The Academy Awards are arguably the classiest annual event in entertainment. Yet some A-listers like Cher, Cameron Diaz and Demi Moore, all of whom work dang hard to keep their bodies taut and toned, can’t resist the urge to slut it up. We’re not sure if high slits, deep Vs, and revealing mesh are appropriate Oscars attire, but we’re not complaining. Here’s a collection of actresses for whom modesty is not their red carpet policy.

Sandra Bullock made a huge transformation this year from fluff film actress to serious Oscar contender, but even she is skeptical about her chances at taking home an Academy Award next month. “I’m so not winning an Oscar,” Bullock told reporters at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival last Friday. “Nine times out of ten I always pick who’s going to win and I already know who’s going to win. I’m not going to say, but nine times out of ten, I’m right.” Those are some decent odds, Sandy. We bet everyone in your Oscar party pool hates you!

We think Bullock is being a bit humble, not because we think she was that amazing in The Blind Side, but because the academy has a history of awarding beautiful women with a statue and then allowing them to go right back to making crappy movies. Halle Berry made Catwoman and Gothika after she won, and Mira Sorvino’s best role after her Best Supporting Actress win was a guest appearance on Will and Grace. However, Bullock seems gracious and happy just to be a contender in a field of amazing performances this year and we’re already willing to forgive whatever fish-out-of-water romantic comedy she hands us next.

The official Hope for Haiti Now telethon lineup has just been announced, and this show is going to be even bigger than we had imagined. Rarely, if ever, have so many of the world’s biggest musicians mobilized so quickly with Hollywood elite (plus President Clinton and Oprah) to lend a helping hand in a time of tragedy. If only George Clooney, the mastermind behind the telethon, had been responsible for the relief efforts after Hurricane Katrina!

We already reported that the Hope for Haiti Now lineup will include Robert Pattinson, Bono, Jay-Z, Jennifer Hudson, Alicia Keys, Christina Aguilera, Sting, Taylor Swift, Bruce Springsteen and Shakira. Now we can provide the full, official lineup. Of particular interest will be headliners Jay-Z and Bono (a rock/rap collaboration for the ages) and Justin Timberlake.

Tonight the Hollywood Foreign Breast Press Association recognized actors and filmmakers at the 67th Annual Golden Globe Awards. Tinseltown’s sexiest were on the red carpet, including Halle Berry, Christina Hendricks of “Mad Men,” and Precious‘ Mariah Carey. But we hardly noticed their designer gowns, gigantic jewels, and flawless makeup, because we were too busy focusing on that other enormous accessory of the evening: their, uh, globes. Meryl Streep and Sandra Bullock did more than share a best actress award at the Critics’ Choice Movie Awards — they shared a little tongue, too! In the annals of awards show make-outs (Brit and Madge at the VMA’s in ‘03,  Halle Berry and Jamie Foxx at last year’s Spike Awards and Angelina Jolie and her very own brother at the 2000 Oscars), this kiss wasn’t the hottest or the longest. But that’s only because Meryl didn’t give in to Sandra’s balls-out, open-mouthed advance. See the action below.

Mirror, mirror on the wall which celebrity has the most desirable body of them all? 2009 was all about the curves! In a recent poll, Kate Winslet was named as the most desirable, while curvy stars Halle Berry, Cheryl Cole, Beyonce and Lily Allen made the cut. Bringing up the rear were teeny tiny celebs Victoria Beckham and Kate Moss.

Dr. Jacquie Lavin, who commissioned the YouGov poll, says, “It shows a positive shift that women are more likely to see Kate Winslet and Kelly Brook as the ideal body shape rather than Kate Moss or Victoria Beckham.”

There must be something in the water at Victoria’s Secret because three of their top models (Adriana Lima, Gisele Bundchen and Karolina Kurkova) are currently pregnant and their poster girl, Heidi Klum just had her fourth child in October. Halle Berry and Gabriel Aubrey’s little girl Nahla has already learned how to bust out the ‘tude face when the photogs come around. The world’s most stunning family was spotted arriving at LAX yesterday, with Halle dragging a giant Louis Vuitton suitcase just days after it was announced that Gabriel will star as the face of the luxe company’s latest ad campaign. Manhattan’s Hammerstein Ballroom was glittering last night—and it wasn’t just the reflection off Spike Lee’s hat. Alicia Keys and a very pregnant Padma Lakshmi hosted Keep A Child Alive’s 6th Annual Black Ball last night, entertaining a room full of stars with musical assistance from John Mayer and Chris Martin. Among the celebs in attendance were Usher, David Bowie, Iman, Adrien Grenier, Nick Cannon and Halle Berry, whose sequined, cut-crazy dress fit right in with Spike’s hat. Of course this was always going to happen. Megan Fox and her sexy everythings are going to play Catwoman in the forthcoming Batman movie. Just like Michelle Pfeiffer and Halle Berry before her, Megan is going to nobly look past her “insecurities” to squeeze into a leather catsuit for her many appreciative fans.
