10 Best-Dressed At The People’s Choice Awards

As expected, there was a lot of traffic on the red carpet for the People’s Choice Awards and we’re happy to report that some new faces popped up on the best-dressed radar. We welcome Ashley Benson into the fold. She wore an adorable, trumpet-skirted, white (with a black underskirt peeking out) Alice + Olivia frock that we now covet. Also wearing the same designer was a very pregnant Alyson Hannigan who wore a form-fitting, embellished sheath that showed off her bump. Her How I Met Your Mother co-star and close friend Cobie Smulders rocked it in a strapless, electric-blue Reema Acra dress. That incredible gold necklace you see on her is by Etro. Blue works like a charm for Cobie — remember her turquoise Grecian gown at the Emmys last year? Julianne Hough is also on the list and she gets the sexiest ever award in a sizzling silver chainmail Kaufman Franco dress. It clung to every curve but covered everything up in the front. But when she turned — bam — totally backless. Faith Hill — who sang at the show — looked like a beautiful, tall drink of water in a tangerine, halter-necked cocktail dress.

Now to the usual suspects. Miley Cyrus and Lea Michele both wore white but to very different effects. Miley wore a very original David Koma dress which had a sheer panel down the front — it didn’t look smutty at all — and a touch of colorful texturing at the hem. Lea wore a spectacular flapper-like Marchesa dress with a draped back. It was possibly our pick for the night, especially paired with her slash of pink lipstick. Kristen Bell chose one of our favorite designers, Valentino, and wore a lovely sheer blouse and skirt in the punchy shade of vermilion. Chloe Moretz looked fabulous in a green-and-black, edgy Proenza Schouler dress — trust her to pick the coolest designers at 14. It’s beyond us. Rounding up the list, and making us want to say “Top of the mornin’ to ya,” is Emma Stone. It’s the most unusual outfit for the awards show, but she nails it. Emma wore head-to-toe Gucci with a shamrock green tuxedo jacket, black cigarette pants and white silk shirt that had two long panels trailing out.

Faith Hill And Tim McGraw Barbies Losing A Shoe Under A Fridge Near You

No more fashioning tiny little cowboy hats out of duct tape for you! EW reports that Faith Hill and Tim McGraw Barbies are due out from Mattell this October. “Tim and Faith sent us photos of every detail” doll designer Linda Kyaw says of the $69.99 doll duo. “including Tim’s complete suit, piece-by-piece; and Faith’s dress, make-up, and clear shots of her hair preference.” Let’s hope Faith’s hair preference is “hacked apart by a pair of safety scissors and colored in with watermelon-scented marker,” because that’s all our Barbies sported!

“The couple knew exactly what they wanted to see in doll form, and they helped us achieve the best possible results,” Kyaw explains. We were kidding about all the Barbie abuse, of course; clearly the dolls are collector’s items only. No one needs to see Tim McGraw’s face get chewed on by the family dachshund or Faith Hill’s leg get jammed in a heating grate, not even in toy form.

Gwyneth Paltrow Goes Commando At Country Strong Screening

We were totally planning to write about the puffy pink party dress Leighton Meester wore to last night’s Country Strong screening in LA, until we took a closer look at what Gwyneth Paltrow was wearing. Looking at her from the left, it appears to be a bland, body-covering tarp. But catch from the back right and…WOW. Did Gwynnie really go commando to pull this look off? If anything needed to be country strong, it was the string holding this outfit together.

Nicole Kidman Leads The Parade At The American Country Music Awards

Nicole Kidman may have been at the American Country Music Awards with husband Keith Urban last night, but steel guitars and fiddles are the last thing her dresss has us hearing (did she leave the baton and majorette hat in the limo?). Thankfully, most of the gaudiness at the Vegas soiree was appropriate to the genre, with plenty of grand gowns (Taylor Swift! Carrie Underwood!) and sharp suits (you the man, Randy Travis). Kristen Bell‘s slinky number certainly stuck out (as did the presence of Kristen Bell), but we’re not complaining. See all these stars and more in the gallery below.

Iggy And Abba Storm The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame

The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame got a whole more rockin’ this year…and a whole lot less. While punk godfathers and long-time shut-outs Iggy Pop & The Stooges finally gained entry at last night’s induction ceremony (“Roll over, Woodstock. We won.” If you say so, naked guy), so did ABBA—undeniably a pop monolith, but not exactly “rock.” “I’m very angry that Madonna got in before us,” kidded Anni-Frid Lyngstad, acknowledging the 2008 inductee who coincidentally had the Stooges perform in her honor at that year’s ceremony. ABBA chose Faith Hill as their surrogate. Again: not rock.

Stars Get Sexy, Stylish For Cancer Benefit

Some of the biggest women in entertainment came out for the 13th annual “Unforgettable Evening” benefit in LA last night, raising money for the EIF’s Women’s Cancer Research Fund. Among the stars present were Reese Witherspoon (making her first red carpet appearance since splitting with Jake Gyllenhaal), Taylor Swift, Olivia Wilde, Christina Applegate, Julianne Hough, and Faith Hill, whose hubby Tim McGraw posed hatless for a change. As slinky and stylish as Swift and Wilde were, the most striking lady of the night may have been Rita Wilson, who sported some serious shoe bling next to husband Tom Hanks. Britney Lights Up

The next stop on Britney Spears‘ composed comeback tour: Rockefeller Center. The pop star will bring her Circus act to New York City’s famous tree lighting ceremony on December 3rd. “Details of her appearance are still being finalized, but she’s confirmed to appear,” Life & Style reveals. Britney will join a star-studded line-up including Beyonce, Faith Hill, the Jonas Brothers, David Cook, Harry Connick, Jr, Tony Bennett, and Rascal Flatts. Just another boring day for Brit. Faith Hill Poses In A Bikini For 41st Birthday

Eff the Mercedes - Faith Hill has given herself a real birthday present this year: her ‘new’ hot bod. Scandalist is a bit perplexed because Faith has consistently been gorgeous since she first yee-hawed onto the country music scene, but if a girl wants to tone up, a girl’s gonna tone up! After her 40th birthday, Faith decided to take her workout to the next level with pilates, and she’s currently flaunting her goods on the cover of Shape magazine. The country star reveals, “It was so hard, but ultimately so worth it. My core is much stronger, and my arms are more toned. In fact, wearing a bikini on a magazine cover is my 41st birthday present to myself.”
