Uma Thurman Looks A Bit Off-Kilter On The Cover Of Harper’s Bazaar

We’ve always been huge fans of Uma Thurman. The tall, blond actress just brings that something extra and isn’t your typical cookie-cutter Hollywood pretty. So when we hear she’s on the cover of a magazine, we expect that certain je na sais quois she has to shine through. A face with that bone structure can’t photograph badly, right? Wrong. Here she is on the February cover of Harper’s Bazaar UK — one of the first of the crop of February magazine issues we’re expecting — and she looks … off. We can’t quite put our finger on what it is, but something about her face doesn’t look quite okay. Is it the nose or the mouth? Help us out here, and tell us what you think. Either way, we’re not happy.

The 2011 UNICEF Snowflake Ball Has A Full Red Carpet

What a charming name for a ball. The 2011 UNICEF Snowflake Ball took place at Cipriani’s, New York, and Sarah Jessica Parker really took it upon herself to dress accordingly, looking like a very convincing snowflake in a white silk, cut-work and feather trimmed Louis Vuitton dress — part of the same collection Kate Moss closed earlier this year. Looking at lot more slinky were Uma Thurman and Angie Harmon, who nailed it in a skintight green dress and a shimmery halter gown, respectively.

Other celebrities included couples like Kevin Jonas and wife Danielle (who also looked great in a red gown slit high up the thigh) and Mark Ruffalo with his delightfully named wife, Sunrise. Vera Farmiga, Zoe Kravitz and Natasha Bedingfield were also spotted, the latter two wearing color-blocked black and white. To check it all out, click through our gallery below.

Stars On The AmFar Cinema Against Aids 2011 Red Carpet

This is the life! The eighteenth annual amfAR Cinema Against AIDS gala took place yesterday at the Cannes Film Festival. The super schmancy event was held at the Hotel Du Cap-Eden-Roc in Antibes, France and involved the usual — gowns and jewelry worth approximately three of our lifetimes! Kirsten Dunst showed up looking as fresh as a daisy, completely unaffected by the rumor that her nighttime partying kept Brangelina up all night.

Janet Jackson looked pretty svelte and rocked some bright blue nail polish! Irina Shayk showed up with a slit cut up till there, while cuties Dev Patel and Frieda Pinto snuggled up for the cameras. Gavin Rossdale and Gwen Stefani added a bit of punk to the proceedings while old hands Goldie Hawn and Brooke Shields looked flawless in dull gold and white respectively. Uma Thurman Sports A Split At Cannes: Too Much Or Just Right?

Uma Thurman is getting high marks for the Versace dress she wore to the opening ceremony of the Cannes Film Festival yesterday, but most of the pics being shared show Uma with legs (and gown) closed. Is it because of how much thigh the center split of her gown showed otherwise? The dress definitely made her the belle of this year’s jury (Jude Law didn’t stand a chance!), but do you think fashion watchers are looking at this thing head-on?

Uma Thurman Brings Sexy Back At The Ceremony Premiere

Not that sexy could ever go away completely with a woman like Uma Thurman, but lately it’s been on a little bit of a time out. Recently she’s gone the who earthy-but-unkempt route and we were getting so tired of her looking scraggly. That situation has been remedied as of now, considering she pulled out all the stops at the Ceremony premiere in Hollywood.

This metallic trench-coat inspired dress looks like liquid gold on her. And can we just say, with that fabric and that shine, you can’t have an ounce of extra cellulite on you, or it’ll show. Not that Uma needs to worry about that. We also love the Jimmy Choo stilettos. Also starring with Uma in the movie is Michael Angarano — also known as Kristen Stewart‘s ex-boyfriend — and BTW, we still wonder how the relationship proceeded from him to Rpattz? Bryce Dallas Howard also came to the premiere looking ethereal in an onion pink Reem Acra dress which you can check out in the gallery below.

Foot Fetishes And Questionable Fashion Choices: The Tarantino Roast Story

Quentin Tarantino may have been the target at last night’s Friar’s Club Roast in New York City, but some of the guests made it pretty hard not to become a target too. Neve Campbell inexplicably came dressed as Carmen Santiago, while Sarah Silverman‘s schizophrenic power-suit blazer and furry skirt just left us scratching our heads. But the worst was in store for long standing Tarantino leading lady, Uma Thurman. Not only did she show up seemingly dressed as a colonial school teacher, but she and Quentin chugged wine out of her high heel shoes. Seriously, what is it with this guy and feet! Uma Thurman’s Super-Crazy Stalker Is Back

Holy crap, this dude’s scary! Jack Jordan, Uma Thurman‘s crazy stalker-of-old, is back. He apparently contacted her repeatedly last weekend, which goes against the five-year protection statute the actress got in court against him in 2008. The former mental patient (he’s both schizophrenic and bi-polar) apparently snapped because of her boyfriend, Arpad Busson. Jordan rang her from his home state in Maryland to tell Thurman that Busson was not good enough for her. In his delusional mind, Thurman should marry him, the man who’s been harassing for her the past couple of years. Crazy-bones!

A source explains, “Uma had a criminal complaint prepared against this guy and filed on Oct. 31. No arrests have been made, but he is wanted here. If he shows, he’s getting locked up.” And for good reason. Jordan was found outside Uma’s apartment in Greenwich Village three years ago and had supposedly been stalking and creeping her out for two years prior to that through email and letters. He had threatened to commit suicide if she ever dated anyone else.

At the 2008 trial, where a terrified Uma testified, he said, “My greatest wish is that I had known sooner that I was putting fear into the heart of [Thurman].” All the evidence stacked up against him was enough to issue the five-year protection court order, but now that he’s violated it… he’s walking a very thin line. If Jordan takes one step into New York, he’ll wind up in the slammer.

Uma Thurman Movie Might Need To Borrow A Couple Bucks, It Had A Rough Weekend

Uma Thurman‘s latest movie, Motherhood, came and went in the U.S. last fall. The film grossed just under $100,000 during its run in theaters here in October, small potatoes when you compare it to Thurman’s previous films, but we guess people just haven’t forgiven her for My Super Ex-Girlfriend. People in the U.K. were even less excited to see the new film though, because on its opening day this past Sunday, it made £9, which means one person saw it that day. ONE person. On the bright side, at least they didn’t have to deal with anyone texting or talking the whole time. The total take for the weekend was £88, or about $131. That means nine people in all of England saw the film. Producer Jana Edelbaum, after being notified of her film’s losses said “We must have broken a new record for grosses.” Indeed.

Unfortunately for the film, it’s going to go down not just as that crappy Uma Thurman movie, but as the movie that drew an audience we can literally count on both our hands, which means that rather than being forgotten, it might go the way of Glitter and end up as a punchline for years to come. Uma Thurman To Marry This Weekend

Uma Thurman is set to get married to mega-loaded Arpad Busson this weekend in a “low-key” ceremony, according to reports. (We’re not sure if her idea of low-key is ours — can’t see them with a sandwich buffet and iPod disco.) The couple is one of the most well-connected in Britain and America, although Arpad has said to be hit hard by the economic downturn and his investments with fraudster Bernie Madoff. Their joint wealth is now down to $124m, according to the Sunday Times Rich List. How terrible!

They’ve both got romantic pasts, too: Uma was previously married to British actor Gary Oldman and Gen-X icon Ethan Hawke, who’s now married to their former nanny. And Arpad has two kids with Elle MacPherson, who’s been linked with Guy Ritchie, Madonna’s ex. Who’s dating….oh, you get the idea. [Photo: Splash News Online]
