Bad News For Lindsay Lohan, Megan Fox Involved In Talks To Play Elizabeth Taylor

Remember we told you about that Elizabeth Taylor movie that Lindsay Lohan was gunning for? That may or may not happen. Correction: That probably won’t happen, with her luck. Megan Fox is also in talks to play the late Dame Liz, according to E!, Larry Thompson, the executive producer of Lifetime’s Liz and Dick, told the channel, “I’ve been talking to Lindsay Lohan directly, and with her reps, and have been in conversations with other actresses, including Megan Fox. It’s a very serious selection. It’s like casting for Hollywood royalty.”

Lindsay may still be in the running, but tell us if you think that Megan’s presence will screw things up for her? Which actress will be a better Elizabeth Taylor? Let us know!

Emma Watson, Rupert Grint, Robsten Top Another List, Because Why Not?

The folks at Forbes certainly know what they’re doing. Usually, we turn to them for the big lists, like the Celebrity 100, the World’s Most Powerful Women or the Hip-Hop Cash Kings. But those take a lot of work, and sometimes, they just need something fast and easy (we’re just assuming here, ’cause you know, we’d never be so gratuitous about our lists). So, they do things like this week’s Hollywood’s Top-Earning On-Screen Couples, which is topped by Emma Watson and Rupert Grint, followed by Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson.

We’re very happy to see the Harry Potter and Twilight stars at the top of the list, natch. But it does feel a bit like the editors sat down and said, “What kind of list can we do that will feature the stars of Harry Potter and Twilight, and maybe also Pirates of the Caribbean and Transformers?” They admit themselves that the whole thing is based on numbers from Box Office Mojo (the total earnings from movies with the stars as a couple from the last five years).

Still, here we are, looking at the list. So they’ve hooked us again! We’ll give you the full list below, but also we want to come up with some kind of challenge for the Forbes editors, just to make sure they stay on top of their game. Maybe the next feature should be something like America’s Highest-Grossing Puppet Shows or Top-Earning Subway Mariachi Groups. That‘ll take a little shoe leather.

Billy Crystal’s Oscar Promo Makes Us Wish We Were Watching The Princess Bride

“Humperdink! Humperdink! Humperdink!”

Well, that’s not exactly what a mustachioed Josh Duhamel and mostly silent Megan Fox tell Billy Crystal in the new promo for the Academy Awards, but it might as well be. Because seriously, as the reclusive Yeti formerly known as “The Host,” Crystal could not be more like his Princess Bride character Max unless he donned a giant fake nose.

The promo tells us so many things about this year’s Oscars:

As host, Crystal isn’t going to try anything too new and daring. The cameo of Robin Williams also backs this up. Not exactly cutting-edge comedy here. Unlike the surreal promos James Franco and Anne Hathaway made last year, which we all know, turned out to be much better than the actual show.

They’re kind of still trying to appeal to a younger audience, albeit lamely, by hiring Duhamel and Fox. (Cameos by William Fichtner as a producer type and Vinnie Jones as an all-knowing bartender thankfully don’t appear to be pandering to anyone.)

The Dictator Trailer Has Something For Everyone (To Be Offended By)

Hoo boy! We’ll happily admit that we’ll be first in line to see Sacha Baron Cohen‘s The Dictator on opening night, but seriously…hoo boy. Unlike his previous adventures in hilarity Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan and Brüno, both of which featured one oddball character against the world, The Dictator trailer seems to determined to depict pretty much everyone as a total moron, not least of all the leader himself. Cohen’s happy tyrant seems to be a little bit Saddam, a little bit Gaddafi, and a whole lot of upper man thigh. After watching the trailer, here is just a preliminary list of the groups that will likely be offended by Cohen’s latest:

Demi Lovato To Keanu Reeves: 10 Headbangin’ Celebs On National Metal Day

In case you didn’t realize, VH1 Classic has declared today, 11/11/11, National Metal Day. We’re sure we’re not the only ones to blast Mastodon in our headphones while everyone assumes we’re typing away to the sweet sounds of Britney Spears. Not every metalhead wears leather pants, T-shirts and a scowl, right? Over the years, several surprising celebs have come out of the closet as fans of the hard stuff — and not just when those Iron Maiden shirts were really popular at Hot Topic.

Years ago, MTV discovered that Demi Lovato was a serious fan of black metallers Dimmu Borgir among other groups we’re sure never appeared on Radio Disney. Kat Dennings likes to tweet about knitting while listening to metal. This 10-minute video of a tipsy Kelly Clarkson rocking out onstage at a Metal Skool show in 2006 is truly endearing. Rihanna Goes Blonde And Buff For Armani Ads

Emporio Armani unveiled its new print ads today, staring a scantily clad Rihanna lounging in the back of a classic car. And they manage to turn “dammmnnnn” into a nineteen syllable word. Seriously, this looks like the start of the best car wash of our lives. The steamy black and white images were photographed by Steve Klein, famous for directing Lady Gaga’s equally sexy music video for “Alejandro”. The Barbadian beauty showed off a new blonde Tinkerbell ‘do for the shoot, which we’re feelin’ is most likely a wig. RiRi was announced as the face, or should we say “body” of Emporio Armani underwear back in July, following in the footsteps of Megan Fox and Victoria Beckham. Whatever she’s selling, we’ll take it. Two, in fact.

Megan Fox Explains Why She Removed Her Marilyn Monroe Tatt, Added Carbs

After being put on blast earlier this summer by everyone on the Transformers movies but the craft services people, it seems like Megan Fox’s tattoo removal was a big step in moving on to the next phase in the actress’s life. “I’m removing it,” the This Is 40 star explained to Italy’s Amica. “It is a negative character, as she suffered from personality disorders and was bipolar. I do not want to attract this kind of negative energy in my life.” Well, Marilyn could also be a positive character who stands for being fabulous and have a really great dye job, but we can see the connection.

Besides her ink, Megan Fox’s diet is the lastest thing undergoing a change. “For a year and a half, until about four months ago, I followed a strict vegan diet based on raw fruits and vegetables, no bread, sugar and coffee,” Fox explained. “But I had lost too much weight. So now I eat a bit of everything.” New bare skin available for future tattoos, the ability to eat food heated over 104 degrees Fahrenheit: 2011 is looking like Megan Fox’s best year yet.

Megan Fox’s New Job Is A Pool-Side Breeze

This is rather different from her treatment on the Transformers set, from which she was ignominiously fired thanks to her various tiffs with director, Michael Bay. Megan Fox posted a new photo on her Facebook page showing her in a radically changed set. The movie she’s involved in is a Judd Apatow flick called This is 40, and is reportedly a spin-off of Knocked Up. Megan has a small role in the movie which also stars Apatow’s wife, Leslie Mann and Paul Rudd. Also, Jason Segel and Chris O’Dowd who the actress is seen posing with in a pool.

The happy trio posed between takes for the shot and Megan wrote, “On set of This Is 40 with Jason and Chris…Two very handsome, very tall, VERY funny men.” Good to know she’s having a blast and not fighting with her director this time. Her co-stars seem to be on pretty sweet terms with her as well. Leslie Mann told MTV in a recent interview, “Megan Fox is so funny. She’s hilarious. You wouldn’t, I don’t know if other people expect it, but I think she is really funny. You’ll be pleasantly surprised.” We’re going to withhold judgement on that one, but we’re happy to see Meggy looking so relaxed!
