Does The Avengers Feature A Surprise Superhero Cameo?

Note: This post contains an potential spoiler for the upcoming Avengers movie. If you aren’t interested in knowing the identity of the highly questionable, potentially epic superhero who allegedly makes a cameo in the summer blockbuster, please take a moment to appreciate the skintight bodysuits sported by Chris Evans and Scarlett Johansson in this photo, and then LOOK AWAY! OK, maybe a few more seconds on the bodysuits and then NOW! LOOK AWAY NOW!

According to Avengers actress Jenny Agutter (billed as Female council member on IMDB), the cross-over character is none other than …Spider-Man? Wha? Huh? Buh? “I’m sworn to secrecy. I wasn’t allowed a script until I got there, and when I did I felt like a complete child being on big sets and a huge parking lot full of Winnebagos,” Agutter gushed to The Radio Times … before revealing that one of those Winnebagos is currently housing the web-slinger. Why do we have a feeling that Agutter is currently dodging a gigantic mystical hammer? Or at least an enraged phone call from Avengers director Joss Whedon? Is this news the fulfillment of all your fanboy and -girl dreams, or is this a more terrible idea than casting Topher Grace as Venom in Spider-Man 3? In case you had forgotten, that was a terrible idea.

The 30 Best Dressed Stars Of 2011: Vote For Your Favorite Now!

How did we come up with this list of 30 best dressed stars for 2011? Many hours of poring through pictures of premieres, award shows, concerts, events … you name it, we saw it. We also think it’s a pretty diverse list covering our favorites and yours. Will you vote for bombshells like Jennifer Lopez or Sofia Vergara, whose Modern Family co-star, Sarah Hyland, has also made it onto the polls. Or for gamine pixies like Zooey Deschanel, Michelle Williams and Carey Mulligan? If you prefer the ingenues, then Chloe Moretz, Hailee Steinfeld and Jennifer Lawrence are on the list as well. Elle Fanning And Scarlett Johansson: Sugar Vs. Spice

The premiere for We Bought a Zoo happened last night in New York. The two leading ladies of the film — Scarlett Johansson and Elle Fanning — both looked lovely, but could not have been more different sartorially. Granted there are quite a few years between them, but we know Elle’s going to carry on being on the outré side of fashion with brands like Rodarte and Marc Jacobs already casting her in their campaigns.

Scarlett looks equally at home in designer wear, but can’t help looking like a bombshell in everything she puts on. No exceptions for this black Dolce & Gabbana frock that showed off a sliver of skin right underneath the bodice. Elle, on the other hand, looked very fashionable but very sweet in this ivory Louis Vuitton dress and heels. They may be poles apart, but which pole do you prefer?

ScarJo Says Marriage To Ryan Reynolds “The Best Thing I Ever Did”

It’s even almost a year since Ryan Reynolds and Scarlett Johansson announced their divorce, which means almost 365 days of them living out The Best Divorce Of All Time. Okay, sure, we’re certain both of ScarJo and Ryan spent plenty of hours crying on the bathroom floor, but despite the public nature of their split, both actors have been champs at being civil in public. “I’m a big believer that when something feels right, you should do it,” Scarlett explains in this mouth’s Cosmo. “I’m a big believer in instinct. Getting married was the right thing to do because it was natural. It grew out of a romance and love and a desire to have a future with somebody, and I was very fortunate that I married somebody who turned out to be the person I thought he would be.” She then defended Green Lantern against its critics, quoted all the funniest lines from Van Wilder complete with character voices and wrote out a treatise on how great Ryan’s shoulders look in a suit…essentially.

In case you’re wondering why the two split, if their marriage was as ScarJo put it, “the best thing I ever did,” the answer isn’t Sean Penn or Justin Long or even Blake Lively, who Reynolds was spotted smooching this week, even though that would make for a much more exciting interview. “Being married is a living, breathing process. I think I was not fully aware of the peaks and the valleys. I wasn’t prepared to hunker down and do the work,” Johansson admits. “Both of us were extremely busy. We spent so much time apart. It’s very difficult.” Celebrities! Their marriages fall apart just like ours! But with less screaming and tire-slashing.

ScarJo Auctions Off The Chance To Be In Her Glorious Presence

Scarlett Johansson‘s precious time and polite smiles for sale! Get it while supplies last! In her quest to become the Mother Teresa of awkward stranger dates, Scarlett is currently auctioning off a chance to meet her at the Dec. 12 premiere of her upcoming movie We Built A Zoo, which Scarlett probably could then do with all the money she’s about to pull in. Instead, bidding on ScarJo’s time through Charitybuzz.com will benefit Blessings in a Backpack, a non-profit that supplies food to disadvantaged kids. Obsess about Scarlett Johansson AND do something worthwhile with your life? And your mom said it couldn’t be done!

This isn’t the first time ScarJo has put her radiance up for auction, either. Back in October she suffered through a few hours of paralyzing small talk for a donation to the British charity Breakthrough Breast Cancer which totalled approximately $41,000. It’s sort of genius, actually. All Scarlett has to do is stand around while some goober stutters and drools next to her, then school children get fed. With the way economy’s been looking, dates with Scarlett Johansson are going to be America’s chief export and we’ll still be the richest nation in the world! U.S.A.! U.S.A.!

Lea, Taylor, ScarJo And Evan Face Off For Les Miz Role

Since Celebrity Deathmatch sadly remains a fictional show, we’ll have to figure out who should be cast in the upcoming Les Miserables movie, co-starring Anne Hathaway and Hugh Jackman, the old-fashioned way: based solely on our personal opinion! Oh, and talent and singing ability, too. We guess.

The New York Post reported today that everyone and their hotter older sister are currently up for the role of the tragic love-lorn Eponine: Glee‘s Lea Michele, Taylor Swift, Scarlett Johansson and Evan Rachel Wood. In addition to being a convincing doe-eyed heroine, Lea actually starred as young Cosette in the Broadway version of the musical. However, the Glee actress faces the same problem as Taylor Swift: you know they’d kill their big number “On My Own,” but would you buy them getting mortally wounded on the barricade while dressed in drag? (Sorry if that detail needed a spoiler alert; the book came out in 1862.) ScarJo admittedly has both the chops and the pipes necessary, but our money is on Evan Rachel Wood. She just looks like she belongs in tuberculosis-ridden 19th-century France. Who would you pick?

Scarlett Johansson Lands Two Major December Covers

How different does Scarlett Johansson look on these covers. The one on the left is the December issue of Vanity Fair, and the one on the right is Interview Magazine‘s December offering. We love the red hair, pink lips and soft lighting on the VF one, but it’s the sexiness of the Interview photograph that has us sold. She’s wearing Dolce & Gabbana in the shot and it’s so much more angular and harsher — right down to the darker, thicker brows — than the other cover photograph. We don’t blame either magazine for wanting to end their year with ScarJo! Which one do you prefer?

Scarlett Johansson Embraces Her Nude Pics: “I Know My Best Angles”

Scarlett Johansson seems to be taking the advice we got for celebs from CNET Internet security expert Declan McCullagh, “If you take nude photos of yourself or allow nude photos of yourself to be taken … either you embrace this (like Marilyn Monroe did) — this is part of you, part of your mystique — or you keep them encrypted on a hard drive that you, and not your boyfriend, hold the key to.”

So in her cover story interview for the December issue of Vanity Fair, she saucily declares of the nude pics that leaked in September: “I know my best angles. … They were sent to my husband [Ryan Reynolds]. There’s nothing wrong with that. It’s not like I was shooting a porno. Although there’s nothing wrong with that either.”
