Celebrities Flock To Indianapolis To Watch The Super Bowl

You would think that a bunch of stars showed up in Indianapolis to watch the Super Bowl last night, and you would be right. We spotted a fair amount of them thanks to Twitter. Jessica Simpson, Lenny Kravitz and Rosie O’Donnell all tweeted photographs of themselves at the game. Husband-and-wife duo, Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton sang “America the Beautiful” right before kick-off. Seal was out with his camera. And after her pregame concert, you couldn’t miss Katy Perry either with her blue hair and crazy mismatched outfit (her shoes were different colors). And of course, Gisele Bundchen was there to console husband Tom Brady after his team lost. Check out all the photographs in our gallery below.

Lenny Kravitz Moves Us In New Hunger Games Pic

Rolling Stone has just posted the above brand-new Hunger Games photo, featuring Cinna and Katniss’ last moment together before she enters the arena, making us almost Kristen-Bell-sloth-level excited that there’s only 50 days (and a few hours) before the movie is out. It’s the kind of quiet scene that could be screwed up in a movie adaptation that’s filled with all that action and drama, but we think Gary Ross, Jennifer Lawrence and Lenny Kravitz just might get it right. Especially when we hear Lenny describe his character to RS: “He’s very streamlined, he’s very quiet. He knows what he’s doing. He’s confident. He’s got a big heart. I just liked the way he moved — very smooth.”

The rocker reveals that he took the role because he admired Suzanne Collins’ storytelling in the book. “I’m very much into stories. The character was interesting. I like Gary’s previous work. And I said, Yeah, let’s go.”

See The Hunger Games’ Jennifer Lawrence As The Girl About To Be On Fire

Here’s how The Hunger Games’ Katniss Everdeen describes the most famous piece of clothing since Bella’s wedding gown: “A few hours later, I am dressed in what will either be the most sensational or the deadliest costume in the opening ceremonies. I’m in a simple black unitard that covers me from ankle to neck. Shiny leather boots lace up to my knees.”

Now, over at EW.com, you can see how Gary Ross and company have turned Suzanne Collins’ words into reality in an exclusive pic of Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Lenny Kravitz. So far, so good, right? But there are a few things missing from the rest of her description:

Sort-Of New Hunger Games Stills Released

Lionsgate has done all of us a heavy and released a mostly fresh batch of The Hunger Games stills to ogle. While the countdown to March 23 continues, we’re pretty much champing at the bit to get out hands on it, so we’re excited about the “new” photos Lionsgate released this week, even if we’re pretty sure we’ve seen them all before. There are some photos that were previously exclusives with other magazines and sites, like the one of Elizabeth Banks as Effie Trinket with Jennifer Lawrence’s Katniss Everdeen in a scene that we know is going to make us bawl — when Katniss volunteers herself instead of Rue — as well as one of Lenny Kravitz, Woody Harrelson and Josh Hutcherson as Cinna, Haymitch and Peeta discussing strategy, and a behind-the-scenes shot of Jennifer in the forest. There are also stills of what we’ve seen in the trailer, such as the one of Amandla Stenberg as Rue, warrior Katniss holding a bow, and Katniss and Liam Hemsworth‘s Gale in the meadow and the one we included above, of Katniss being led to the arena. But yeah, so what if it’s all familiar territory? We don’t want the whole darn movie spoiled for us!

Lenny Kravitz Cast As Cinna In The Hunger Games

We admit this choice of casting surprised us, but the more we think about it, the more we think we can get on board. Lenny Kravitz has been cast as Cinna in The Hunger Games. The news was announced on the official The Hunger Games Twitter page, further linking to the Lionsgate publicity page, which did indeed advertise yesterday that the we have our Cinna.

It’s a lucky break for Lenny because we all know that the movie (and the consequent trilogy) is going to be massive! We know he’s super famous already, but movies are a whole different ball game and it often isn’t easy for singers to make the crossover. This feels like a good move from him post his role in Precious. But can he pull off the role of Cinna? Stylistically, yes. Kravitz can totally work those flicks of golden eyeliner. But Cinna is much more than that—and so much more than just Katniss Everdeen’s (Jennifer Lawrence) stylist. He’s the strong (and yes, sexy), enigmatic, ultimate voice of dissent, which can’t be an easy job to pull off. Cinna is the sort of character that draws you in slowly and steadily, and we can’t think of anyone we know who didn’t get completely attached to him. But we want to know what you think? Is there anyone else you feel would be better for the role, or is Lenny it?

Celebrities Flock Court-Side To Watch The NBA All-Star Game

Sunday night, the NBA All-Star game court-side at the Staples Center in L.A was studded with celebrities. Rihanna put on a raunchy show singing a medley of her hits with guest performers Drake and Kanye West. She spent the rest of the game chilling with one very happy Justin Bieber while Lenny Kravitz sat one space away. It was also Rihanna’s birthday yesterday so can we please have a chorus of Happy Birthday RiRi!

Right by the Biebs and a flame haired Rih’, were superstar couple Jay-Z and a gorgeous Beyonce, who had the sexiest pair of crystal Christian Louboutin skyscraper pumps on. They looked super-relaxed while chowing down on nachos, so screw the rumors that Jay-and-Bey are separating. They weren’t the only ones snacking while watching the game. Rick Fox and Eliza Dushku chowed down too. Ellen Pompeo and her husband Chris Ivery were watching from the crowds as well. What? No court-side tickets, guys?

Also, in one of the oddest seating arrangements ever, Lil Wayne was sitting next to Maria Shriver, who were a couple of seats away from John Legend and girlfriend-supermodel Chrissy Teigen. The Chicago Bulls mascot , Benny the Bull, got lucky, getting Teigen to sit on his lap while Legend took pictures. Looking far more serious were P Diddy and Nick Cannon who sat together. Shriver wasn’t around without her husband, in case you’re wondering. Arnold Schwarzenegger was around chatting with Gene Simmons.

They’re On The Wrong Track, Baby, They Were Dressed This Way: Top 10 Grammy Awards WTF Fashion Moments

This year’s Grammy Awards were very good to Lady Antebellum and Arcade Fire (winners of Song/Record of the Year and Album Of The Year, respectively). They were not, however, quite as good to the ten people that you’ll see below. Whereas the likes of Rihanna and Jennifer Lopez scored high in our gallery of the Top 15 Sexiest Grammy Awards outfits, we had some reservations about some of the fashion choices made by Lady Gaga, Kate Hudson, Cee Lo Green, Lenny Kravitz and more this evening. Sure, some of these outfits weren’t meant to be taken seriously (hi Cee Lo!), but they still had us scratching our heads and asking ourselves, “WTF?!?”

Keri Hilson Blows Away The NAACP Image Awards

Keri Hilson

No, that’s not the breeze—Keri Hilson‘s dress at the NAACP Image Awards Saturday just looked permanently windswept. The uninhibited singer not only performed at the ceremony but won Best New Artist, with Maxwell, Mary J. Blige and the Black Eyed Peas also taking home honors. In the cinematic categories, Precious, director Lee Daniels and stars Gabby Sidibe and Mo’Nique unsurprisingly snabbed trophies while Morgan Freeman won Best Actor for Invictus. See these stars and more in the red carpet gallery below.

George Clooney, MTV And VH1 Team Up For Massive Star-Studded Haiti Fundraiser

george-clooney-haiti-fundraiser
Details are trickling in as we type … But we’re hearing about a fundraiser for Haiti that is being masterminded by George Clooney. Allegedly MTV has agreed to air a bi-coastal happening on all of its channels (MTV, BET, CMT and our beloved VH1) in an attempt to provide much-needed support for the devasted victims of the earthquake.

According to Showbiz411, which broke the story today, Clooney was busy recruiting celebs at a party for Up in the Air last night — and Sting, after being approached, was overheard saying “Where do I go?” The timing for recruiting talent could not be better as nearly every A-list actor will be attending the Critics’ Choice Movie Awards on Friday and then the Golden Globes on Sunday. Expect to hear a lot about Haiti in upcoming acceptance speeches!

It’s hard to imagine this event going down without music. We can’t confirm anything at this time, but a straight talking-head telethon just isn’t how VH1 or MTV rolls. Plus, can you imagine Sting without his guitar? Exactly.

After the jump, we start the Official Haiti Fundraiser Celebrity Lineup Guessing Game, which includes Wyclef Jean, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, Matt Damon, Diddy, U2, Alicia Keys, Coldplay, Shakira, John Legend, Adam Lambert, Ryan Seacrest and the Dixie Chicks. (But first, find out how you can help at the White House’s website.)

Amber Rose And Coco Get Close At Good Hair Premiere

Coco & Amber Rose

Is there such a thing as too much arm candy? Amber Rose and Coco, best known for respectively standing next to Kanye West and Ice-T on red carpets, got rather affectionate at an afterparty for Chris Rock‘s Good Hair in NY last night. Sadly, Mr. “I’d Do Anything For A Blonde Dyke” West wasn’t there to enjoy the moment, but stars ranging from Al Sharpton to Adrian Grenier to Ashanti (and a pregnant Padma Lakshmi!) were in attendance for the screening. Think anyone knew about that $5 million lawsuit against the film?

Check out who else showed up in the gallery below.
