Demi Lovato Is All Grown Up And Really Loves Lollipops

Well, if her past year of sexy performances and videos haven’t proved to you that Demi Lovato is no longer a sweet little Disney girl, her shoot with Tyler Shields might. It’s not on the level of Shields’ Lindsay Lohan vampire murder scene shoot, but it’s provocative nonetheless. She seduces a lollipop, smashes a mirror with a hammer, dons a ’50s pinup wig and, in a simple, bold shot, looks quite daringly at the camera with her hair slicked back, a dress falling off her shoulders, one eyebrow raised and bright-red lips parted in a way that is definitely not suited for the typical Sonny With a Chance viewer.

“Doing a crazy photoshoot with the infamous/brilliant @tylershields.. Beyond excited.. But um I hope I survive……. ” Demi tweeted earlier this month, and later marveled at the glass in her hair.

People’s Choice Awards Cutest Moments

The People have spoken. They apparently like Supernatural more than The Vampire Diaries, but we’ll forgive them for that, because they made some other good choices that wound up giving us a pretty cute People’s Choice Awards on Wednesday night. Like any awards show, there was singing, dancing and overly scripted jokes. Also there were kisses and giggles and sweet thank yous. We thought we’d highlight a few of our faves:

10. We saw Hunger Games star Jennifer Lawrence bonding backstage with co-star Liam Hemsworth’s gf Miley Cyrus. Good thing they get along nicely!

9. Emma Stone, daring to be different in her awesome green tux jacket, managed to make a clichéd message sound sweet: ” You have to stay true to yourself and don’t be afraid even if people say what you do isn’t cool.”

8. Paul Wesley called Ian Somerhalder “Smolderholder” as he opened the envelope for the Favorite Comedy Movie award.

7. Lea Michele pointed out her cousin in the audience WHO LOOKS EXACTLY LIKE LEA MICHELE.

6. Ian Somerhalder was sitting next to Nina Dobrev when she won Favorite TV Drama Actress, but he tweeted her anyway: Congratulations Nina!!! You won!!!! People DO like you;) You rock babe, truly.”

5. Chloe Moretz realized she’s too young to really say “when I was a kid” and then she ended her speech like she was on the phone with all of us, “All right, bye.” Bye, Chloe, see you soon!

Demi Lovato Talks Rehab, “Brutal” Fights With Miley Cyrus In Seventeen

Demi Lovato is on the February cover of Seventeen magazine looking fresh and healthy. We love the sunkissed skin and tousled hair. She opens up about what she went through last year with rehab and what led to admitting herself into the treatment center, saying, “I’m not going to lie. I was self-medicating. I was doing things like drinking and using [drugs], like a lot of teens do to numb their pain.” But she adds that she is doing really well now — and it’s certainly showing, Demi — by telling the magazine, “I don’t drink, I don’t do drugs, I don’t throw up after my meals, I don’t starve myself. There’s nothing that I do that I feel ashamed of.” Demi’s really been on a roll and even made it to our 30 Best Dressed Stars of 2011. Did you vote for her?

Interestingly enough, Demi also touches upon her diametrically different relationship with her two besties — Selena Gomez and Miley Cyrus. ”There were two people [who were there for me]. No matter how many times we fight, we will always be in each others’ lives,” Demi says adding, “[Miley Cyrus and I] are very strong-headed, so when we fight, it’s brutal and we’re like, ‘We’re never going to be friends again!’ Then two days later, we’re like, ‘I love you and I miss you!’ ” It’s clearly a different story with Selena, as she revealed, “Selena and I, we never fight. She’s not a confrontational person at all. Both of them will never leave my life no matter what happens, because we’ve been through so much together.”

Demi Lovato To Keanu Reeves: 10 Headbangin’ Celebs On National Metal Day

In case you didn’t realize, VH1 Classic has declared today, 11/11/11, National Metal Day. We’re sure we’re not the only ones to blast Mastodon in our headphones while everyone assumes we’re typing away to the sweet sounds of Britney Spears. Not every metalhead wears leather pants, T-shirts and a scowl, right? Over the years, several surprising celebs have come out of the closet as fans of the hard stuff — and not just when those Iron Maiden shirts were really popular at Hot Topic.

Years ago, MTV discovered that Demi Lovato was a serious fan of black metallers Dimmu Borgir among other groups we’re sure never appeared on Radio Disney. Kat Dennings likes to tweet about knitting while listening to metal. This 10-minute video of a tipsy Kelly Clarkson rocking out onstage at a Metal Skool show in 2006 is truly endearing. Celebrities Gets Glittery At The 2011 Latin Grammys

The 2011 Latin Grammys were held at the Mandalay Bar Resort and Casino in Las Vegas last night. And it seems that sequins and metallics were the order of the night. Zoe Saldana wore an emerald green column by Elie Saab (à la Gwyneth Paltrow at the Bambi awards, but minus the cleavage). Shakira — who was honored as the Person of the Year — looked ethereal in a gold embroidered gown with a jewel-encrusted bodice, while Sofia Vergara wore a silver strapless gown by Reem Acra. Paulina Rubio wore two outfits and both were heavy on the hardware. She wore a metallic silver gown on the green carpet, and put on a violet (with gold highlights) short, skintight romper to perform in.

The only one who didn’t get the memo was Demi Lovato, but she outshone everyone regardless in a plum gown that plunged down to her navel. It nearly popped our eyeballs. Muy caliente! Also, the color Demi wore matched Wilmer Valderrama’s shirt. Cue eyebrow raising. Our gallery below has all the action, including gentlemen like Marc Anthony, Pitbull, Usher and Taboo.

Demi Lovato Goes Cherry Red In Latest Stage Of Her Hair-volution

Demi Lovato is a woman of many looks, but the actress/singer has at least one style constant: perpetually awesome hair. “Just woke up from a nap.. Can’t believe I fell asleep before tweeting this……….. ” Demi tweeted, along with a photo of her new Jessica Rabbit locks. We love a style transformation as much as anyone, which is why we decided to look back on Demi Lovato‘s hair-volution. Bangs or no bangs, from dark to blond and back again, the fierceness is strong in this one.

Demi Lovato Is Happier … And Super Comfy

In this week’s Parade magazine, Demi Lovato talks again about how much healthier she feels as she promotes album #3, Unbroken, which debuted at #4 on last week’s Billboard 200. “I’m in a much happier and healthier place now, so I’ll be able to decide when I need time off. It’s a different era in my career. I’m sure that if I need time off I’ll be able to speak about it and I’ll take a step back.”

Justin Bieber Rents Arena To Watch Titanic With Selena Gomez

Although only seventeen, Justin Bieber has just raised the bar for date nights, and revolutionized the concept of “dinner and a movie” forever. The teen singer rented out all of L.A.’s Staples Center on Friday night to watch Titanic with his lady love, Selena Gomez. Somewhere, James Cameron is shedding a single tear. Friends of the Biebs told TMZ that he got the idea after watching Mr. Deeds, in which Adam Sandler has a surprise date with Winona Ryder at an empty Madison Square Garden. But while Sandler only plays a romantic millionaire in the movie, Bieber is the real deal and brought the fantasy to life…with a few touches of his own thrown in.

The couple began their evening by attending a Demi Lovato concert at the nearby Nokia Theater. Once the show ended, Justin reportedly told Selena to follow him through the underground tunnel that connects the theater to the massive Staples Center. They arrived to find themselves alone in the 20,000 seat arena, with the lights dimmed and a candle-lit table for two set on the court. The love birds were served a dinner of steak and pasta catered by the venue’s exclusive Lexus Club, and when they finished eating Titanic started playing on the Jumbotron.

You hear that? That’s the sound of a million girls swooning, and a million guys screaming in frustration. The best part is that Justin didn’t even have to pay to use the arena. That’s what happens when your concerts fill the place three times in a row. We’ve gotta hand it to the kid, he’s got game. Leo may be king of the world, but Biebs is king of the date nights. Well played.
