Piper Perabo Proves Golden Globes Neutrals More Colorful Than We Thought

Neutrals and blush: If done right, you’re instantly transformed into a more sophisticated and elegant version of yourself. Done wrong, you’re either a human-size Band-Aid or a couture Golden Girl. And not the hot one. Either way, Piper Perabo took pleasure in demonstrating how unbeige beige can be on the Golden Globes red carpet tonight, as did Charlize Theron, Heidi Klum, Katherine McPhee, Amanda Peet, Taissa Farmiga, E!’s Guiliana Rancic, and Modern Family’s Sarah Hyland and Julie Bowden. The neutrals and blushes are still coming fast and furious, but which is your favorite flesh-toned frock so far?

Leighton Meester Takes “Black Tie” Literally

It looks like Leighton Meester didn’t realize that “black tie” is just a figure of speech, or maybe she just didn’t care. She shouldn’t, because she still looked amazing arriving at New York’s Gotham Independent Film awards in a sleek suit. Any excuse to rock the Annie Hall look is fine by us, and it’s a far cry from the butt baring attire the Gossip Girl wore out a few weeks ago.

Tons of other stars showed up too, including the Hot Young Actress Holy Trinity: Anne Hathaway, Mila Kunis and Natalie Portman. Legends Bill Murray and Robert Duvall were also in attendance, as were old favorites Winona Ryder and Amanda Peet (long time no see, guys). Check out the faces and the fashions in the gallery below!

Kate and Alex are secondhand furniture sellers who know all the good stuff comes from dead old people. When not picking over undervalued estates, they’re waiting for their elderly neighbor to die so they can co-opt her apartment. That brings them into contact with the irascible buzzard’s grand-daughters. Mary is a too-tan skin care technician. Rebecca is a sullen nurse dedicated to the sister and grand-mother who don’t really deserve her. At first glance, this story of the well-to-do on New York’s Upper West Side seems like it’s headed to familiar Woody Allen territory. In fact, it’s a smart and sometimes bittersweet take on being greedy, the value of aging and the limits of compassion. It also provides meaty parts for a trio of terrific actresses: Catherine Keener (Where the Wild Things Are), Amanda Peet (2012), and this month’s “It” girl, Rebecca Hall (The Town).

Amanda Peet Hits The Red Carpet Days After Giving Birth

Amanda Peet didn’t let pregnancy keep her off the red carpet, so why should she waste any time getting back on once the kid was born? The Whole Nine Yards star attended the premiere of her new movie Please Give at the Tribeca Film Festival last night, only eight days after the birth of Molly June, her second daughter with husband David Benioff. Molly’s birth came early enough that Peet had to cancel a Letterman appearance scheduled the day after—maybe she was supposed to be preggo for this photo op too.
