Scott Speedman Stokes Felicity, Ryan Gosling Reunion Talk — Unintentionally!

Seeing Scott Speedman acting opposite Channing Tatum and Rachel McAdams in The Vow has made many of us a little more than nostalgic for his Felicity heyday. All week long people have been peppering him with reunion questions, and he responded jokingly, not realizing how crazy it would drive us.

“I think I made some offhand comment about me being a giant fat person [in a reunion show], but that’s not really what I’ve been wanting to do! I didn’t think that would get so much leverage,” he told us. “I think it would be fun to get together and see where the story is, but I don’t know, that’s probably not going to happen. There’s so many people doing too many different things right now.”

In all seriousness, though, Speedman is interested in coming back to the small screen. “Especially right now, there seems to be a lot of good television happening,” he said. “It’s hard after you do a show that people really like and you really like doing, it’s hard to just choose just to do anything. So I’ve been sort of picky about what I wanted to do.”

How about ringing up Felicity creator J.J. Abrams? “We’ve talked a little bit in the past about certain kind of things, but any time he would call, I’d be more than interested. He’s great.”

But there’s another reunion we’re dying to see: a re-teaming of Speedman with fellow Canadian Ryan Gosling, who starred with him in an episode of Goosebumps, “Say Cheese and Die,” in 1996. Big Morning Buzz Live dug up a clip of this fine example of their acting. Watch his thrilled, This Is Your Life-worthy reaction:

Eva Mendes Praises “Dream Co-Star” Ryan Gosling In Marie Claire

Eva Mendes keeps things professional in her new Marie Claire interview (in addition to looking crazy good on their March cover), but we can read between the lines when it comes to her comments about alleged boyfriend Ryan Gosling. “He’s your dream co-star,” Mendes raves about her fellow The Place In The Pines actor. We feel you, girl! Ryan Gosling is our dream co-star too! In as much as he co-stars in our dreams … as our husband … and also we can breathe underwater? We need to consult a dream dictionary about that. Adds Mendes, “I have never felt so creatively satisfied on a film. He’s amazing.” We bet Ryan helps you feel satisfied! You can’t see our glasses, Eva, but they are all the way at the end of our noses and we are peering over them at you. Suggestively.

Unfortunately Mendes is nothing if not a class act, and as such declines to elaborate on the details of her romantic connection with the Drive star. Details like, what Ryan’s underwear choice might be, or if he ever whimpers our name in his sleep. “Stop, just stop,” Mendes says once her interviewer presses her for more information about her manfriend. “I’m not gonna budge. I feel uncomfortable talking about it. It’s too personal.” Don’t worry, Eva. We already know you two went to Disney World together. We can fill in the blanks from here.

Octavia Spencer Complains About Her Louboutins And 10 Other Great Golden Globes Press Room Moments

There’s a party going on right here at the Beverly Hilton. The Golden Globes truly are a celebration to last through out the year. (Check out our favorite moments from the show!) Dare we say that it might even be the most fun night in Hollywood… EVER. Everyone — press, crew, celebs — is in good spirits, the booze is plentiful, and the emphasis is on having a good time. And everything is so pretty! The Beverly Hilton is a beautiful and iconic spot any day of the week, but there’s something extra magical about tonight’s event. The red carpet actually felt like a living, breathing thing and it. Is. FIERCE.

But the best part of the night was, of course, hearing from the winners, in all their sweet, excited glory. We were stationed in the press room and had the privilege of listening to all their best moments — from the absolutely ridiculous to the downright cry-worthy. We count ‘em down for you below.

  • Octavia Spencer kicking her shoes off in the middle of answering questions, and then delivering this important message: “Christian Louboutin, I love you, but when you have this much weigh you gotta give us a little platform.”
  • George Clooney answering the “Where is Ryan Gosling?” question: “He’s [working] in Thailand. And you know what they do in Thailand.
  • Matt LeBlanc having a “Joey” moment onstage, answering a reporter’s question with “How you doin’?”

2012 Golden Globe Nominees’ Least Award-Worthy Moments: Mickey Mouse Club To She-Devil

As soon as the 69th annual Golden Globe nominations were announced this morning, industry folks like Variety began noting how many movie stars (as opposed to fancy ahctorrrs, we guess) are nominated: George Clooney, Brad Pitt and Ryan Gosling aren’t exactly slouches in the acting department, but they don’t turn their noses down at a good romantic comedy heist film either. On the other hand, the more we think about it, the more we think maybe they should have turned down a few gigs. Well, no regrets, Meryl and Glenn and Leo. You turned out OK. Just forgive us for laughing with you at some of the skeletons in your closet/IMDb page!

Golden Globe Noms Add Ryan Gosling, Jonah Hill, Rooney Mara To Awards Season Mix

That wacky Hollywood Foreign Press Association is at it again. The HFPA announced the nominees for the 69th Golden Globe Awards, and the list has a few surprises, and lots of things we actually like. The fact that the Globes separate drama movies from musicals and comedies always makes for a rather inclusive group of nominees. Previous 2012 awards season frontrunner The Artist tops the nominations here again with six, and The Help and The Descendants are tied in second place with five apiece.

George Clooney’
s busy year has garnered him plenty of recognition here: He’s up for best drama actor for The Descendants, and for best director and best screenplay for The Ides of March. Both films are up against each other for best drama (up against The Help, Hugo, Moneyball and War Horse). In the lead drama acting categories, Ryan Gosling (for Ides) and Rooney Mara (The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo) are the two newcomers. The supporting actor and actress categories also line up with the trends, with the exception of Jonah Hill (Moneyball) and Viggo Mortensen (A Dangerous Method). Seriously, for the others, look back at every other list we’ve published so far.

Bridesmaids, 50/50, The Artist, Midnight in Paris and My Week With Marilyn make up a very solid musical/comedy category. And we can’t even imagine how to place bets for the musical/comedy actresses: Kristen Wiig (Bridesmaids) is the only actress on the list not to be an awards season regular. The musical/comedy actors are a more eclectic bunch: Ryan Gosling (for Crazy, Stupid, Love.), Joseph Gordon-Levitt (50/50), Brendan Gleason (The Guard), Jean Dujardin (The Artist) and Owen Wilson (Midnight in Paris). One more anomaly worth mentioning: Madonna, whose W.E. track “Masterpiece” is up for best song.

Bradley Cooper Publicly Acknowledges Ryan Gosling’s Superior Sexiness

Ugh, this is like the 2008 elections all over again, except without the indelible historical consequences. WE HOPE. Having been named People‘s Sexiest Man Alive last month, Bradley Cooper appeared on Britain’s The Graham Norton Show to acknowledge what the majority of America seem to believe: Ryan Gosling is even sexier than he. “It’s so awful that I’m admitting this, but the hell with it: There was such a backlash when they announced it. Ryan Gosling, who I love, and I just made a movie with him and he’s the greatest,” Bradley says, remarking of recent paparazzi photos: “He literally looks like he’s in a photo shoot, like he just came off the runway. The peacoat is like this, with the scarf! And then there’s ones of me, and I literally look like the neighbor who never comes out of his house.” So what happens to the universe when the Sexiest Man Alive has his own Sexiest Man Alive? We feel like a wormhole might open up. On the other side of that wormhole? George Clooney, rubbing his hands together and biding his time.

Stack Of Robert Pattinson Pancakes, Anyone?

We kid you not with that headline. Although, you may have to wait a couple of days for a stack. A Chicago based artist named Katherine Kalnes has made pancakes in the mold of celebrities like Robert Pattinson and Justin Bieber, as you can see above. Each pancake apparently takes up to eight hours to make. Immortalized in batter so far have been Taylor Lautner, Ellen DeGeneres and Ryan Gosling to name a few. We definitely wouldn’t mind taking a bite out of some of them. It may be weird, but still a lot more palatable than people making inappropriate sculptures of the Biebs, at least.

Independent Spirit Award Nominees Give Us Awards Season Fever

Awards: They’re how we let celebrities know that we love them, without having to shimmy through their bedroom windows at night. While the cream of the acting crop still has to wait a few months to know if they’ll get a little golden man to display on the back of their toilets, the New York Film Critics Circle announced their 2011 movie winners today. Winners included Brad Pitt for Best Actor in Moneyball and The Tree Of Life, Meryl Streep for Best Actress in not-yet-released The Iron Lady, Jessica Chastain for Best Supporting Actress for The Tree of Life, The Help and Take Shelter, and Albert Brooks for Best Supporting Actor in Drive. We’ll never look at a salad fork the same away again, Mr. Brooks, and for that you deserve some kind of recognition.

Meanwhile, the Independent Spirit Awards have announced the nominees for their 2012 accolades, which include some picks you probably saw coming: Michelle Williams for My Week with Marilyn, Elizabeth Olsen for Martha Marcy May Marlene, Shailene Woodley for The Descendants and Ryan Gosling for being hot. We mean, for Drive! The Spirit Awards won’t reveal their winners until February 25, which gives us plenty of time to decide which actor from Drive truly deserves that little winged thingie. Either way, we can all agree Ron Perlman was robbed, right?

How Does Ryan Gosling’s Teen Sitcom Compare To Other Embarrassing Celeb Roles?

There’s a lot of potentially humiliating stuff going on in Ryan Gosling‘s Breaker High, the Canadian sitcom that helped launch the Drive actor’s career in 1997, back when he was just a hunky teen. Between Ryan’s faux-Brooklyn accent, the insanely flamboyant hockey coach, and the fact that the show revolved around a high school located on a cruise ship, it’d be understandable if Ryan wanted to toss all copies of this show into the Atlantic and never look back. But really, is it any worse than any other early embarrassing celeb role? From Jack Black to Jennifer Aniston to Renee Zellweger, plenty of A-listers have had to take some Z-list roles when they were starting out. If you had to chose one from our humiliating list (and you do!), which cringe-worthy part do you think is the most regrettable?

Bradley Cooper Is People’s Sexiest Man Alive, Sydney Would Be Proud

Aw, remember when Bradley Cooper was just a sweet newspaper reporter with an unrequited crush on his superspy best friend? We doubt Alias‘ Will would believe today’s news — that Brad is People‘s Sexiest Man Alive — but the rest of us aren’t so surprised. Especially not those of us who saw this video of him speaking French. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hdsoFZxk7DU Just don’t forget those of us who loved you way back when!

The rest of the People list includes an eclectic, but undeniably hot mix of actors: Hunger Games hottie Liam Hemsworth, his big bro’s Thor co-star Idris Elba, Jennifer Aniston‘s sweetie Justin Theroux, Captain America himself Chris Evans, country superstar Tim McGraw, The Good Wife‘s Josh Charles (he’ll always be Dan from Sports Night to us!), comedy crush Joel McHale, Game of Thrones warrior Jason Momoa, most-obvious-choice-in-the-world Ryan Gosling, even-sexier-with-age Alec Baldwin and so-delish-he-distracts-us-from-screaming American Horror Story star Dylan McDermott.
