Critics’ Choice Movie Awards Red Carpet 12 Best-Dressed

Oh, yeah, people. After yesterday’s PCA dress rehearsal, awards season 2012 got really fired up at the Critics’ Choice Movie Awards tonight. Our appetites for sequins and lace and tuxes are whetted. We are ready to spend the next month debating whether blue is the new black, whether the mullet dress should go the way of the mullet, and whether men can make it onto the best-dressed list without looking absolutely silly (we’re talking to you, Christopher Plummer).

So, now that we’ve gushed over little sisters Elle Fanning and Elizabeth Olsen, and we’ve been pondering the fact that all those gothic ladies were wearing romantic black at 3 in the afternoon, it’s time to commit to a best-dressed list. From the adorable Thomas Horn and Berenice Bejo to the deliciously elegant Charlize Theron, Michelle Williams and Sir Ben Kingsley, to Brad Pitt and h here are our 12 favorites from the evening. Disagree? Well, tell us in the comments!

Gothic Romance Sweeps The Critics’ Choice Red Carpet

While there were splashes of color on the red carpet at the Critics’ Choice Movie Awards, there was also the predicable black-on-black-on-black ensembles. But the mood was anything but sombre, as those sporting black gowns added an edge to their style with a gothic twist that played off the vampiric undertones of 2011′s trends. Charlize Theron was statuesque in a gown that cascaded in tiers to her feet, with a sleek braid and minimal accessories giving the dark look a modern, fresh feel. Evan Rachel Wood also opted for a floor length gown, and her lacy number, porcelain skin and twisted up-do lent the the look a stoic, old-world air. Judy Greer also went for gothic femininity, in a body-hugging dress overlaid with intricate black lace. Kirsten Dunst wore a beautiful Dior LBD, and embellished with ribbon and tulle, Kirsten bought her signature quirky, fashion forward style to the runway. Also rocking a shorter dress was Chloe Moretz, who went all out on the goth trend in Chanel, wearing shearling sleeves on a baby doll dress with raw seams and ancient looking brooch adorning the collar.

Kirsten Dunst Granted Three Year Restraining Order Against French Fan

Kirsten Dunst can breathe a little easier now. She was in court last month in L.A. to win a restraining order against French fan Jean Christophe Prudhon, who had allegedly flown to America on multiple occasions to stalk see her. And get this, the 51-year-old dude used to sit outside her house, just waiting for her. He also tried calling her and wrote to her repeatedly as well. Her mother said that one of his notes stated that he “came across the oceans 5 times to try and meet you, always frustrated by fate who took you away each time.” Apparently, Prudhon also admitted sitting in his car outside her home, and said that he’s walked up to her door and accosted her mother, as well.

The judge granted her a temporary restraining order back then, but has now upped it to a three-year ban. Prudhon, as per law, has to stay at least 100 yards away from the actress till 2015. Let’s just hope that deters him for good.

Who Rocks This Dress More: Kirsten Dunst Or Emma Stone?

Lookie what we have here! The same dreamy dress worn by the two, very dreamy starlets! This is a number by couturier Giambattista Valli and as you can tell, super hard to pull off. Emma Stone wore it at the Friends With Benefits premiere in New York back in July this year. Now it’s turned up on Kirsten Dunst for Flare Magazine‘s November cover. Question is, who do you think wore it better, because we’re having a hard time deciding! Our heart says Emma because we’re feeling the love for her these days!

Kirsten Dunst And Isla Fisher Look Totally Worse For Wear

Well, lookie here. It’s Isla Fisher and Kirsten Dunst staggering down the streets of New York. Right outside Score’s Gentlemen’s Club, in fact. And they look TRASHED. Fortunately, or unfortunately — we’re not sure which yet — it’s all for a scene from their film, Bachelorette, which also stars Lizzy Caplan! This one’s going to be a hoot although this particular scene — not so much. Apparently it ends with some very drunken throwing up, the pictures of which we will spare you of. Part of us wishes this was real though, and that Isla and Kirsten were BFF’ing it up on a crazy girls night. But since Isla’s a pretty adorable mom, it doesn’t seem likely that she’d go on papp’d shennanigans with Kiki. But hey, we have celluloid for that!

Kirsten Dunst Wants You To Know That She Has Big Boobs

After a period out of the limelight, Kirsten Dunst is back to the big leagues with her award winning performance in Melancholia. But enough about acting and films and all that stuff. Kirsten recently sat down with Elle magazine and reminded us all that she has big boobs. You know, in case we forgot while she was away. And she also wants you to know that she has no body issues whatsoever, you guys. Zero. Do it up, girl!

Kiki strips down for some nude scenes in Melancholia, but apparently she didn’t stress or obsess over it one bit. “I didn’t work out beforehand, it was all very natural.” In fact, she seems to love her body more than we’ll ever love our first-born. “I don’t have any real body issues. I never really overeat, I shed weight in the summer, put it on in the winter.” She’s even embraced her imperfections, including ones we’re pretty sure don’t exist. “I love my snaggle fangs,” she says. “They give me character and character is sexy.” Does she have snaggle fangs? Is that a thing?

And, of course, here’s your helpful boob reminder. “Yes, I do have big boobs. People don’t realize because I cover up a lot, but they are there. Big boobs.” If you’ve ever seen the Spiderman movies, we’re pretty sure you realized. There’s been much written about Kirsten’s battles with depression, so it’s good to see that she seems so much happier! Keep it up, lady.

The Full 2011 CFDA Fashion Awards Red Carpet Report

The 2011 CFDA Fashion Awards took place last night at Lincoln Center in New York City. The show saw some serious fashionista traffic, but we have to admit we expected it to be a tad more A-List. Still, can’t complain with the likes of Alessandra Ambrosio in a red-hot Prabal Gurung dress and Liv Tyler in an unusual Proenza Schouler silk printed sheath. Both ladies showed a fair amount of back! We also loved Kerry Washington‘s simple white A-Line Calvin Klein dress and Lucy Liu‘s dramatic black Monique Lhuillier gown. Miranda Kerr looked heart-stoppingly sexy in her black Michael Kors skirt and cut-out body suit. But the big winner of the night was Lady Gaga who scooped up the Fashion Icon Award, bringing her sister Natali Germanotta as her date.

Unfortunately, there were a couple of fashion fails as well. Chloe Sevigny looked like she had forgotten to do up the top of her leather ruffle eyelet blouse from her own collection. Marcia Cross wore an inexplicable Pamella Roland blue sequined halter jumpsuit and Naomi Watts looked generically pretty but very blah in her Calvin Klein gold dress. We also love us some Ashley Greene but she just wasn’t working her two-tone Michael Kors dress, like a pregnant Jessica Alba worked the same trend in DVF. Perhaps it’s because Ashley’s clunky shoes were all wrong. One look at Gerard Butler in his snug, extremely well-cut suit, and all was well again. Kirsten Dunst Wins Best Actress At Cannes Despite Director’s Nazi Jokes

Lars Von Trier may put his actresses through hell, but it certainly seems to pay off in the awards department. Kirsten Dunst managed to score Best Actress at Cannes‘ closing ceremony this weekend, despite Melancholia director Von Trier’s instantly infamous rant about “understanding” Hitler at a press conference last week. “This is an honor that’s once in a lifetime. Thank you to the Cannes Film Festival for allowing the film to still be in competition,” said the actress, who also thanked Von Trier, now a “persona non grata” at Cannes for “giving me the opportunity to be so brave in this film.”

With Dunst’s career taking a tumble following the end of the Spider-Man trilogy and a stint in rehab, this prestigious award could be the beginning of a major comeback for her. Could she carry the buzz to the Academy Awards when Melancholia comes out stateside in November? It probably depends whether Von Trier can keep his mouth shut—though it’s possible Dunst’s performance at the press conference only helped her get the nod.

Stars On The AmFar Cinema Against Aids 2011 Red Carpet

This is the life! The eighteenth annual amfAR Cinema Against AIDS gala took place yesterday at the Cannes Film Festival. The super schmancy event was held at the Hotel Du Cap-Eden-Roc in Antibes, France and involved the usual — gowns and jewelry worth approximately three of our lifetimes! Kirsten Dunst showed up looking as fresh as a daisy, completely unaffected by the rumor that her nighttime partying kept Brangelina up all night.

Janet Jackson looked pretty svelte and rocked some bright blue nail polish! Irina Shayk showed up with a slit cut up till there, while cuties Dev Patel and Frieda Pinto snuggled up for the cameras. Gavin Rossdale and Gwen Stefani added a bit of punk to the proceedings while old hands Goldie Hawn and Brooke Shields looked flawless in dull gold and white respectively. Join us in our envy by taking a look at the photos below. We’re making margaritas!

Rumors We Love: Kiki Dunst Kept Brangelina Up With Her Howling

Damn you kids and your infernal racket! Don’t you know Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have a 5,000,000 hour sleep debt they need to snooze off? With all those children, you just know they haven’t slept more than 45 minutes a night since 2001. Which is why we’re not surprised to hear Brangelina and Kirsten Dunst allegedly squared off over the Melancholia star’s all-night partying at Cannes. The pair allegedly complained when the actress “howled along” to The Rolling Stones’ “Sympathy For The Devil” at the Glacaeu Vitaminwater party at the Eden Roc Hotel. Man, just wait until Kirsten has six kids under 10, an A-list life partner and a new movie coming out every six months; then she’ll understand. She’s going to wish she had a soundproof coffin to sleep in.

Even more bizarrely, allegedly Mad Men‘s Jon Hamm and Vanessa Hudgens joined in the party, “stomping their feet and jumping on tables. All the while, bar staff patiently waited for them to quit. Eventually, security asked the group to pipe down as they were disturbing Brangelina, who are staying in the villa in the grounds.” Hmmm, something about this story seems a little suspicious. We mean, why would Vanessa Hudgens be at a legitimate film festival?
