Alicia Keys’ Black Ball Attacts Some Colorful Fashions

Last night, Alicia Keys continued her work to solve the AIDS crisis, hosting the 8th Annual Keep a Child Alive Black Ball at New York’s Hammerstein Ballroom. While helping to fund research, treatment and care for those affected by AIDS, the guest were treated to performances by the likes of Keys, Usher, Mary J. Blige, will.i.am and more. The evening also honored the late Beatle and philanthropist George Harrison. Our invite was surely lost in the mail, but we’re content to gaze upon the stars’ best red-carpet fashions. Steve Jobs Dead: World Reacts To Loss Of A Visionary

It would be hard to overstate how much Apple co-founder Steve Jobs transformed our lives, from getting a mouse into our hands to introducing the touch screen, from how we listen to music to how we talk face-to-face on our mobile phones. In the end, Jobs definitely delivered on his “Think Different” advertising slogan. So it’s not surprising that celebs from every walk of life took to Twitter and Facebook like the rest of us to share their condolences upon hearing that he lost his battle to cancer at the age of 56. R.I.P. Steve.

Who Is This Celebrity Baby Yogi?

Could little Egypt get ANY CUTER? Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz baby boy looks adorable in his pj’s, all solemn and yogi-like in what could pass off as the lotus pose! We insist it does because, GUYS. This kid is to much to handle. Swizz tweeted the picture writing, “Egypt started is own yoga class today in the house LMAO.” We’re totally gushing about how beautiful he is, we know — but will you look at those cheeks! He’s making our ovaries hurt!

2011 BET Awards Green Carpet: Who, What, Wear

Before we can say anything else, how about Wiz Khalifa and Amber Rose getting frisky on the green carpet, huh? The 2011 BET Awards took place at the Shrine Auditorium in L.A last night and the duo looked quite happy wrapped around each other! We’re also loving the Dolce & Gabbana blazer and pants combination Alicia Keys wore to the event and Kerry Washington has our vote with that acidic Michael Kors gown. We also totally expected Nicki Minaj to bring on some full-on cray-cray but it was a half-hearted commitment. We think she actually looked quite pretty in the textured pink dress-tight-boots outfit she was working.

If you want the list of winners, click here, but hint hint: Chris Brown and Busta Rhymes are in there. Also spotted were folks like Nelly, Ne-Yo, Mary J. Blige, Jill Scott (love her) and the Smith kids — Jaden and Willow. Of course, Willow’s pal Justin Bieber was there too. Was there any ground breaking fashion? No, but everyone looked really comfortable which is quite a change! Having said that, we would like to forget all about Amber Rose’s shredded catsuit forever. Report: Alicia Keys Gives Birth To A Baby Boy

Alicia Keys was just seen strolling around the city on Wednesday looking super pregnant, and we’re happy to learn that she has apparently had her baby! According to sources, Keys gave birth to a baby boy at New York’s St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital and it’s reported that she and her beau, Swizz Beatz (whose real name is Kasseem Dean) have named the baby Egypt Dean. Earlier reports put her due date somewhere in November, but it looks like Egypt came a bit earlier than expected.

Exclusive: Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys Are Obsessed With Each Other, Exes Be Damned!

VH1 News’ lovely and tenacious reporter, Janell Snowden, braved wind and rain on the red carpet at Alicia Keys‘ Black Ball last night, and we’re grateful she did. She chatted with everyone from Usher to Deepak Chopra, but the most vocal stars of all were event hostess Alicia and her hubby, Swizz Beatz.

Janell chatted with each of the lovebirds separately, and yet all they wanted to talk about was each other. Swizz called his new bride his “soulmate” and “partner” while she gushed about their love and revealed that he’s pampering her like crazy during her pregnancy. It was a straight-up love fest, the kind of which would make us barf if it wasn’t so damn adorable.

Swizz’s ex-wife Mashonda recently accused Alicia of trying to manipulate Swizz’s kids into calling her “Umi” (mother in Arabic) and claims that she ignored her emails about the nickname. “She never replied,” says Mashonda. “She doesn’t reply to me. She has never given me that respect.”

It doesn’t seem like Alicia and Swizz are phased by Mashonda’s claims at all. Still, who do you think is right in this never-ending love triangle drama?

Alicia Keys Gets Rid Of Her Manager

Alicia Keys is on a roll and sorting out every aspect of her life. She’s in love with Swizz Beatz and the happy couple is expecting a child. And now it’s her career’s turn to steal the focus. Alicia has parted ways with her longtime manager, Jeff Robinson. This apparently was long overdue, and her hubby-to-be helped her in making the decision, sources reveal, “Her fiance Swizz Beatz definitely played a huge part in killing him off. She got smart — and got a smart boyfriend — after years of people around her telling her she was crazy to let this continue to happen.”

The “crazy” they’re talking about is Robinson charging Alicia a 25% commission. And when she was starting out, he got a very substantial 33% for a longggg time. Now it’s time for him to go and make money off someone else. A company announcement stated, “Keys and Robinson have mutually and amicably agreed to pursue other opportunities. This decision will allow Alicia [and her company, AK Worldwide] more control over all aspects of her career.” That’s called taking care of business.

Are Alicia And Swizz Jumping On The Secret Marriage Bandwagon?

Mashonda must be more nauseated than ever, what with new rumors alleging that her now ex-husband Swizz Beatz will marry Alicia Keys on a yacht this weekend. MediaTakeOut is reporting that the music producer and singer are set to officially marry in a “lavish ceremony” while cruising through the Caribbean.

It’s been a whirlwind romance for Alicia and Swizz which, according to Mashonda, started before they were even divorced in 2008. The scorned ex-wife spread her fury to Twitter last year when she questioned Alicia directly, “If you are reading this Alicia, let me start by saying, you know what you did. You know the role you played and you know how you contributed to the ending of my marriage.” The scandalous relationship took a turn for the serious when the couple announced a few months ago that they were engaged and – surprise, surprise – Alicia was pregnant.

Sounds like a hot mess, huh? According to a recent interview Mashonda had with Vibe.com she is moving on, but don’t expect her to attend the wedding, “Not out of malice, but because weddings are sacred. It’s just not my place.”
