Usher And His Ex Face Off In The Custody Battle We All Saw Coming

Usher and his ex-wife Tameka Foster Raymond had such a notoriously rocky relationship, the only surprising thing about their rumored custody battle is that it took over two years for them to come to a stand-off. Oh, and the fact that Tameka specifically cited Usher’s cancellation of her Saks Fifth Avenue card in her legal filings, according to TMZ. Our eyebrows lifted ever so slightly at that one.

More importantly, however, the court documents filed by the singer’s ex this weekend in Georgia requested full custody of their two sons, alleging that Usher failed to be an adequate parenting partner in a variety of ways, including getting Tameka’s approval before hiring nannies, denying her adequate vacation time with their boys and probably just existing in general. In case you forgot all the ups and downs (predominantly downs) of Usher’s two year marriage, let us refresh your memory as to why this almost inevitable custody battle should be a surprise to no one, especially not Usher:

May 2007: Usher lets go of his mother Jonetta Patton from her role as his manager. Nothing too out of the ordinary, until…
July 28, 2007: Usher and Tameka cancel their wedding the morning of the event amid rumors that Usher’s mother is against the marriage. To quote a very wise woman, something in the milk ain’t clean.
August 3, 2007: Usher and Tameka tie the knot, for better or for worse.
November 26, 2007: Usher Raymond V enters the world.
December 10, 2008: Lil’ Naviyd Ely Raymond is born.
February 2009: Tameka ends up in the hospital after medical complications following plastic surgery in Brazil. Not related to their marriage in any way, just … ugh.
June 12, 2009: Usher files for divorce, indicating that the couple has been “continuously lived in a bona fide state of separation” since July 2008.
July 2009: Tameka claims to be shocked by Usher’s move to file to divorce since they were “intimately together as husband and wife as recently as June 6.” Wow, things must have really gone south in those six days. Also, ugh.
September 2009: Usher calls 911 to imply that Tameka allegedly keyed his car.
March 2011: An alleged Usher sex tape co-starring Tameka surfaces, then quickly, mercifully re-submerges.
November 2011: Tameka wants full custody of those kids!

Prince Harry, Usher Both Interested In Pippa Middleton’s Underwear Situation

Looks like everyone can’t stop thinking about Pippa Middleton‘s butt. Grazia UK is all a-flutter with rumors that newly single siblings-in-law Pippa and Prince Harry have been spending a lot of time together since William and Kate’s wedding, even giving each other racy nicknames. Says the Daily Mail, “Pippa apparently calls the Prince ‘Captain’—which is his military rank—while he calls her ‘Commando,’ in reference to rumours that she was not wearing any underwear on her sister’s wedding day.” It’s so wrong…and yet so right!

Harry isn’t the only celeb concerned with Pippa’s coverage, though. She’ll be modeling Usher’s new ladies’ underwear line if the singer gets his way. “Name your price,” he told The Daily Star. “I don’t think there’s a more beautiful, more stunning, more talked-about woman in the world at the moment. I’m sure everybody is trying to sign her up. She won’t be cheap, but she has the looks and the popularity to really establish a new product.” Imagine having both these guys on your tail.

Usher’s Sons Give NY The Gas Face

The family Usher is in NYC while daddy does some tour dates in the area this week, and while we’re always happy to see the tots (remember when they hit Uncle Bieber’s Never Say Never premiere?), 2-year-old Naviyd and 3-year-old Usher V didn’t look too happy leaving their hotel yesterday. Was it a fight? The cameras? The smell of NYC? The fact that dad had to play Rhode Island last night? We’re guessing it was Rhode Island.

Stars Get Their Hipster On At Coachella

Coachella 2011 just ended and as usual, tons of stars were around – both onstage and off – at the music festival. They all wore their best hippie chic gear, as is evident with the likes of Paris Hilton, Nicole Richie and Vanessa Hudgens (who, we kid you not, wore printed bell-bottoms). Some ladies did represent vintage, like Dita von Teese who looked like a 1940′s pin-up in a sailor hat, and Katy Perry, who went quasi-flapper!

It’s no secret that we have a massive crush on Ian Somerhalder and we’ve resolutely ignored rumors of him and Nina Dobrev dating because IT ISN’T HAPPENING. So him and Nina at Coachella? Casually almost draped over each other? Hanging out with Joshua Jackson and Diane Kruger? Just because those two are a couple, doesn’t mean it’s a double date! (Someone hold us while we cry.) Usher Gives His Gaddafi Money To Amnesty International

Well, that’s everybody, isn’t it? Usher has given his profits from a Muammar Gaddafi-funded concert in St. Bart’s to charity, telling the Associated Press he’s “sincerely troubled” by the association. “I am sincerely troubled to learn about the circumstances surrounding the Nikki Beach St. Bart’s event that took place on New Year’s Eve 2009,” he said in a statement. “I will be donating all of my personal proceeds from that event to various human rights organizations.” Amnesty International confirmed they received a donation from Usher, though the amount was undisclosed.

Usher’s penance follows Beyonce’s donation to Haiti and apologies from Mariah Carey and Nelly Furtado for playing concerts sponsored by family of the Libyan dictator—with WikiLeaks bringing new light to the long-brewing controversy. Considering stars usually sate their philanthropic urges by recording charity singles and asking us to buy expensive “part of the proceeds” profits, maybe having singers perform for despots and then guilting them into giving away their cut would bring even more money in for good causes. Take from the war criminal, give to the poor!

Justin Bieber’s Never Say Never Premiere Brings Famous Families, Freaks

Good news for the Bieb: unlike the sad New York screening of Justin Bieber: Never Say Never, bigger stars than Stephen Baldwin actually turned up, with Will Smith, Judd Apatow, Usher, Jane Lynch, Melanie Brown and other parents bringing their kids along to the 3D documentary/concert film. But how do you explain the celebs without cute little ones who came? Ok, Selena Gomez is Bieber’s “secret” girlfriend, and Perez Hilton (looking creepy in a Britney Spears t-shirt) doesn’t have anything better to do, but Whitney Port? Will.I.Am? Chris Brown? Even weirder was that Miley Cyrus wore more clothes than necessary (did she forget to take off her bathrobe?), while Leona Lewis decided to show off her mid-riff under a completely inappropriate lip-shaped top. There are children present, Leona! Cover up!

Usher Kicked In Face By Fan During Lapdance

We’ve set the above video to start right before a fan accidentally smacks Usher in the face with her heel, but we recommend watching the previous two and a half minutes as well. While lots of women would probably love to be dry humped by Usher on a couch in the middle of Madison Square Garden, we doubt many would seem as comfortable as this lucky fan did, twisting, grinding and laughing as Usher sang “Trading Places” and worked his way through the Kama Sutra. The pair even played the mishap off like pros, with Usher cracking “we play rough in the bedroom! We kick each other in the face all the time” while she attended to his boo-boo. And yes, she still got a parting kiss.

Celeb Twitters Resurrected After Billionaire Gives $500,000

Thank you, Stewart Rahr, for giving half a million dollars to Keep A Child Alive. The children thank you, we thank you, and all those celebs who shut down their twitter feeds thinking fans would give enough of a crap to raise $1 million thank you. Yes, Kim Kardashian, Lady Gaga, Ryan Seacrest and even little Lenny Kravitz are free to tweet again, now that the billionaire owner of Kinray—known as “Stewie Rah Rah” for his name-dropping ways—has tossed them a twig off one of the money trees planted outside his $45 million home, taking care of the pesky second half of their goal. Bet the granddaughters of a certain pharmaceutical entrepreneur can expect star-studded birthday parties this year!

“Thank you so much and never stop buying life!” said Kim Kardashian. “So stoked to be back on twitter!” said Ryan Seacrest! “I’m alive!” said Usher, forgetting he already tweeted four times during his account’s “death” (jerk). “Weeee diddddddd itttttt!!!!!” said Keep A Child Alive head Alicia Keys, who might think about going straight to the damn billionaires next time.

Usher Breaks Twitter Charity “Death” Pact

“It’s truly a battle of Raymond Vs. AIDS,” said Usher about “killing” his Twitter late last month…and it looks like AIDS won! Though the Twitter “death” fund drive for Keep A Child Alive has made less than half of its million dollar goal, Usher has broken ranks with Justin Timberlake, Lady Gaga, Kim Kardashian, Ryan Seacrest and all the other stars staying mute for the charity. The singer tweeted yesterday, “Twit fam, I’m whack for being late, I need your help. Twit,Happy Birthday Rico Love!!! He is the man that wrote you ‘There goes my Baby.’” Hey, a good cause is a good cause, but Rico Love only gets one birthday a year!

Usher then went on to thank Atlanta for a great show, incoherently respond to a fan (“I’m listenin’ to you. I would’ve picked you…I didn’t hear you”) and give shout-outs to compatriots Chris Brown, Miguel, Trey Songz (“we shut it down!!!”) and “lil homie Prince JB” (whose mother calls him Justin Bieber). No explanation has been given for his memory lapse, and so far the rest of the celebs appear to be keeping quiet: will they give up too or is Usher that much more of a clueless jackass than his peers?
