Snoop Dogg Arrested In Texas. You Know What For.

Snoop Dogg was arrested in Texas this weekend after it was discovered that he was running a massive Ponzi scheme, a nefarious plot by which he was defrauding dozens of investors out of millions of dollars. Just kidding! Ugh, we cannot keep a straight face! While Snoop didn’t Bernie Madoff anyone, he did get arrested for marijuana possession in Texas this weekend. TMZ reports that border patrol dogs in the Texas town of Sierra Blanca sniffed out some of the wacky tabaccky aboard Snoop’s tour bus, which lead to a citation for misdemeanor possession. Hoo boy, but really. The look on your face. Just priceless.

While he was arrested, Snoop Dogg did not get taken into custody and, per his Twitpics, spent the rest of the weekend in San Antonio at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl. As if Snoop would commit a crime that didn’t involve him laughing hysterically, eating so much pizza and falling asleep on a pile of coats. As if.

What did we do before celebrities found out about Twitter? Whether it’s hot bodies in bikinis, hot bodies out of bikinis, scabs, famous people without makeup or ill-advised tattoos, 2011 was a great year for celebrity TMI tweets. Everyone from Gaga and Kanye to Katy Perry and Mariah Carey wanted to share the inside of their hearts (and pants and bathroom stalls) with the world. Not that we want them to stop, mind you! Not like we would ever want them to stop. In the meantime, check out the 28 Best TwitPics of 2011: Because you can’t untweet something once it’s been tweeted, no matter how hard you try.

Snoop Dogg Celebrates His 40th Birthday With A Forty Cake

Snoop Dogg turns the big 4-0 today, and to mark the occasion he got a cake shaped like…a forty. The rapper celebrated at Hollywood’s Rolling Stone Lounge last night with a cake featuring a bottle of Colt 45 malt liquor made out of fondant icing. Some sparklers also adorned the top, because something had to be blazin’ on his cake. We hope he washed it down with some gin and juice. Fellow guests include hip hop luminaries like Dr. Dre and Bootsy Collins. Check it out in the gallery below!

Steve Jobs Dead: World Reacts To Loss Of A Visionary

It would be hard to overstate how much Apple co-founder Steve Jobs transformed our lives, from getting a mouse into our hands to introducing the touch screen, from how we listen to music to how we talk face-to-face on our mobile phones. In the end, Jobs definitely delivered on his “Think Different” advertising slogan. So it’s not surprising that celebs from every walk of life took to Twitter and Facebook like the rest of us to share their condolences upon hearing that he lost his battle to cancer at the age of 56. R.I.P. Steve.

Snoop Dogg To Get His Own Sitcom

Time to take those Cosby sweaters out of storage and call up Dave Coulier to see if he’s free to play a wacky uncle (he is), Snoop Dogg’s new sitcom is headed to your living room soon. Snoop Dogg is slated to play the father in a new family sitcom for Warner Bros. TV, though we imagine they’ll probably have to edit out any useful life experience Snoop would bring to the role: the ins and outs of pimping, what to do when the pigs try to get at you, etc. You know, basic dad stuff.

Snoop has already ruled the roost in his reality series Snoop Dogg’s Family Hood and was recently cast in the biopic The Legend of Fillmore Slim. We hope every episode of his show features Snoop’s kid getting in trouble, only to accidentally listen to the album where his dad brags about doing the exact same thing. Katy Perry can be their Wilson!

The Lowdown On The MuchMusic Video Awards

The MuchMusic Video Awards went down last night in Toronto and we have to say that Selena Gomez is definitely the hostess with the mostess. Not only did she look super hot on stage, compering and performing, but she also got to hang with boyfriend Justin Bieber as he won “Ur Favorite Artist” and “International Video of the Year By A Canadian” (along with Drake). That’s really an award.

As we posted earlier, Lady Gaga‘s fake blue pubic fur may have been the show stopper, and she also emerged from an egg during the show as well. That’s a whole lot of “performance”, for which we’re certain Canada is most grateful for. Other than that, Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev arrived hand-in-hand finally confirming what we’ve known for ages — that they’re a couple! An unexpected guest, but a very welcome one, was Colin Farrell too. We don’t know how he had fallen off our radar, but he’s back on for good now! Snoop Dogg performing, Bruno Mars crooning, David Guetta scowling, Avril Lavigne posing — it’s all there in our gallery below so take a look.

2011 Billboard Music Awards Showtime! Britney, Rihanna, Nicki! Together

The 2011 Billboard Music Awards held at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday, gave is some pretty awesome moments on air, even though the carpet fashion was lacking. We have to give props to Senor Chang Ken Jeong for having the ability to humiliate himself on stage for laughs! But everything anyone did at the show—including Beyonce performing a very sexy “Run the World (Girls)”—was overshadowed by Britney Spears. Brit-Brit had some help on stage in creating two incredibly memorable performances. The first was with Rihanna on a remix of S&M which kicked off the awards. The second was with Nicki Minaj on “Till The World Ends,” after Minaj sang “Super Bass.” Badass!

That was just the beginning. The Billboard stage saw the likes of U2, Neil Diamond, Mary J. Blige and cutie Justin Bieber (in a very Vegas-esque golden tux) come on. Bono and gang were on hand to receive the Touring award while Neil accepted the Billboard Icon award (he also sang “Sweet Caroline” and “America” before receiving the trophy). The Biebs won the Billboard.com Fan Favorite Award and the Top New Artist Award but how about that kiss with Selena Gomez, huh?

Ri-Ri took home the Radio Artist of the Year and Female Artist of the Year while Taylor Swift (in a trademark sparkly gown) accepted the Billboard 200 Artist of the Year and Country Artist of the Year. Beyonce was feted with a video montage that featured Barbra Streisand, Bono, Stevie Wonder and Michelle Obama while receiving the Billboard Millennium Award. Look here for a full list of Billboard award winners. And if you just want to take a look at some fun moments from the show, check out our gallery below.

How Did Snoop Dogg Celebrate 4/20?

How could we forget the day dedicated to stoners? This past Wednesday was 4/20, which means that plenty of people across the planet celebrated in a haze. Leading the parade was Snoop Dogg, who tweeted, “Happy 420 to d whole world from snoop dogg aka bob marley reincarnated pupils dilated!! Hahaha smoke a zip n dip to a new trip. #snoop420.” This incoherent message came after he posted similar tweets (including shout outs to Willie Nelson and the like) the whole day!

And in case no one was getting his spliff trip, Snoop also tweeted, “This what we do on 420 !!” along with a picture of his favorite bowl. Which — and we had to say it — is the most phallic-like apparatus we’ve seen in a long time. That and the Doggfather’s glazed eyes served the puff-puff-pass purpose quite adequately. We’re guessing Smoke Weed Everyday was playing on a loop.

Enter The Sheenius: Charlie Sheen And Snoop Dogg Collabo Confirmed

There’s nothing like blasting the hottest jam of the summer while driving in your car, windows down, hair blowing in the wind, the crazed voice of a former Two And A Half Men star screaming over a sick dance beat. Hope that’s exactly how you envisioned your summer, because Billboard confirms the Charlie Sheen and Snoop Dogg single the actor tweeted about last Friday is happening. “Warlock meets his makers-music makers that is @SnoopDogg @robpatterson666 get ready to rock the Sheenius within!,” Charlie tweeted about the collobo. We are always ready to rock out with our Sheenius out, and it looks like we might just get our chance.

Produced by Filter’s Rob Patterson, it seems likely that the pair would want to have their masterpiece finished by the time Sheen’s comedy tour kicks off Saturday in Detroit. Meanwhile Charlie has been hyping Snoop’s new album Doggumentary, which dropped yesterday, to his fans. “Mark this: Snoop dropped tha new album #doggumentary… EPIC My head is on fire…literally Buy it! ybw http://bit.ly/doggumentaryalbum ,” the warlock king tweeted. Snoop Dogg gave Katy Perry‘s “California Girls” the boost it needed to kill it last summer; maybe a skull consumed in flames will be the new breast-mounted whip-cream bazooka. Though if we had to assumed, Charlie probably fit a few of those into his tour budget anyway.

Celebrities Tweet Condolences For Nate Dogg, Family Discusses Cause of Death

Yesterday we posted the extremely sad news of Nate Dogg‘s death. His passing was met with a fair amount of shock because the entertainer was only 41 years old, and no details had emerged about what caused him to die. While the official cause hasn’t yet been stated, Nate’s family is speaking out about what the possible cause could be. His manager and close friend Rod McGrew said he was, “95% recovered from the first stroke in 2007.” Nate had suffered two strokes — one in 2007 and one in 2008 — which left him partial paralyzed and with memory loss. What’s confusing about this is that McGrew revealed that Nate had “cognitively recovered,” and was functioning and alert in the days leading up to his death.

Either way, McGrew’s given a statement on the family’s (and his) behalf that reads, “We appreciate the enormous outpouring of response from all over the world. We greatly appreciate that and thank everyone for their prayers and support. We know that Nate will be hanging out with his good friend 2Pac and Biggie.” Meanwhile, the music community are pouring in tributes and condolences for their friend.

Snoop Dogg tweeted, “We lost a true legend n hip hop n rnb. One of my best friends n a brother to me since 1986 when I was a sophomore at poly high where we met.” And, “I love u buddy luv. U will always b wit me 4ever n a day u put the g n g funk u put the 1 n 213 n u put yo stamp on evrybdy u ever didit wit.”

Ludacris tweeted, “RIP NATE DOGG!!!”
