Is Halle Berry Officially Engaged…And Dealing With Death Threats?

Congratulations, Halle Berry! Also, we are so very sorry! According to TMZ, this must be one confusing time for the Dark Tide star. While Halle is allegedly officially betrothed to gentleman friend Olivier Martinez a month after engagement rumors first popped up, the actress also allegedly received death threats from a named Robert Hoskins. Berry allegedly feels so threatened by Hoskins that she is hoping to move with daughter Nahla Ariela to Martinez’s native France. Is there a card for complicated situations like this? You know what? Nevermind. We’ll just get one that’s blank on the inside.

Sadly this isn’t the first time Halle has had to deal with aggressive stalkers; last July Berry had to filed a restraining order against a man named Richard Franco after he broke into her home..twice. Seeing as how Hoskins is the very same man who was shot by Madonna‘s bodyguards while attempting to break into the singer’s home in 1995, we’d say Halle has every right to be terrified. Why do stalkers have to ruin every engagement? Or even one of them?

Do your movies keep filling up the direct-to-DVD dollar bin? Do they often complete the phrase “the worst film since…”? Do they make less money than we did that time we went to a Coinstar? Well, don’t let that get you down, because you could still be in the running for Oscar glory! Every year, the Golden Raspberry Award Foundation names the most terrible films and performances of the year. Sure, it’s gotta hurt to be named the absolute worst of Hollywood, but just know that you’re in surprisingly good company. Halle Tries To Block Visitation, Nanny Denied Restraining Order Against Gabriel Aubry

Halle Berry seems to be gearing up for an all-out brawl with baby daddy Gabriel Aubry over their daughter Nahla Ariela. For better or for worse, it will all have to wait until Monday. Following charges of battery and child endangerment filed by Nahla’s nanny Alliance Kamdem, the Academy Award-winner actress attempted to block her model ex from seeing Nahla until the investigation is over. Judge Scott Gordon instead opted to postpone their hearing until next week, when Judge Mark Juhas returns from vacation. Judge Juhas had been working on the case prior to his leaving for vacation, and will no doubt be thrilled to have it waiting on his desk when he gets back.

Meanwhile, the nanny was denied a restraining order against Aubry, despite her allegations that Berry’s ex yelled at, insulted and at one point shoved her in the presence of his child. Kamdem even goes so far as to claim that Gabriel once denied treatment for a rash Nahla developed. The judge presiding over her filing claimed that her petition was “insufficient and speculative.” Aubry’s rep reminds TMZ, “Anyone can file a police report at any time, regardless of it being accurate.” So which situation would be worse: that this is all a deliberate fabrication or that it’s the awful truth? Both, right? Both would be worse.

Halle’s Ex Gabriel Aubry Investigated For Battery, Child Endangerment

Ugh, and the day was going so well, too. According to TMZ, Halle Berry‘s ex Gabriel Aubry is being investigated for misdemeanor battery and misdemeanor child neglect after allegedly shoving and verbally attacking his nanny. According to their caregiver, who works for both Berry and Aubry, Halle’s ex pushed her into a door while arguing over why daughter Nahla Ariela was not taken to school by Aubry. The fact that the nanny was holding Gabriel and Halle’s daughter at the time of the altercation is what spurred a child endangerment investigation. It’s also spurring us to purse our lips together and shake our heads in utter dismay.

If you recall, Halle and Gabriel spent much of 2011 in and out of court in a dispute that seemed to be approaching a custody battle. We can’t imagine this will help such an already tense situation. More shoving almost never does.

Olivier Martinez’s Life-Long Search For The Perfect Woman Is Over; Halle Wins

Olivier Martinez and Halle Berry might be headed down the aisle soon if rumors are true, but Halle certainly isn’t Olivier’s first stunningly gorgeous lady friend. Or his first Academy Award-winning lovah. Angelina Jolie, Mira Sorvino and Kylie Minogue are just a few of the beautiful, talented, internationally known women Olivier has wooed in his lifetime. Ex Minogue even tweeted, “Congrats to Olivier Martinez and Halle Berry!! #wedding” today, rather than, say, “Burn in hell, Olivier #forever,” which seems like a great sign.

Now, we know we’re not genetically perfect or have Oscars lining or trophy case or anything, but if our ex had even so much as held hands Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, we’d have to hang up our dating pants right then and there. But this is Halle Berry, people! Not even starring in Catwoman can break her stride. Not even Catwoman.

Halle Berry Engaged To Olivier Martinez, Maybe

Are Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez engaged? A few weeks ago, when she was photographed wearing a big emerald sparkler on her ring finger, the speculation was rampant. And now, People is saying it’s true — because a rep at Gurhan jewelry says Olivier did in fact give her a diamond and emerald engagement ring. (Side note: What is it with gossipy jewelers these days?)

Well, he bought the ring and she’s wearing it. But is that a confirmation that the couple, who have been dating since late 2010 after they met on the set of Dark Tide, are actually tying the knot? Maybe it’s just, like, a promise ring or something. After all, Halle did declare back in 2007 to InStyle: “I will never, never get married again. Actually, it’s just that now I’ve come to a place where I think two people can share their lives without the ring, without the piece of paper.”
