right…now.

It’s only been two years since Hathaway and Jackman showed off their pipes in a duet at the 2009 Oscars, and just a few shorts months since Anne awkwardly sang “On My Own” to Hugh during her Oscars hosting gig. $10 says the Les Mis producers heard her version of the song from the musical-turned-movie and decided to hire her. $10 also says that we’ll also never actually find that out for sure.

Anne Hathway Covers Interview Magazine, Talks Affinity To Snooki And JWoww!

Okay, the September cover of Interview Magazine with Anne Hathaway is drop dead gorgeous. It reminds us of the Kate Moss 2008 Interview cover which is admittedly more feline. But hey, Anne is Catwoman and we feel this cover is a more couture nod to that role. But apart from our sartorial thumbs-up, we truly appreciate Chelsea Handler‘s interview with Anne, which only made us love the actress more.

We find out that the actress is, in fact, a Jersey Girl, which obviously leads to a full discussion about her love for that seminal show — Jersey Shore. And her similarities with Snooki and JWoww. Anne reveals, “… I like to watch MTV for escapist pleasure, but when I saw Snooki, I saw my twin. I couldn’t lose myself in the show anymore because there I was… That being said, I think JWoww is amazing. I love JWoww. She’s intense. See, JWoww to me is proper Jersey because she will scrap for a friend.” Because, and you and I did not know this about Anne, but she can get pretty scrappy herself.

She explained this pugilist side with, “My best friend got married this past weekend in Barcelona, and I was one of her bridesmaids. She’s one of my best friends from Jersey, and this guy was messing with her, and I was totally like, “Who am I punching?” She was like, “No one. You’re not going to punch anyone. And I was like, “Fair enough, but if a fight breaks out, who do you want me to swing at?”

We want to be besties with Anne now and vacation with her Positano too.

This Is Anne Hathaway Rapping “In The Style Of Lil Wayne”

We smell an SNL Digital Short in the making! This clip of Anne Hathaway rapping on Conan is both horrifying and charming. The One Day actress apparently pens songs when she gets stressed out, and her most recent work is a rap song “in the style of Lil Wayne” about the paparazzi. See, charming — until she opens her mouth and a demon voice emerges. Why didn’t she let this beast out while hosting the Oscars? It would have at least made the show interesting. Terrifying, but interesting.

Anne Hathaway Defends Her Sort Of Lame Catwoman Outfit

Someone must have told Anne Hathaway that we weren’t exactly blown away by the sneak peek of her The Dark Knight Rises‘ Catwoman outfit. Goggles and a dramatic lip don’t really scream “feline superheroine,” do they? “I was not going to admit it: I asked someone to send me a few reactions. And I happen to know that MTV’s reaction was ‘meh,’” Hathaway told an MTV interviewer. “What I am happy to say is, if you didn’t like the photo — I’m gonna start with the negative — you only see about a tenth of what that suit can do. And if you did like the photo, you have excellent taste.” Hmm, unless the other 9/10 of what the suit can do involves a real mask, black vinyl with white stitching and a 34-year-old Michelle Pfeiffer, we will probably still have a problem with it.

Of course that isn’t the only Dark Knight drama surrounding Anne’s character. Yesterday one of the Catwoman stunt doubles smashed an IMAX camera when she accidentally drove into the camera person; luckily no one was injured. Okay, we guess that’s technically more like a cat, since they can’t drive motorcycles…consider us back on-board!

Three Premieres, Three Gorgeous Ladies, But Who Looks Best?

We think these three hit out of the ball park yesterday. And because we can’t decide who looked the best, we’re going to ask you to help chip in. On the left we have a very sexy Olivia Wilde in Munich, Germany at the Cowboys & Aliens premiere. She wore a Tom Ford dress, Brian Atwood shoes and Carrera y Carrera jewelry. In the middle we have a radiant Anne Hathaway at the One Day premiere in New York. She’s wearing an Alexander McQueen dress, Tiffany & Co. jewelry and bag and shoes both by Christian Louboutin.

And at last, we have Katie Holmes, looking better than we’ve seen her in a while, on the right at the Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark premiere in New York, again.
