Jennifer Lopez And Casper Smart: United In Sunglasses And Coupledom

Jennifer Lopez has sunglasses on at night. Boyfriend Casper Smart is also wearing shades … because he’s a diva in training? Because you can only date J.Lo if you support her sartorial choices? Because he’s cool by association now? Whatever the reasons are, the sexy twosome made their way to Cipriani’s in New York after Jennifer made an appearance on The Late Show With David Letterman, where she responded to questions about her ex, Marc Anthony, FYI.

When asked what it was like working with Anthony on their show, Q’Viva! The Chosen, she said, “You know, its fun because we know each other so well, but it has its moments. The same things that … didn’t really work sometimes come up. You’re talking and you don’t agree on something and you’re like ‘Oh, be quiet!’ … You’ll see it on the show a little bit!” This is also what we’d like to call her “genteel diva” outfit. Where Would Blake Lively Rank Among Steven Soderbergh’s Leading Ladies?

Steven Soderbergh’s having kind of a crap week, what with disappointing numbers for his latest action flick, Haywire, and the news that Annapurna Pictures backed out of one of his next projects, Side Effects. But we feel more sorry for Blake Lively, as some industry sources are speculating that backers aren’t so sure she can handle the role of a young woman caught in a love triangle with her doctor (Jude Law) and her paroled husband (Channing Tatum). It sounds like a heavy step up from Gossip Girl and Green Lantern, but it wouldn’t be the first time Soderbergh has managed to make a movie star into a serious actress. (One of those actresses, Catherine Zeta-Jones, has signed on for another role in Side Effects, giving ol’ Steven a vote of confidence.) Then again, he’s also had a few misses in that category too. Let’s take a look at what the critics have said about five of his leading ladies’ performances:

1. Jennifer Lopez in Out of Sight: “At the center of the film is the repartee between Jennifer Lopez and George Clooney, and these two have the kind of unforced fun in their scenes together that reminds you of Bogart and Bacall. There’s a seduction scene in which the dialogue is intercut with the very gradual progress of the physical action, and it’s the dialogue that we want to linger on.” — Roger Ebert

“Lopez, for all her Latina-siren voluptuousness, has always projected a contained coolness, and this is the first movie in which it fully works for her. As Sisco is lured into a romance with Foley, you can see her resolve melt in spite of itself.” — Entertainment Weekly

Marc Anthony Dating A Super Hot Venezuelan Model

If you think that Jennifer Lopez is the only one newly separated and having a blast, then think again. Her ex, Marc Anthony, is doing exactly the same. While J.Lo is with Caspar Smart, news has emerged that Marc is dating a gorgeous, 24-year-old Venezuelan model named Shannon de Lima. In fact, the photograph you see above is of them, and Marc posted it on his own Facebook page. The singer also just tweeted his new main squeeze yesterday writing, “A mi Shadelima mi estatua de libertad. Besos bebe,” which translates to, “To my Shadelima, my statue of liberty. Kisses, baby.” We’d say this wasn’t just a rumor. Interestingly enough, both Casper and Shannon are the same age: 24. Do we see a competition happening?

Stars Nominate Charlize Theron, J.Lo, Tilda Swinton For Best-Dressed Of 2011

Are you having trouble deciding who among our list of 30 lovely ladies was the best-dressed celebrity of 2011? You’re not alone. We posed that question to a number of other famous folks on red carpets and in the VH1 offices, and many were stumped. But when they did finally answer, they gave us a few names that didn’t make our original list — and now we realize it easily could have been a top 50. Watch on:

“I always think Charlize looks amazing,” Aisha Tyler told us.

Questlove put his choice in context: “The best-dressed celeb of 2011 was J.Lo, considering the tragedy she went through this year. I feel like she’s put on a brave face and she came out smelling like a rose.”

There was a bit of nepotism at play too: “My wife, Paula Patton,” Robin Thicke declared, and Bill Hader nominated his SNL co-star Kristen Wiig.

The 45 Biggest Celebrity Breakups Of 2011

Love never dies, but it sure took a battering this year! Celebrity couples of every age and stripe dropped like flies in 2011! From long-term unions like Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver, all the way down to the ones that can be measured in a television season (*cough* Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries *cough*), Hollywood could have used a giant couples’ therapy session. There were affairs, secret children, super fights, Twitter drama, ugly court cases and sometimes all of those combined. For these couples it wasn’t domestic bliss but domestic blitz! But don’t feel bad if you’ve made the list, guys. Just think of it as a giant singles ad. (You’re welcome!)

How did we come up with this list of 30 best dressed stars for 2011? Many hours of poring through pictures of premieres, award shows, concerts, events … you name it, we saw it. We also think it’s a pretty diverse list covering our favorites and yours. Will you vote for bombshells like Jennifer Lopez or Sofia Vergara, whose Modern Family co-star, Sarah Hyland, has also made it onto the polls. Or for gamine pixies like Zooey Deschanel, Michelle Williams and Carey Mulligan? If you prefer the ingenues, then Chloe Moretz, Hailee Steinfeld and Jennifer Lawrence are on the list as well. Jennifer Lopez’s New Fling, Casper Smart, In Trouble With The Law

Jennifer Lopez’s new man, Casper Smart, has some explaining to do. Firstly, his real name is Beau Paul Smart, and secondly, he’s got a rap sheet. According to Gossip Cop, her ‘Beau’ has been in trouble with the law several times due to speeding and driving without a valid license, amongst other charges. He was also arrested in April 2010 for illegal drag racing and is scheduled to appear in court to face the music on January 5, 2012, after pleading no contest earlier in March this year. J.Lo’s not going to happy about this at all, because he could receive a maximum sentence of 90 days in jail and a $500 fine.

Thanksgiving Diet: Feast On These Hot Celebs

Relax, we’re not actually going to give you diet tips on this, the most holy of holidays for food lovers. We’re merely suggesting that if you’re anything like us, it’s hard to remember that there will be consequences if we ask for second helpings of mashed potatoes and pie. We slip into a food coma and wake up just long enough to eat the leftovers. So we thought we’d provide this little visual inspiration: 24 hot celebrities — from Britney Spears to Henry Cavill, Pippa Middleton to Hugh Jackman, Adriana Lima to Jennifer Lopez — who have bodies we’d basically kill to have, and who work hard to get them. AMAs Most Questionable Fashions: We Can’t Make Up Our Minds!

Of all the fashions we spotted on the red carpet and onstage at last night’s AMAs, there were some that were clearly awesome and others that hurt our delicate eyes. But then there was the middle ground. The outfits that confuse our sense of right and wrong. Daring, but maybe too much. Awful, but maybe in an interesting way. Gorgeous if only they fit better.

Maybe you can help us out: Were Justin Bieber‘s tiger-striped pants hideous or hilarious? Should we admire J.Lo‘s nude bodysuit on the grounds that it showed off her assets? AMAs Worst Fashion: Christina Aguilera’s Bandage Dress And Other Catastrophes

While some of the stars brought their A fashion game to the AMAs last night, we’re convinced that a few others let their stylists leave for Thanksgiving break early. Surely a professional would prevent Kelly Clarkson and Christina Aguilera from choosing the least flattering gowns for their body type this side of our high school prom. Jennifer Lopez managed to land in our best- and worst-dressed lists (and an upcoming questionable list), thanks to her numerous costume changes and unfortunate decision to continue plugging Fiat in the middle of her performance. Now, we’re pretty sure red-carpet staple Phoebe Price and LMFAO‘s Redfoo were trying to land on this lists, but David Hasselhoff hurt our eyes in those boxers. Keep your pants on, Hoff. Please.
