20 Adorable Couples Being Adorable To Get You In The Valentine’s Mood

Happy Valentine’s Day! Or not, depending on how you feel about the holiday. And listen, we know there are a lot of singletons out there who are not so pleased about how much we in the media focus on this holiday. But we can’t help it, OK? We cover divorces and breakdowns and deaths and fights all the time, and it’s really nice to have a day that’s all about the important things in life. (No, not the unveiling of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, though that’s nice too.) We just really want to escape from it all and look at Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez nuzzling each other. We would like to soak in the happiness that is Adam Lambert and Sauli Koskinen’s love, bask in Jay-Z and Beyonce’s adorable glory, shiver with delight at the perpetual hotness of Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, and marvel at the lasting power of Will and Jada Pinkett Smith. We are hoping some of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s world-saving affection will rub off on us. And we’re even going to allow for some admiration of Tom Brady and Gisele Bunchen, football loyalties aside.

But here’s some good news for you black-hearted V-day haters: The last time we did a best couples gallery, back in December, one of those couples announced their divorce a few days later. Oh, no! What have we done?!?

Ellen On One Million Moms: “My Haters Are My Motivators”

In a segment taped for today’s Ellen DeGeneres Show, Ellen killed two homophobic birds with one funny speech: She celebrated the Ninth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals’ decision to overturn the gay-marriage banning Prop 8, and at the same time thanked JCPenney for keeping her on as their spokesperson, despite a protest by a group called One Million Moms.

“[N]ormally, I try not to pay attention to my haters, but this time I’d like to talk about it, because my haters are my motivators,” she told the audience, joking that she’s happy about keeping her JCPenney job, because she’ll get great discounts on T-shirts and socks.

DeGeneres went on to poke fun at the One Millions Moms for actually only having 40,000 members on their site. “So they’re rounding up to the nearest million and I get that,” she quipped. And to their statement that the department store is “jumping on the gay bandwagon,” she shot back, “First of all, being gay or pro-gay isn’t a bandwagon. You don’t get a free ride anywhere, there’s no music, and occasionally we’ll sing ‘We Are Family,’ but that’s about it.”

Ellen DeGeneres And Portia De Rossi Wisely Double Up For The Smart One

Do you think Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi are constantly arguing over who is the smart one? They certainly aren’t feuding over who has the sweeter non-threatening dance moves, that’s for sure. We mean, come on. Luckily the couple can both agree on how much they’re killing it career-wise now that their new multi-camera sitcom The Smart One has been picked up for a pilot order by ABC. Now they’ll just have to fight over who has the more jovial interviewing style. Or maybe who’s spent more time in close proximity to David Cross‘s bare chest?

Starring de Rossi and produced by DeGeneres, Deadline reports that their new show focuses on a “brilliant and successful woman” who must reluctantly work for her “less brainy but more popular sister,” a woman who happens to be a former beauty queen, weather girl and, oh right, Mayor. Portia stars as one of the siblings and we know Ellen would be excellent as the other, but then they’d probably disagree over whether that seemed weird or not. It does, doesn’t it? Just a little?

Kristen Bell Sloth Story Reveals Dax Shepard As Best Boyfriend Ever

Some of us didn’t need another reason to love Kristen Bell. Not since the day we watched her first stakeout on Veronica Mars. And lately, what with her Hunger Games superfandom and her House of Lies badassery, we’ve been loving her even more. But some of us also didn’t get how someone of her level of extreme cuteness was engaged to someone of moderate cuteness like Dax Shepard (mostly, we just want her and Logan to be together forever and ever). Until today. On The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Kristen told Ellen how Dax surprised her on her birthday last year by bringing a sloth to their house for her birthday party. Then she shared that her love of sloths is so great that she went into a full-on panic attack after merely GUESSING that there was one in her house. Watch the video below.

Adam Lambert Opens Up About The Bar Brawl That Landed Him In Jail

His Glamness Adam Lambert was arrested in Finland last month following a massive fight with his partner Sauli Koskinen outside of a club. The incident landed them both in jail, but now Glambert says things are fine between the two and chalks the whole thing up to much booze. He opened up about the experience on The Ellen DeGeneres Show this afternoon.

“What happened was, we had too much to drink. We screwed up,” he told Ellen. “There were no injuries, no violence. It was more of childish, foolish, messiness.” The argument between Adam and Sauli started in the Helsinki club DTM, but grew even more heated once they got booted out. When onlookers tried to intervene, Adam reportedly attacked them. Police were called, which resulted with several hours of jail time.”When you add alcohol to a situation, things can get out of control and some people can get upset and emotional,” he continued.

But things are still great between the couple, who were recently named the FABLife’s weekly Hotness. “I was a little irresponsible and I think what I learned from the experience was that I owe it to myself, to my loved ones, and to my fans to be a little more adult and pull it together.” Head under the jump to see what else Adam has to say!

Taylor Lautner Fake Isn’t Joining These Awesome Coming Out Covers

You have to feel sorry for Taylor Lautner. No, not because someone faked this People magazine cover story in which he apparently comes out of the closet and is “more liberated, and happier than I’ve ever been” as a result. (Just in case you didn’t smell a rat about such a story being a “special double issue,” a People rep confirmed that it was fake to GossipCop.com. Also, that quote should seem mighty familiar to some of you … more later.) But because he’d be in some really great company if he were gay and chose to come out in this manner. So many celebs have been announcing their sexual preference via their own websites or TV interviews, but the tradition of the heartfelt magazine cover story interview — whether it’s a shocking revelation or confirming years of rumors and speculation — has a warm place in our pop-culture hearts. Back in 1976, Elton John’s first admission in print that he was bisexual isn’t even mentioned on the cover of Rolling Stone. In fact, it isn’t discussed until the very end of the article. We’re not sure if that’s because it was too shocking or not shocking in the least. “There’s nothing wrong with going to bed with somebody of your own sex,” the singer declared. “I think everybody’s bisexual to a certain degree. I don’t think it’s just me. It’s not a bad thing to be.”

Lindsay Lohan Allegedly Blows Off Ellen Taping

Looks like we’ll be missing out on a lot of awkward grimacing and exasperated eye rolls, now that Lindsay Lohan has bailed on her schedule taping of The Ellen DeGeneres Show today. Gossip Cop reports that Lilo allegedly failed to return to L.A. from her Hawaiian vacation, meaning her interview may have to be scrapped entirely. Don’t worry, Lilo! We can just tape a picture of you and Ellen to the wall and stare at it for an hour; that’ll equal out to approximately the same amount of uncomfortable silence!

Seemingly in support of their claims, Lindsay Lohan’s rep allegedly told Gossip Cop, “Lindsay was delayed in Hawaii due to a travel-related issue. She will be heading back this evening in time to appear in court tomorrow. Lindsay offered to tape Ellen tomorrow, but the show was unable to shift things around, and tomorrow is their last day of taping for the season.” Rumors suggested that the Lindsay Lohan Playboy pics that leaked last Friday would have been the focal point of their interview, which means we may now never know the answer to all our in-depth questions! Questions like, “What were you thinking?” and “Why did they make your lips look like that?” and “Did Dina tell you to do this? She did, didn’t she? That woman!”

So, Wait…Why Is Lindsay Lohan Debuting Her Playboy Pics On Ellen?

Ellen DeGeneres, no! Seeing Lindsay Lohan’s Playboy photos on your show is not the kind of fun we want to have a little of today. “Lindsay has agreed to do one media interview during the on-sale period of her issue, and has chosen Ellen. Lindsay will not be doing any additional interviews to promote her pictorial,” a Playboy rep informed the New York Post. Ugh, we just want to see Ellen dancing around all goofy in her Vans, no aiding and abetting what seems like the next stop on the downward spiral of Lohan’s career!

We guess now that Oprah has moved on to bigger and infinitely better things, Ellen would be our first pick to show off our new “project,” too. That being said, what is DeGeneres getting out of this? The moms that tune into her show don’t want to hear about Lilo’s nudie photos; they want to buy her a sandwich before slapping Dina Lohan across the face. On top of all that, this is a real missed opportunity for Maury! That being said, be sure to set your Tivos now for December 15. You know none of us would dare miss it.

Stack Of Robert Pattinson Pancakes, Anyone?

We kid you not with that headline. Although, you may have to wait a couple of days for a stack. A Chicago based artist named Katherine Kalnes has made pancakes in the mold of celebrities like Robert Pattinson and Justin Bieber, as you can see above. Each pancake apparently takes up to eight hours to make. Immortalized in batter so far have been Taylor Lautner, Ellen DeGeneres and Ryan Gosling to name a few. We definitely wouldn’t mind taking a bite out of some of them. It may be weird, but still a lot more palatable than people making inappropriate sculptures of the Biebs, at least.

Rihanna Meets The “Super Bass” Girls, Makes Us Wish She Was Our Big Sister

The surprises just keep on coming for little Sophia Grace and Rosie! The two tiny soulsters blew up the internet with their cover of Nicki Minaj’s “Super Bass” earlier this month, and since then they’ve performed with their idol, and walked the red carpet at the AMAs last weekend. And now, thanks to their adoptive fairy godmother Ellen DeGeneres, the girls got to meet fellow diva, Rihanna! The moment happened at Ellen’s studios, when Riri surprised the girls while they were waiting backstage.

“I’m like a fan of you guys, you know that?!” the “We Found Love” singer said to the girls as they shrieked with delight. She then scooped them both up for massive hugs and asked to be their best friend…and then we blacked out from the cuteness. As adorable as it was, we’re having trouble reconciling the PG-rated cuteness on the screen with the pants-less wonder we’ve come to know and love! Still, Rihanna seems like the world’s coolest older sister. Will Sophia and Rosie sing a Rihanna song now? We’re calling it…
