Attendees at CAA’s Super Bowl bash in Miami Saturday may have been amused to see Alex Rodriguez grinding on the dancefloor with Cameron Diaz, but at least one tabloid has stepped up with an anonymous source to suggest this was more than an innocent flirtation. “A-Rod and Cameron have been totally hooking up,” some bean-spiller totally told OK! Magazine. Not that they can say when and where the pair have been sharing these secret rendezvous. After all, hasn’t she been busy squatting on top of co-star Tom Cruise on the set of Knight And Day when not practicing yoga in the Caribbean?

The who-dated-who web is getting pretty tangled if these two are actually an item, as the Enquirer suggested Kate Hudson tried to get over her split with A-Rod by macking on Justin Timberlake at the Screen Actors Guild Awards. Timberlake, of course, is a long-time “friend” of Hudson’s who dated Miss Diaz before hooking up with the now-long-suffering Jessica Biel. Complicating things further, A-Rod’s ex Madonna straddled Justin on stage more than once when hawking “4 Minutes” in 2008. Whether or not anything untoward has happened between them, A-Rod and Cammy certainly have plenty in common.

Foolish athletes! Don’t you know who the real stars are?! While the football players did all the work on the field, stars like Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, Tom Cruise, and Ashton Kutcher showed up at the Super Bowl to hog all the attention and bask in the glow of the photographers’ cameras.

Kim Kardashian was there too, but she stayed surprisingly hidden during the game. Surely she was nervous watching her boyfriend Reggie Bush help to snag a win for New Orleans and probably wanted to bite her nails in private. But once Reggie and the Saints landed the trophy, ol’ Kimmy was back in front of the cameras, celebrating on the field like she had just won the game and posting a bunch of exclamation-filled tweets. Tom Cruise - a spy? No, it’s not the plot of Mission Impossible #1997301 -  Suri’s dad is being sued by magazine editor Michael Davis Sapir, who claims Tom hired a private investigator to illegally wiretap his phone. Michael is accusing Tom, attorney Bert Fields, and jailed private investigator Anthony Pellicano of conspiring to spy on him.

This is not the first time Tom and Michael have been at odds. In 2001, Tom sued Michael for $100 million after Michael claimed to have a video of the A-List actor engaging in homosexual activities.  That lawsuit was settled later that year. Now Michael is suing for $5 million, and Tom’s team is vehemently denying his claims. “The allegations are absolute garbage. We did not even hire Pellicano to work on the Sapir case,” Bert says.

Besides, who needs a P.I. when you have Suri Cruise? She is always sneaking into things, and although she smiles through her cupcake frosting, that little Scientolotot is probably really the one behind this whole operation. When her parents weren’t looking, Suri snuck out to the spy shop and picked up a couple wireless spy cameras and listening devices and set up a little private investigation office in the basement. Nick Jonas and his new band The Administration have just been announced as the official house band of the Critics’ Choice Movie Awards, and yes, we are squealing. In fact, we’ve been squealing since we sat down with the brooding 17-year-old to chat with him about his new album (We’re way older than Nick, and we’re digging his new song. Who knew?), what it means to be raw and vulnerable as a teen, his determination to make Hollywood A-Listers dance at the CCMAs, and of course, his picks for the best movies of the year.

And because we know you’re curious: yes, he’s hot in person. Like, really hot. As if that wasn’t enough, he was wearing boots like Jake Ryan in Sixteen Candles (which was made before he was born). Needless to say, we’re totally smitten.

We don’t know what’s more ridiculous about this picture: Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise being caught mid fake laugh, or their daughter Suri’s gaudy Spanish dress. If we didn’t know that the Cruises’ bank account was stuffed with billions of dollar bills, we’d assume this was just another American family getting their gauche on while visiting Spain. We’d certainly be just as excited to spot Maggie Gyllenhaal on the street as we would to see Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes. The paparazzi however…not so much. Gyllenhaal recently told E! that one day when she and hubby Peter Sarsgaard were sitting in a café in New York, the paparazzi seemed to hover around them. “There were a ton of paparazzi in the café with their huge cameras and laptops. I was like, ‘Peter, oh my god, they are so into us. They’re swarming us. We are so important.’”

Turns out though that none of the shots the paps were taking were of the low-key indie couple, they had their sights set higher. Gyllenhaal explained, “Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise were living on that street. It was the winter, so the photographers would go into the café to download their pictures.”

Gyllenhaal flies under the radar as it is and didn’t mind the lack of attention. Besides, she’s allowed to have the last laugh - she gets to live a relatively tabloid-free life, and she replaced Katie in The Dark Knight. Sounds like a win-win situation to us.  [Photos: GettyImages]

Katie Holmes made a rare solo appearance on the red carpet to promote the Dizzy Feet Foundation, which helps underprivileged kids get dance training, in Hollywood last night. Tom Cruise is off in Europe filming Knight And Day with Cameron Diaz, and it looks like he took her assistant with him—her white jacket and short black skirt were stylish enough, but her hair was giving her grief on stage and off. Marrying Cruise is supposed to make you more glamorous, Katie!

Though E! says Holmes is eager for her hubby to judge alongside fellow Dizzy Feet backer Nigel Lythgoe on So You Can Think You Dance, her quote (”He would be great…he really would”) is vague enough we’re guessing she isn’t the one who brought it up. It’s not like she even knows when she might be back on the show. “I don’t know [if I'll be on again]…I don’t know, but it was a great time.” If only Tom was there to field these hard questions.

And the Spanish thought a stampede of Scientologists was the worst thing that could happen when Tom Cruise rolled into town to film his new movie co-starring Cameron Diaz. Not so fast! Seven bulls escaped the Knight and Day film set and ran through nearby streets of Cadiz, Spain, injuring two women. Movie director Jose Luiz Escolar said he does not know how the animals escaped. What?! He “didn’t know”? Two women were injured, buddy, grab the bull by the horns, take responsibility, and apologize. Come on Jose! When they first hooked up, the Dawson’s Creek actress and the older, divorced Scientology-loving Top Gun star seemed like an odd match, but Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are still going strong. The parents of Suri just celebrated their third wedding anniversary! On Saturday night, Tom surprised Katie by booking the entire second floor of Bricco Italian restaurant in Boston. The couple dined on house-made pasta, Chilean sea bass, and Wagyu steak and “held hands the entire night.” So far so good!
