Looks like Matthew Knowles, Beyoncé’s father and manager, seems to be going a little John Edwards on us. First he admitted to being engaged in an extramarital affair, and now his mistress has just given birth and claims the child is his, which he denies. If this plays out like the Edwards scandal, eventually the truth will come out and Knowles will have yet another child’s career to manage. For now though, he’s denying paternity and has offered to take a DNA to prove it.

Knowles told E! News that, despite the lengthy affair (which we assume was a cause of Knowles’ divorce from wife Tina last year) and despite all the, you know, doin’ it, he has no idea what’s going on with this kid. “I know about as much as you do,” he told the news outlet. “Last week, they said it was a girl; this week they said it was a boy. We do have a court date, but none of that means anything until DNA testing is done.” E! News actually appears to know more than Knowles, confirming that the child is a boy. The child’s mother, Alexsandra Wright, is seeking someone who can pay her for her telephone bills, automobills, and child-supportamobills.

So this is what Beyonce wears to bed with her husband Jay-Z every night. How...common of her! The singer strolled out on to her balcony in Brazil to wave hello to fans in a crop top and lil’ sleeping shorts, looking almost like us in our over-sized tee and boxer shorts belonging to our ex. The only thing we like more than her outfit is that the super-famous singer had no problem greeting fans after just rolling out of bed. We’d like to see Lady Gaga try that!

Jay-Z may have an Empire state of mind, but he’s still a little squeamish when it comes to the heart. Beyonce revealed to Access Hollywood that the rapper-CEO was taken aback when she personally thanked him for love and support while accepting a Grammy at last weekend’s ceremony. “He was shocked!” she explained. “He was just like, ‘What did you say?’ I was just like, ‘What did I just do? No, I didn’t just say that,’ I was so happy I could have said anything.” Guys, guys, it’s not like she pulled a Kirstie Alley and thanked him for “giving me the big one” or anything. Lots of people thank their spouses for love and support. It doesn’t mean Jay-Z is a softie! You can be king of the streets and love your wife too.

Besides, if Jay has anything to be embarrassed about, it’s what he said to her after the show. “He said you have six Grammys and you smell good,” she told the reporter. Um, wow. That’s some debonair s— right there, Hova. “You have Grammy, you smell good, me like you.” And they say romance grows stale after marriage.

Lady Gaga will open this Sunday’s Grammy Awards show, according to the freaky fashionplate’s pal Perez Hilton. The honor is only one part of the ceremony’s confirmation of her pop princess moment: Elton John is reportedly set to perform a duet with Gaga on the show. “Elton and Lady Gaga on the same stage is sure to create fireworks,” a source told Hollyscoop. “It could be one of the most memorable Grammy performances of all time.” The show’s producers should certainly hope so—ratings for the ceremony—not unlike record sales—have been on a general decline over the last decade. But even if we watch, can Gaga hope to top Fever Ray’s face-melting acceptance speech in Sweden?

Other stars set to perform this weekend include Mary J. Blige, Bon Jovi, Drake, Eminem, Green Day, Lady Antebellum, Lil’ Wayne, Maxwell, Pink, Zac Brown Band and Gaga’s fellow Best Album nominees Beyonce, Black Eyed Peas, Dave Matthews Band and Taylor Swift. Celine Dion, Jennifer Hudson, Smokey Robinson, Carrie Underwood and Usher will also take part in a 3-D tribute To Michael Jackson. Get your glasses ready!

Now that Beyonce and Madonna have been announced as performers, is there anyone left to add to the Hope for Haiti Now lineup? Kanye West seems plausible, but allegedly his mouth is too big. Lady Gaga is another possibility, but she’d probably distract people from donating by wearing a diorama of an earthquake scene on her head.

In addition to performances by Madge and Bey, more than 100 of the “biggest names in film, television and music” will be on hand to either perform, speak or answer phones. We’ve already listed out most of the big names, but there are some notable additions that have just been announced: Haitian artist Emeline Michel, Clint Eastwood, Denzel Washington, Tom Hanks and Will Smith with Muhammad Ali. The event will air Friday at 8PM EST on VH1, MTV and just about every other channel on your TV. Brace yourself for the biggest telethon in history, and don’t forget to have your wallet on hand.

The official Hope for Haiti Now telethon lineup has just been announced, and this show is going to be even bigger than we had imagined. Rarely, if ever, have so many of the world’s biggest musicians mobilized so quickly with Hollywood elite (plus President Clinton and Oprah) to lend a helping hand in a time of tragedy. If only George Clooney, the mastermind behind the telethon, had been responsible for the relief efforts after Hurricane Katrina!

We already reported that the Hope for Haiti Now lineup will include Robert Pattinson, Bono, Jay-Z, Jennifer Hudson, Alicia Keys, Christina Aguilera, Sting, Taylor Swift, Bruce Springsteen and Shakira. Now we can provide the full, official lineup. Of particular interest will be headliners Jay-Z and Bono (a rock/rap collaboration for the ages) and Justin Timberlake.

Beyoncé had an intense 2009 and is pretty burned out as a result. You’d be tired too if you had an 11-month touring schedule, were upstaged by your male “Single Ladies” dancers on SNL, performed for Barack Obama’s inauguration, and had to allow Taylor Swift to finish her VMA acceptance speech all in one calendar year. Now that it’s 2010, Ms. Knowles is taking some much-needed time off.

Beyoncé has confirmed that once her I am... world tour ends next month, she’ll be taking some “me” time, explaining “It’s definitely time to take a break, to recharge my batteries. I’d like to take about six months and not go into the studio. I need to just live life, to be inspired by things again. I’m going to do random things. I want to go to restaurants, maybe take a class and see some movies and Broadway shows.” And maybe get pregnant? Because seriously, the spawn of Beyoncé and Jay-Z would probably be the most musically-gifted child ever.

Mirror, mirror on the wall which celebrity has the most desirable body of them all? 2009 was all about the curves! In a recent poll, Kate Winslet was named as the most desirable, while curvy stars Halle Berry, Cheryl Cole, Beyonce and Lily Allen made the cut. Bringing up the rear were teeny tiny celebs Victoria Beckham and Kate Moss.

Dr. Jacquie Lavin, who commissioned the YouGov poll, says, “It shows a positive shift that women are more likely to see Kate Winslet and Kelly Brook as the ideal body shape rather than Kate Moss or Victoria Beckham.”
