Rachel McAdams’ 20 Hottest Looks: From Heartbreaking To Butt-Kicking And Back

Rachel McAdams just may be the queen of the rom-dram. As if anyone can forget the tear-jerking role she played in The Notebook, the stunning starlet is forcing us to grab some tissues again in her new movie, The Vow. It seems like it was just yesterday that Rachel popped up on the big screen as the ultimate bully in Mean Girls. Rachel’s days of miniskirts and matching pink pumps are long behind her now. The Canadian actress ditched her blond locks and became a brunette to kick ass in Sherlock Holmes, yet snagged a tame role as a sweet blonde alongside Owen Wilson in Midnight in Paris. This girl sure knows how to change it up. Just in case Channing Tatum and his new arch-rival Scott Speedman aren’t enough to make you grab your ticket and popcorn for The Vow, here are Rachel McAdams’ 20 hottest looks:

Scott Speedman Stokes Felicity, Ryan Gosling Reunion Talk — Unintentionally!

Seeing Scott Speedman acting opposite Channing Tatum and Rachel McAdams in The Vow has made many of us a little more than nostalgic for his Felicity heyday. All week long people have been peppering him with reunion questions, and he responded jokingly, not realizing how crazy it would drive us.

“I think I made some offhand comment about me being a giant fat person [in a reunion show], but that’s not really what I’ve been wanting to do! I didn’t think that would get so much leverage,” he told us. “I think it would be fun to get together and see where the story is, but I don’t know, that’s probably not going to happen. There’s so many people doing too many different things right now.”

In all seriousness, though, Speedman is interested in coming back to the small screen. “Especially right now, there seems to be a lot of good television happening,” he said. “It’s hard after you do a show that people really like and you really like doing, it’s hard to just choose just to do anything. So I’ve been sort of picky about what I wanted to do.”

How about ringing up Felicity creator J.J. Abrams? “We’ve talked a little bit in the past about certain kind of things, but any time he would call, I’d be more than interested. He’s great.”

But there’s another reunion we’re dying to see: a re-teaming of Speedman with fellow Canadian Ryan Gosling, who starred with him in an episode of Goosebumps, “Say Cheese and Die,” in 1996. Some Hits, Some Misses At The Vow Premiere

Y’all know we love Rachel McAdams, right? And this The Vow movie with Channing Tatum is already giving out The Notebook vibes (and it’s not even based on a Nicholas Sparks book!), so we’re getting our tissue boxes out in preparation. We so wanted her to nail it at the Hollywood premiere of the film last night. She looks … fine. But that’s the problem. Rachel McAdams is not supposed to look just “fine,” or like any other pretty starlet. But that’s what her pastel blue Vivienne Westwood dress and nude Christian Louboutin pumps left us feeling. It’s pretty, but it’s not smashing it. Love the lipstick, though.

Very surprisingly, the best dressed for us was the duo of Kendall and Kylie Jenner. If you can get over how short the dresses are for a 16- and a 14-year-old, respectively. But these girls never make anything look déclassé, though because they always look really sweet. Yes, a Kardashian (sorta) can look sweet. We’re not feeling Kendall’s “welcome to the ’90s” bun, but are totally digging her white mini-sheath and bronze pumps. Sadly, who we’re really not feeling is Channing’s wife, Jenna Dewan in the pink, ruffled Tadashi Shoji dress and red pumps. The dress is wearing her, and it makes her look like a Valentine’s Day present.

Rachel McAdams Brightens Up Our Day On The Glamour February Cover

After the rather disappointing Harper’s Bazaar cover with Uma Thurman we posted yesterday, we were hoping that all February covers weren’t going to be damp squibs. Luckily for us, this little ray of sunshine popped up. Rachel McAdams on the cover of Glamour’s February issue made us break into a huge smile. She looks so happy and healthy with that mane of blond hair and bright pink lips — this is a cover. The interview itself is called “OK, We Love This Girl!”, which we agree with. When asked about how everyone she comes in contact with can’t stop talking about her —- co-stars, ex-boyfriends, etc — she responds, “I’m paying them. Who Was Best Dressed At The Sherlock Holmes: A Game Of Shadows Premiere?

OK, some of us have been slacking on our movie news homework and had no idea that Sherlock Holmes: A Game af Shadows was coming out so soon. Perhaps Twilight has been hogging the attention. But our favorite detective is back, and the movie premiered yesterday at the Village Theatre in L.A. Three ladies in particular really stepped it up on the very chic carpet. Rachel McAdams — who reprises her role in this second installment of Guy Ritchie’s franchise — leads the list. She wore this beautiful, long-sleeved, silver Marchesa dress with Christian Louboutin heels. Amber Heard, who’s had the best sartorial year ever, kept it simple and stylish with a white tailored shirt and black pants. Loose Marcel waves and red lips completed the look. Noomi Rapace , who also stars in the film, chose the same color palette as Rachel, only with a different silhouette. All three are so glam and have got premiere wear down to an art.

Ryan Gosling Has A PDA-Filled Disney Date With Eva Mendes

Listen. Do you hear that? That’s the sound of millions of hearts shattering to the strains of “It’s A Small World After All”. It looks like our favorite earth quakin’, fight breakin’ hero Ryan Gosling has a new lady love in his life…and sadly, it isn’t Rachel McAdams again. Ryan spent the weekend canoodling around Disneyland with his The Place Beyond The Pines costar, Eva Mendes. Exclusive pics from Us Weekly show the two holding hands and kissing. *Gasp* Not in front of Goofy, guys! “They were very playful,” a fellow Disney reveler told Us. “Eva was skipping around like a little girl…She would lean into him and she held his arm the entire time.” They rode rides together, and sampled the park’s finest fairground cuisine, including churros, cotton candy and corn-on-the-cob. “She fed him,” said an observer.

According to a source on the set of their new movie, the twosome have been moving toward more-than-costars status for quite some time. “It hasn’t been a secret how excited Eva’s been to film with him, and she’s always joked with us about how gorgeous he is,” they told US. “She’s never been shy about having the hots for him! There’s always been this strong chemistry…this was just a matter of time.” We can only imagine the passionate wet kisses under Splash Mountain. Disneyland may the happiest place on Earth for them, but it just crushed an untold number of fan girl/boy dreams. The Mickey Mouse giveth, and the Mickey Mouse taketh away.

We figured Rachel McAdams was had something big planned when she showed up in France with that huge trunk yesterday! The actress traded Tuesday’s hat and trenchcoat for long blond curls and a sheer red Marchesa gown at the Cannes premiere of Woody Allen‘s Midnight In Paris, which she attended with co-stars Adrien Brody, Owen Wilson, Lea Seydoux and Michael Sheen—who also doubled as her date. We loved the glamorous red dress Rachel McAdams wore to the German premiere of Morning Glory, but the actress took a different tack while hawking the film in London last night. It may have been cold enough for co-star Harrison Ford to rock a scarf, but McAdams braved the breeze to strut around the red carpet in a low-cut dress that will appeal to side-boob enthusiasts everywhere. Oh, the belated international release date. How else do you explain stars like Rachel McAdams dressing glamorously to promote a film that has already tanked in the U.S. While the wacky morning-show-themed Morning Glory only made $30 million stateside, stars McAdams and Harrison Ford were on hand for the film’s premiere in Berlin this weekend, with producers undoubtedly hoping their presence will help boost European grosses (the film’s budget was $40 million). McAdams certainly did her part, wearing a dramatic red dress that would probably look more extreme if the wall and carpet weren’t also red. Get a closer look in the gallery below.
