We all know how Eva Longoria rolls - remember that ridiculously opulent Paris wedding? She’s a C List TV actress on a show no one’s cared about for years, but in her eyes she’s some sort of Meryl Streep-Queen Elizabeth-King Kong hybrid - a phenomenal and regal actress who takes over cities, regardless of the cost.

Of course, this means she’s celebrating her 35th birthday - a birthday no one really gives a crap about - by gathering a bevy of her BFFS, including Kim Kardashian and Robin Antin, in Miami, where they’ve been busy lunching at the W Hotel. But the real celebration is set to take place on a giant yacht, because nothing says “I’m approaching middle age and I’m terrified” like a boat whose size is eclipsed only by the celebrant’s narcissism. Happy you day, Eva!

You have a fabulous body, so show it off with a sexy sheer sarong, not a frumpy blue towel. Also, what the heck is going on with that messy banana you’re eating? So not sexy! Grab a blowpop and lick that sucker while the excited photogs snap away. And please, we know it’s the beach but there is such a a thing as tinted sunblock! Get some! Yes, really. Desperate Housewife Eva Longoria graces the cover of tres arty French magazine Citizen K looking absolutely nothing like her real self and more like Dr Spock’s hot cousin (well, hot for a Trekky). While it’s interesting to see a cover star not in their usual boobs-out come-hither-boys pose, surely it might have helped sales of the magazine to make their famous cover star actually recognizable? Anyhow, we’re still not sure about those underpants she’s got on - even Lady Gaga might bypass them as too unflattering. Quel horreur!

It’s so annoying when you don’t get divorced and remarried a number of times in Hollywood isn’t it? Staying together with your partner means you only get one shot at that wedding-day attention overload, which just isn’t enough. So Eva Longoria Parker has taken a page out of Seal and Heidi Klum’s book by announcing she’s planning on renewing her vows with husband Tony Parker just two and a half years after doing it the first time around.

“We want something a bit more intimate,” she told Hello! magazine. (Spot the inherent contradiction in terms, there.) We’re not usually fans of Eva Longoria’s super-groomed Eurotrash style - with all those twiddly bits, over-formal dresses and bouffed hair, she dresses a lot older than her years (see also, Catherine Zeta Jones). But recently she’s started to simplify her wardrobe, and we’re totally loving this shift dress she was spotted wearing in Hollywood yesterday. Ew. Eva Longoria, no! Very few things turn our stomach more than when stars blab on about their amazing sex lives and reveal details about what gets them hot in the bedroom. We can’t help it, it just feels like hearing about our parents, or something (Ew! Ew!). But Desperate Housewives vixen Eva just wants to share.

And for those stars who aren’t naturally radiant, the paparazzi show no mercy. They’ll relentlessly snap photos of celebs exiting a gym, finishing a triathlon, or disembarking from a transcontinental flight. These unflattering shots end up all over the gossip rags, making us commoners feel better about the bags under our eyes and less-than-perfect skin. Eva Longoria Parker looked pretty hot a couple of nights ago stepping out for dinner at Beso’s. A bit 2004 with those tumbling extensions, but amazing by anyone’s standards. We wouldn’t automatically say this is a woman in dire need of a four-hour session at the hairdressers, no? Yet the next day, that’s just what the TV star did, spending the best part of her day at Ken Paves‘ L.A. salon, having those fake hair bits ripped out and put back in again.

The result of all this? Eva looked exactly the same. What a, er, transformation!
