She gyrated her bare midriff for “Hips Don’t Lie.” She grinded with Beyonce for “Beautiful Liar.” But Shakira’s new video ratchets up the sex factor times ten. In “She Wolf,” the Latina bombshell dances in a cage (repeat: a cage!) wearing a barely-there leotard (repeat: barely there!) and sings about staring across the bar at her “prey” (i.e., men she’ll soon devour). Of course, there’s more to her new electronic club banger than this snapshot interpretation would suggest.

Speaking to MTV News, Shakira explains: “She Wolf is the woman at daytime and the animal at night. She is a woman who knows what she wants and she goes for it. She’s in touch with her most subconscious desires and she satisfies them — and she defends her freedom and her liberties and she does it with her teeth and claws, like a wild animal.” Oh Shakira, you make a man want to speak Spanish howl.

Maybe Beyonce could lend cash-strapped Lady Gaga a few notes? The superstar has topped a new list of the highest-earning stars under 30, earning an amazing $87 million in 2008 alone. Yes, that’s in just one year. Gah.

Bey’s earnings dwarfed those of number four on the list, Britney Spears, who raked in a frankly paltry $35 million, and 16-year-old Miley Cyrus, who really must make more effort, as she made only $25 million and came in seventh. Other Hollywood glamazons, like Heidi Montag and  Katherine Heigl, need the aid of some concealer, mascara, and lipstick to push them to camera-ready status. And for those stars who aren’t naturally radiant, the paparazzi show no mercy. They’ll relentlessly snap photos of celebs exiting a gym, finishing a triathlon, or disembarking from a transcontinental flight. These unflattering shots end up all over the gossip rags, making us commoners feel better about the bags under our eyes and less-than-perfect skin. You know it’s a recession when Beyonce starts giving concert tickets away for next to nothing. The singer has joined the likes of No Doubt, U2, and Dave Matthews Band in offering her fans discounted tickets to her upcoming summer tour.

According to her label, B will be selling the last 2000 tickets to each North American show for just $20 a pop. It’s not like she needs much money these days  - have you see her engagement ring? In addition to scoring cheap seats, fans will have the opportunity to help others with a food drive at each concert, created by Beyonce and Hamburger Helper. With her shoes and bag adding some on-trend sparkle, Bey keeps it cool tone-wise with the rest of the outfit, wearing grey leggings and a summery white vest and jacket. Beyonce Knowles has managed to become one of the biggest global stars in the world without anyone really knowing very much about her at all (take note, Lindsay Lohan!) But in a new interview with the U.K. Times newspaper, she lets her famous guard down a bit and reveals that she has to work hard to avoid becoming a lunatic superstar.

“I meet celebrities, and at one point, I thought, like, everybody was crazy. Then I met some really level-headed, grounded people, who are more grounded and cool than people who don’t have all the pressure of celebrity. And I think my way of meditation, of keeping my sanity, is from the way that I analyze. It’s really easy to fall into your own world, really, really easy. Every day, it’s something that you have to be aware of, because there are always people who are opportunists, who will tell you anything,” she says.

Bey admits later on to being “more of a control freak than most” who’s trying “not to put anything on my calendar for a year from now — because I’ve never not had that.” Sounds like a good idea. Remember the whole  fake Beyonce singing incident that went down last week? Well the songbird is once again the butt of a bad prank, executed this time around by an Austrian radio station. They apparently called up the Albertina museum in Vienna to arrange a private tour for “Beyonce” and then sent over a body double to marvel at the masterpieces.

The museum fell for it, but eventually figured out they had been duped. “Her face was extremely similar, but her body was totally different,” said their spokesperson.
