Seal And Heidi Klum: Doomed To Split Or Destined To Reunite?

Even as Seal insists to Piers Morgan, Tavis Smiley and Ellen DeGeneres that he and Heidi Klum still love and respect each other, despite their separation, the gossip world is doing its darndest to dig up dirt on why the super couple is splitting. We’re kind of getting whiplash from this whole thing — do they still have a chance at a reunion, or has divorce been a long time coming? Draw your own conclusions based on these stories:

TMZ still maintains that Seal’s “volcanic” temper is the cause of their problems. Talk about a blow to our image of the man who just sang Al Green’s “Let’s Stay Together” on Ellen.

Some sources told People that the couple’s trip to Aspen over the holidays marked “the final straw” of their relationship. “Aspen didn’t go as well as planned … there were more lows than highs.” At the same time, paparazzi in the ski town were just as blissfully unaware as the rest of us: “They couldn’t stop kissing and cuddling. They spent a lot of time with their kids, but also managed to sneak in several solo ski runs together. If they were having problems, they were definitely not showing during the day.”

Seal And Heidi Klum Release Official Statement Regarding Their Separation

After the really heartbreaking news that Seal and Heidi Klum were going to split up broke over the weekend, the duo released a statement regarding their separation to quell questions. It doesn’t give the personal reasons behind their decision, of course, but it’s something at least. It reads,

“While we have enjoyed seven very loving, loyal and happy years of marriage, after much soul-searching we have decided to separate. We have had the deepest respect for one another throughout our relationship and continue to love each other very much, but we have grown apart. This is an amicable process and protecting the well-being of our children remains our top priority, especially during this time of transition. We thank our family, friends, and fans for their kind words of support. And for our children’s sake, we appreciate you respecting our privacy.”

All they’ve really given us here is “we have grown apart.” Doesn’t really help when one of the most seemingly-happy marriages in Hollywood is falling apart. We really hope this one stays amicable, and we wish both of them well.

Heidi Klum And Seal Are Getting A Divorce, Killing Our Faith In True Love

Our belief in true love is taking a serious beating right now. A couple that we thought were the real deal are reportedly splitting up. Are you ready for this? It’s Seal and Heidi Klum, and TMZ has published a story that the ex-Victoria’s Secret supermodel is going to file for divorce at the L.A County Superior Court next week. Talk about things happening out of the blue! Sources say that she’s going to be checking the “irreconcilable differences” box as the reason for the split.

Are you as shocked as we are? Because we thought these two were in it for the long haul, and we’re pretty stumped about what went wrong. They’ve been married for what would have been seven years this year, on May 10. They have four beautiful kids and seemed like such a solid family. They even renew their vows every year for cryin’ out loud! We’ve written stories in the past about what a perfect couple they are, so this is one big burn. We’re sure some more information will surface next week and we’ll be waiting for it.

If there is one celebrity couple we never worry about being on the rocks, it’s Heidi Klum and Seal. They’ve renewed their vows 19017831 times, have a flock of adorable children, and always look genuinely in love with each other. They’re currently on vacation in Sardinia with their kids and found time for a little PDA in between family fun time in the ocean. Even more adorable is their mutual adoration for skimpy swim wear. Heidi Klum showed off her post-baby body in Mexico yesterday, where the Project Runway host will once again renew her vows to Seal to celebrate their fifth anniversary. “It’s so special to us, something we love and something our children have gotten accustomed to,” she told Redbook. “It’s like, ‘Hey, Mom and Dad love each other and they get married every year!’” We have a feeling those kids might start whining about the lovefest before long, though. No teenager could deal with their mom telling the world “I don’t know why I got so lucky. I have to pinch myself often and say, ‘Is this just a dream?’ Not only do I love my husband for the obvious reasons (ahem, his sex appeal), but also he is one of the kindest, most loving men I have ever met.” Most people in bed with a Seal would assume they’re dreaming too. But tell us, Heidi, is he supersexy?

“He is sexy to me because he is fearless and not afraid to show his emotions. He is a supersexy, hot kisser and … he is sexy to me because he can be singing in front of 25,000 people one minute and, the next, be changing our daughter’s diaper.” Judging from their vacation photos, Seal’s even put on some sympathy pounds. As devoted fans of Project Runway know, Heidi Klum is never not pregnant. Klum and husband Seal keep cranking out adorably photogenic babies but more importantly, they are devoted to making their marriage work above all else. Klum (who has officially taken Seal’s last name, Samuel) said that the key to making the relationship work is to only have eyes for her husband. “I don’t flirt. It’s disrespectful to your husband,” Heidi told InStyle magazine (via People). “I would never do that. I’m very devoted, and he’s the same.” Also, when your only male coworkers are Michael Kors and Tim Gunn, it’s easy not to flirt.

The couple also renews their wedding vows every year to really hammer that love home, and other celebrity couples have taken notice. Recently when Fergie and Josh Duhamel renewed their own wedding vows, Duhamel admitted he stole the idea. “We got the idea from Heidi Klum and Seal. They do that and she’s like, ‘I want to do that!’ I thought it was a great idea and why not?” he said.

Bummed out by Charlie Sheen‘s family drama? Then enjoy Heidi Klum having a far more wholesome time skating in Aspen with children Leni, 5, and Henry, 4. Proud papa Seal was at the rink too, snapping photos and stealing kisses from his wife. “We always try to have a white Christmas each year, so we’re going to go to the snow,” Seal told the British magazine Closer. “We’ll rent a house in whatever resort we go to, and it’s guaranteed to be very noisy. Heidi dresses everyone up on Christmas Eve and they open their presents. It’s great fun.” Looks like she dresses them up after the holiday too! Grrr!

She is quite literally about to pop out baby number four (as it’s reported she’s now checked into Cedars-Sinai hospital ) but Heidi Klum hasn’t waited for their new arrival to cement her relationship with husband Seal. The German goddess has filed a court application to take his last name – Samuel – which is expected to be finalized on November 20.

When you’re a global brand the way Heidi is, it’s more than just a romantic gesture to take your husband’s name. But it still leaves us feeling all warm and squishy inside – and looking forward to finding out the name they’ll choose for the sixth member of the Samuel clan. [Photo: AFP]
